So, I recently got a DSi for Christmas, and wonderful as that was, I don't really have many games for it. I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good ones for me to try? Thus far, I have:

Pokemon Diamond (yeah, I'm cool)
The World Ends With You

A couple of my friends recommended the last one, and another one they've suggested which I think is quite popular is 'Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney', so I'll probably try and get that when I can. Other than that though, I have no idea. xD

So. Tell me about your favourite games. c:

@Kayarli
The games I've got (and love) for my DS are:
The World Ends with You ('fight' game)
Rhythm Heaven (rhythm game)
Professor Layton and the Curious Village (puzzle game)
Professor Layton and the Diabolical box (puzzle game)

I think those are the most popular games I know of, and they are really great.. Have a look at them when you've got time.

Hah, I was going to reccommend The World Ends With You. Great game, probably my favorite for the DS. :]

Other than that, I suggest Animal Crossing: Wild World, Hotel Dusk: Room 215, and Professor Layton and the Curious Villiage.

- Animal Crossing is a neat little game that doesn't really have a plot or anything. You just run around and do whatever you feel like. Fish, garden, chat up the animal neighbors, pay off your house. There's holidays and junk, too. It's in real time.
- Hotel Dusk is like a good mystery novel, but only in game form. It's sort of a point and click game and has really neat pencil-drawn looking graphics. It's full of puzzles as well. I love the plot and it's twists.
- Professor Layton is a little cartoony mystery game that chock full of puzzles. (Almost to the point of annoyingness, really...) But it's good fun, and the puzzles get to be pretty challenging. There's other games in the Prof Layton series, but I've only played the Curious Village.

I've heard good things about the Ace Attorney series, but have never played it myself.

(I'm really sorry if you get pinged multiple times. I have a bad habit of editing a lot. xD)

@Wuppie - Thanks for the list! I have no sense of rhythm whatsoever (seriously, my music teachers used to despair of me), so I might pass on the rhythm game, but I'll look out for the Professor Layton ones. c:

@Jennyjayne - Ooh, I like point-and-click games. =] I'll check it out, thanks! I've heard of 'Animal Crossing' but I wasn't sure it if was aimed at younger players or something (...I say that like that would stop me >_> ). Sounds interesting at least!

ETA: Replied before you edited. xD Thanks again. I'm also terrible for editting posts several times, haha.

Other than the ones already mentioned;
Etrian Odyessy is pretty good. A dungeon crawling RPG with an old-skool feel to it.
Final Fantasy Fables - Chocobo Tales. I know it's a spinoff but it's still heaps of fun. It's like a collection of minigames and card duels. Super cute.
I know this had been mentioned but I think it's great enough to deserve another. Phoenix Wright.

In other news. My DS decided to die today. I'm so frustrated I feel like snapping it. But I won't. ;w;

BINGO!

Elite Beat Agents. This game hasn't left my DS for a few years, truth be told. If you like rhythm games, definitely pick this one up. Even if you don't, still pick it up. xD

Other than that... The Professor Layton games, the Ace Attorney games, Trauma Center, Scribblenauts and Henry Hatsworth. And if you're a fan of card and board games, look into getting 42 All-Time Classics. I had a blast with that.

Oh, and Mario games. You can never go wrong with Mario games.

Ready to start fightin' for real?

@DreamAvenue

Haven't heard of 'Etrian Odyssey', but I like RPGs, so I'll check it out. Thanks! Sorry to hear about your DS. :c Sucks so much when games or consoles stop working.

@Mentz

Haven't heard of most of those, but I'll check them out. Thanks! c:

Most people seem to be recommending the Phoenix Wright games, so I guess that's first on the to-buy list. xD Probably the first of many. Just when I was feeling good about not blowing all my student loan on computer games. >_>
