Great! I can put an overlay on his profile that I never visit, while having to look at revamped art that IS NOT my pet when I go to train, play games, check his status, battle....

An overlay is totally a solution. Thanks.

I'll cry if the DM Kumos gets revamped. I've loved it faithfully since it was released, and I fought like you wouldn't believe to get Keitha back when my account was hijacked. ;; I love her just the way she is.

I agree the neck looks a bit funny, but I still want the curved neck (as long as it doesn't look broken)... it gives the Kumos a haughty feel. I think the stance should be kept relatively similar, but an update on the overall graphics and coloring, just to get it more up-to-date.

I totally agree with the people about the ''broken neck'', it IS broken.
Agree with Phantom, it's horrible outdated, it doesn't like a Kumos anymore. I can only laugh at ''crying people''.

The pose should be changed very SLIGHTLY, kept skinny and everything, just update it so it's anatomically decent and make the shading look better. Like, fix the broken neck, but keep it cool looking!

So everyone will be happy. xD

I vote for no change,there seems to be no big deal with it.So what if the neck is iffy?I love my Jordyne as the DM kumos look he has now.The brooding pose and sinister stare is goregous and fits the man I based him off of.;P

I changed him to the DM kumos for a reason on the account of how lovely the looked.I say no change and if there is a revamp it should just be slight like more fur details,etc...

Just my opinion though,I love the art now myself.

Oh crap, I wish I had never seen this thread! Now that the neck thing has been mentioned, I can't NOT see it. For some reason, in my mind, it was as @ has shown it. (which of course, I now prefer *blush*)

Therefore I amend my original statement.... I love it as is... with the exception of the neck, LOL

I think DM Kumos is gorgeous as it is. All it really needs is some touching up. Make it a tad more furry/shaded and add a bit more fluff to the neck so it doesn't look disconnected. XD

Cripes mates, I didn't notice the neck till you guys brought it up.
In my opinion, the dark matter kumos is just beautiful for being graceful and leggy.
I don't like regular kumoses much. |D

mmm I'm just hoping for a revamp similar to the reborn kumos
not just for dark matter, but for all the colours
we need some more leggy pets here

The current version of the darkmatter kumos, to me, seems far to feminine.
The stance, thin legs, ect.

I own a male kumos, and as much as I love the current darkmatter kumos idea,
I think it should definitely be revamped.
Along with that,
as Saga said;
it looks nothing like the rest of the Kumos species.

I adore the DM Kumos. As soon as I have more pet slots I plan on getting one.

That said I also love 's work on the reborn kumos. I have one :] And I trust her to do an amazing job if the DM kumos does go in for a revamp because it does need one but I think it only needs minor touches i.e. the neck, shading, etc. The pose and all around sleekness of the DM Kumos is amazing. It has such an attitude about it

Probably because of it's eyes. @ keep those!

I would love an updated version of this pose. Newer coloring and some anatomy fixes, but overall, I love the look/pose of this version and wouldn't want to lose that.

I like the slimness of it as opposed to the stockier feel of the other Kumos, but it definitely needs an update. -shrug-

I don't have one and probably never will, so I guess I don't care that much on a personal level. I imagine some users (of course) will hate any change Arbor gives it and feel that it no longer fits their pet/character.
Honestly, my advice to them is to save the current DM Kumos so they can make themselves an overlay if they're that bothered by it.

i'm a little worried about it, tbh.

it's not that i don't think it needs revamped.. i do. and i think all the dm revamps this season have been lovely so far.

but the current one fits my pet, fenris, really well because he's supposed to be an impressive looking god-doggy. xD i think the perspective helps it to look really tall, and i like that. so i hope at least the position stays.
i don't want to keep the current one as an overlay though, because it really DOES need updated.

I think the pose should be kept, but the shading style doesn't quite look up to date with the rest of the current art. And quite frankly, to me it looks like pillow shading. So I think that whoever the artist is should keep the pose but shade it much better- a kind of update/revamp I'm sure others will appreciate, but not have too much of a problem with. Hopefully. C:

I really love my Darkmatter Kumos the way it is... I can see how people say there's room for improvement, but as a fan of its current look I'm a little concerned. ^^;; But as long as the artist tries to keep close to the original it should be fine.
Just don't do something like you did with the Graveyard Kanis. =(

I would love to see a revamp. I'm not so much a fan of the one right now.

His neck has always bugged me.

I never liked the position he was in either. It just seems so plain, especially now compared to some of the awesome revamps

The thing that bothers me the most, as a person who doesn't draw animals, is that its paws are uneven on whatever it's standing on. I guess it could be a slant but I really suggest not doing that on petsite because it's disorienting. I think it could be editted and reshaded without completely redoing it; I know art staff here is really talented and could please the public with a medium.

The DM Kumos, though outdated, has always been one of my favorite pets. :C The only reason I replaced mine with another DM was because the pose/expression fit my character better.

I love how he looks tall, I love his neck, and I love just how plain he is. Not to mention I adore his blank, looking-into-the-distance expression.

IMO, the only thing it needs is better shading.

They are not going to give you the option of having the version of your choice. If it gets an update, and I hope it does, then all the users who own or will own one will have the updated version. If you want to keep the old version then you should save it and use it as an overlay. I think the idea of having to versions of the exact same pet is really stupid. Think of the hassles.

I love my dark matter kumos but I wouldn't mind if he had eyes and a straighter neck
I love his calm stand up pose. I would hate it if he was cute. *shudders at the thought*

I believe the DM Kumos should be revamped. Yes its gorgeous as it is right now but it really isnt following the whole 'dark' aspect. Its too eligant for dark matter in my oppinion. I'd gladly love to see a new one sometime in the future

I love the pose, elegance of how tall it looks, and expression of the Darkmatter Kumos now, but I do think the coloring could be updated and maybe just a few tweaks here and there like the neck.

Although the Kumos is very cute, it could use a few fixer-uppers. For example, the way the neck is, I find it rather strange and the legs are a bittt to long compared to the size of the waist making it a little bit fox-like. But still,,,,, I love it!!

I stay up all night thinking of you, planning what to say but it never works and I just chicken out, without gettin any closer....ily

Well I just love the darkmatter Kumos and I think you really dont need to alter or revamp the kumos kumos is one of the most popular inf not the most popular pet on the site and if you change it now it would not symbol originality!
