Are you looking for something to add a new kick your Halloween song list? Then you should be listening to Rufus Rex and Creature Feature. Creature Feature had released their first album, The Greatest Show Unearthed, in 2007, and their second album (It Was a Dark and Stormy Night...) is coming out this October 28th! Click here to hear one of their newest songs from their upcoming album, The Unearthly Ones and check out their other music at their Youtube channel. Rufus Rex is the side project of Curtis RX from Creature Feature, and contains morbid, gruesome, grisly, and creepy imagery combined with a much more rock-based style. The Rufus Rex debut album, Dead Beat, is officially released October 11, and will be available for ordering at the Rufus Rex Website. There was a pre-order and I managed to get it and it s amazing. There are seriously no words to describe it. The songs already released were good, but the songs that weren't released are so amazingly good it is ridiculous. Here's a sampling of Rufus Rex: My personal favorite, the song of reanimation: Rize Lazarus Rise and the radio song for the end of the world: Dead Air. I'm honestly hoping to meet others who share the Creature Feature and Rufus Rex love. I'm sure someone on here does, I just need to find them. Hope any newcomers enjoy what they hear. |
| Yes, I am indeed hoping that someone out there in the grand world of Subeta recognizes Rufus Rex song titles and comes to my aid. Rufus Rex is my fanpet for the music of Rufus Rex the side project of Curtis RX from Creature Feature. He's based off of their songs, and yes I know the album is still not 'officially' released but I got my pre-order in the mail two days ago and I can't stop listening. You don't really need to be entirely familiar with the songs, as his story isn't exactly similar to them. Before this goes off on a longer tangent, let's get to the meat of the matter: Rufus Rex (the pet) is an explorer who is searching for the secret to cheating death - the technique to reanimate the dead. His explorations lead him to forsaken temples, lost cities, and to underwater caves in distant reaches of ocean. Unknowingly, in the course of his travels he unleashes an ancient evil, which follows him as he sojourns onward, growing stronger and beginning to wreak havoc in the places he goes to as it does. His dreams have taken a nightmarish turn, and he sees himself surrounded by legions of demons, tentacled titans, and beasts of legend and myth, who torture and play with him until he wakes again. (I imagine his world being slightly steampunkish, fashion being around the end of the Victorian era, and as his story progresses things get very morbid and distressing) (This is heavily based on the lyrics and design of the Rufus Rex album, Dead Beat, so I cannot take full credit for the above, just sayin'.) I got some color sketches but help me out haha. xD I hope you like what I have so far, but I've been having a bit of trouble incorporating more browns into it. I don't know, it looks very ocean-y to me.
There's a darker blue at the legs and nose and tail tip that fades to a lighter blue at the body (sort of like siamese points). I have the mane fluff a darker purple/lilac that fades to a lighter lilac as it reaches the end of the tail.

Hey there people, trying to find badgers (minions, items, plushies) for a new pet I'll be getting done over the next few days.

| I'm both yay and hrm about this. I really, really, REALLY like the idea, but like Whytekatt said, 10 of the same item? I can see it being used in cults, groups of friends, contest prizes - but what if you don't want to do that? It'd be neat to get a few different designs, but I don't know how much work that would be to code it. :3 I am really excited about this though. I can see myself saving up for this, definitely. |

Hey #pet #petaddicts friends! Long time no Ping! I've been working on the stories to go on the profiles, and I'd like to ask your advice. :3
SlyDURRin\'s story is 'done', I can (and probably will) tweak it but it's got the jist I want going on. (It's got some animagus stuff going on there) I"d appreciate your feedback on it, whether you think it flows right and whether it keeps you interested enough to read all the way through it.
GryffinDURR\'s on the other hand is only halfway so. I like putting a short blurb at the top, but I want to put a longer story-thing to give an idea of his personality and such. I had planned on doing an Animagus thing, like with SlyDURRin, but now that I think about it, it could be a bit redundant. So, I'm thinking of doing something else where he interacts with SlyDURRin? Maybe? A funny story to go with his cheery optimistic personality. What do you guys think?
I also messed around with Gryff's info box a bit, how do you like that? Can you read the words or is the pattern a bit too distracting?
