Hi, quick question. I just submitted my giveaway entry, and my ad/popup blocker blocked a Facebook prompt popup. Was this something that was supposed to be there, or an actual bad ad thing? (I'd hate to think that was a sign that I won or something ridiculously unlikely like that...)

@Proclaimer_Rye Probably something from another site you were on, or you have spyware. Subeta doesn't have any adds, let alone pop-ups, and the winners won't be announced till the 30th.

@Amphigorey Yeah, I've never went to Facebook, or any site like that, and I run frequent virus/et cet scans, so I don't think it's a problem on my end.

@GLEE Really? I didn't know that. I'm not sure how I feel about stuff from Facebook automatically being downloaded... Hopefully my system will stop any further intrusions.

Ah, gotcha. Thanks! (I'm a little paranoid about stuff like that. It's only worse when it's one of those social networking sites, ugh.)

I got the same popup notice. Do you suppose this is going to become something of a normal ordeal now? I'd rather it not, seeing as I don't even have a want or use for facebook in any way, shape, or form.

@catkrayzee I went to the giveaway page and didn't get a popup, but I'm not entirely sure if it only happens after you enter the giveaway for that day. I pinged scarsdale and alx to another forum on problems and bugs, we'll see what they say I s'pose.

I can tell you what it was. It was a facebook pop-up asking if you wanted to post about entering the contest on your facebook. Personally, it kind of freaked me out, because I thought it was some sort of hacking/spyware ad. Wouldn't they post about something like this on the news? I wish they would. It's annoying, and no thanks, I don't want to post about it on facebook!

I think it only pops up when you enter the contest for the day.

Ah. Well I hope that's something we can get rid of. I'm a strict anti-Facebook sort, and having random popups on supposedly secure sites isn't doing anything to improve my opinion of Facebook...
