I would do it, honestly. You have no idea if you'll look good with short hair until you do it. 95% of girls do look amazing with a pixie. I want one so badly but I'm too in love with my hair

| Does anyone else have problems being different from their entire family? Does this cause a lot of conflict/friction? Has anyone ever been rejected from their family because of the way you look/act/chose to be? I'm from a VERY small farming community. Due to the internet I was able to get out and beforehand I feel as though the internet helped mold me into my own person and not a small town hoosier stuck in that town for the rest of my life. My mother is a complete idiot 85% of the time. Occasionally we can get along via text but most of the time I cannot stand her. She's been mentally abusive since I was around 9 years old. I was a fat little kid and she would always make sure I knew I was fat and disgusting. When I got into middle school I was still chubby but I entered my little goth kid Marilyn Manson stage. She made sure I knew she hated the way I looked and she was embarrassed that I was her child. Around 14-17 I was in my Scenebean stage. She went ahead and made sure that I knew she thought I was a huge person of questionable reputation [apparently dressing cute and not remotely provocative = person of questionable reputation]. I also started becoming bulimic at this time due to her I'm assuming. She didn't know but she was always say I was too skinny and disgusting to look at. She would comment everyday that I was skinny and needed to eat more. When I did eat a lot she would scold me for it [even though she didn't know I threw it up later]. I'm 19 now and living on my own; I moved out the weekend after my 18th birthday. A few months ago she invited me to come with her to The Cheesecake Factory for lunch. When I got there we literally started screaming at each other in the parking lot because she commented that my side cut [I have half my head shaved] was trashy and I looked like I did meth and sold drugs [I've never touched a drug, cig, or been drunk in my life so I blew up]. We are trying to mend out relationship now but love...I cannot stand her backwoods, small town opinions. She's completely tuned out from the real world and stuck in that small town hoosier lifestyle. I cannot wait for the day she sees all my tattoos. It's going to be a brawl. |

Inb4 idiots start arguing that video games effect people's outlook on killing INNOCENT CHILDREN. @Peeps I'm not sure if this was said earlier but apparently his child did attend the school. Any status on his own child? Like...did the kid even go to school that day? Was he shot too? Or did he just watch his father kill all his friends... |

| I had to take my nose piercing out recently. It had a HUGE keloid above it. I contacted my new piercing [who did my dahlias] and he told me to try tea tree oil. It definitely started helping but it kept coming back, plus he pointed out it was pierced way too low anyway. I'm kinda pissy that I'm out $70. Apparently a lot of the cause was basically my own fault anyway. I asked if she would pierce it with a hoop and she said she would since I'm experienced with modifications. DO NOT NOT NOT NOT ever let anyone pierce you with a hoop. It's not worth it guys. Just wait out the two months. It's worth the wait to have a happy piercing. |

They are like cheeks but closer to the mouth and I'm in love. [I requested mine be a bit further from the mouth however]

| Ouch. Unfortunately I'm used to people like this. I live in St. Louis [the actual downtown city, not the rich suburbs] and African Americans are the majority and white is the minority here. I've been called racist because of my hair [?? what], my clothing, and my attitude. The people here will find any reason to make a white person uncomfortable. :/ |
| @Nymfetamin I've never tried Kool-aid; we also have hair chalking here. It was a huge trend over the summer but it died pretty fast. It looked awesome but the chalk would come off all over your clothes and ruin them :/ @VIP Pink is adorable, would you be doing neon or pastel? |

@Serum I have yet to see what this color is going to do. It's already turning out to be green in some light so I'm sure I'll be an ugly green color after my first official wash. I'm lucky I can get away with not washing my hair for about a week and not looking greasy so that's helpful :p I didn't have a problem with my lavender, I guess it was because it was so diluted :p Pink however....eh. Never again.
@Flamingo I hate bleaching but it's always a necessity for coloring odd colors
Even if it takes color over the color you have it, it could turn out a really nasty color when it fades. You could always do like under your bangs. I love when girls do under their bangs and a small chuck under the side their bangs go towards. It's adorable :] Plus you don't really have to worry about roots much. |

I haven't had my natural hair color in about 7 years :/ Brands I would reccommend would be: Special Effects, Directions, Splat [I heard this brand isn't awful but it's about Manic Panic quality] There really aren't a lot of brands :p @Sophix3 Haha thank you, I loved my blonde, but my eyebrows are basically black so it kinda bothered me how contrasting it was. Haha thank you, I'm trying to make her a pin-up style. I finally finished her face and am still toying with outfits. |

I guess I have issues with it not being my real hair :/ @Patience I guess I wouldn't know your paint :p My hair is pretty thin and pin straight so it just gives in to whatever styling I want :p I'll think of some stuff for make up. | Note this anime is TV-MA, it does have violence, profanity, and shows breasts/panties/etc. My goodness, I love this anime. I just found season 1 and 2 on Netflix. The only part I kind of dislike is the random musical numbers in some episodes. It's kinda cheesy and I would rather them continue on the story >_> Does anyone else watch it? Opinions. | @Patience I understand completely, I used to HATE odd colored hair because I used to think it looked trashy; since most girls who had it back then didn't take care of it. Now I love it, I find it can look classy if done correctly but I totally respect your opinion. HOWEVER, I do plan on doing make up/hair tutorials when I get a better camera. My boyfriend and I are going halvesies on a fancy camera around Christmas :] |

| @Mirth I was about to apologize for not replying sooner but i realized it's the same day :p Do you like Manic Panic? It's looks the same color as mine! I heard it fades into a gross green color so I never bought it. But I may use it to fill because I'm a bit poor at the moment. Mine came out a bit green because it was dyed over lavender so the colors contrasted but I love being a mermaid haha. |

| Personally I've learned to ignore....promiscuous girls constantly hitting up my boyfriend.
I know my boyfriend would never cheat on me. He loves me to death and I would never question that. But in the back of my head my past self has trust issues due to being cheated on by every guy before him. So I'll be sitting here knowing he wouldn't do anything but in the back of my head my mind keeps wondering.
There's one girl in particular that he works with that tends to constantly text him and post on his Facebook statuses. She's clearly not the most angelic of girls. She obviously flirts.
I eventually confronted him and he apologized and was really upset and thought he would going to lose me over a silly co-worker girl he has no interests in.
How do I just ignore this girl? I'm trying my best but she just puts me off. I'm not a jealous person but...it's one of those people that you just want to...go away.
I'm also curious if you all have had similar situations and how you managed to just ignore it and move on. Link to Significant other's friends with obvious intentions. |

| @bri It definitely makes like easier :p Pink is about the only color that is difficult to get out of hair. For some reason it stains worse than any other color, even red. |
| @bri It'll always wash out. If you don't like it you can scrub it out with hand soap. My hair was lavender before and I used a toner + 2 hand soap washings to get it to that grey color so I could dye it blue without weird colors showing up. |

| @Psychedelia Isn't color shield the pink gel like shampoo, or is that Herbal Essence. Regardless I'm going to check it out, thank you. Also a note for red heads, go to beauty supply stores and get a red depositing shampoo, they work! |

| @Psychedelia I just rarely wash my hair, and when I do I wash it separately from that daily shower in as cold of water as possible. I've heard good things about Splat but I haven't seen too many reviews on it. I may pick it up when I run out of Special Effects because Splat is more readily available. And do color protect-ant shampoos really work? I wasn't sure the effect on veggie based odd colors. |

| @bri I used to have a red to blonde ombre I totally recommend it. It would be super adorable :] Unfortunately I'm unsure about the military thing, I would assume red wouldn't be too much of a problem. @Disturbance You can totally do a small patch from the side of your forehead to your ear. I never realized how dramatic my side cut was until I #'d it on Instagram. Most girls only do half of what I did. I'm not even sure if it's a side cut anymore lol. I say go for it. Even just a little patch, you would be surprised at what you can pull off :] |
| @Yusuf The good thing about odd colored hair dye is most is vegan and basically all of it is similar to vegetable/food dye. It has no chemicals in it. Like I said in my video I leave mine in for 2 hours even though the bottle reads that 15minutes is fine. The longer you can leave it in, the better. But no, don't get Manic Panic, please ;-; It's gloopy, slimy, and fades really quickly into ugly shades. |

I'm horrible at standard art such as drawing, painting, sewing; so make up and hair fill my need to do artsy things ;-; |

| @Norther I've never heard of that brand. I'll definitely check it out online. Also the only thing I can't stand are roots. I hate bleaching my roots; hair bleach is intimidating ;-; @Yusuf Online! There are tons of brands of Turquoise and you can create it with different shades of blues/greens. |
| @hawaii I've never tried Punky Colors. Try Directions or Special Effects. They are the holy grail of all hair color. People in the UK will have more luck finding it then North American people, however. I get it on Ebay/Amazon. It is awful to maintain. I've learned to just rarely wash my hair. 1-2 times a week, max. Dry Shampoo is like gold :p @Norther Ahh you're gorgeous and I love that hair :] I wish mine was long enough to do spots of color. What dye have you been using? |

| I have an issue to where I'll get to talking and I'll start speaking before I even process what I was saying. So random sounds/words will mix in with other words that are kind related to what I was talking about. My job is pretty social and people love conversating when I'm making drinks so it gets really embarrassing at times. Especially when I see their faces and I can tell they're thinking "You're a freaking weirdo" ;-; |
