This is STALKer territory.

A little background about myself: I like to write. I was involved in journalism for six years, four of those years as an editor of the news section. For privacy reasons, I won't be linking you to the newspaper's website.

Please fill out this form when making a request:
Character(s): If they're OCs or fan characters, please specify. Describe them a bit - characters, looks, personality quirks - or link me to some place that has that information. You also need to specify if they're human, animals, or anthro, or else I'll just write them as whichever one I like best for your particular story.
Format: Poetry? Journal style? Newspaper style? Or a general creative story?
Word Count: Around how many words or pages are you looking for?
Tone/Genre: Are you looking for a romance, comedy, dark, adventure, fantasy, sci-fi, action, slice of life, what? This is not the same as format!
Other Information: Do you want it done by a certain date? Unless you specify that you need it sooner, you can expect to wait at least two to four weeks. How much freedom do I have to play with the details? Anything else you think I should know.
Price: My stories cost two million for approximately 500 to 750 words. The price increases if you're wanting something longer than that (1,000+ words), and is also higher if your story is based on a fandom that requires me to do something (e.g. watch a movie, read a book) to familiarize myself with that fandom. The price can be lowered if you're wanting a particularly short story. I accept pure sP, CSC, and random trinkets off my WL.

Editing commissions:
I am willing to offer editing services on any work you've written. I charge a rate of 1,000 sP per word, with a minimum of 500K for my time. Please just ping me and link me to the work you want me to look at. Editing commissions are implicitly always open, as they don't take me as long as writing commissions.

Other things:
1. Please keep all requests within the TOS for Subeta.

2. Please respect my work and limit any future editing of my pieces to coding and formatting only. You wouldn't request an art piece and then modify it, so please don't modify my writing. Along those lines, do not use any of my work you did not commission yourself or get my express permission to use, and please credit me for any and all displays of my work.

Writing Requests:

Finished Pieces: 96

You can also subscribe to my journal if you want to get a notice when I add more examples of written works. And/or you can join my ping group if you want to get pinged when I open up slots or a new board.

Thanks everyone!

Username: Marvel
Character: My pet, Caelius. His occupation is a Shinigami. He has disassociated himself from the world and has become very bored. He gets enjoyment out of watching the cruelty of people unfold. i.e. deceptions, war, hardships. He, himself, can create a convincing guise which leads people to believe he's on their side.
Format: A general creative story, told first person in his view.
Word count: Length doesn't matter to me, just as long as the beginning, middle, and end are satisfying to the reader.
Genre: Suspense/dark.
Other information: I'm in no rush, take all the time you want. You can alter any details as you see fit. All I ask is that Caelius comes off as cold and calculating.
Price: I'm sure I have a few things on your WL I could throw your way, unless you'd prefer pure. Which we can work out depending on the length.

@Marvel
Oh, interesting! Definitely something I can work with. I'd give you a time range, but at the moment, it's going to be "approximately when the inspiration hits and I can put that inspiration into sentences on paper." So probably within a week or two.

Just a quick question: for his Shinigami occupation, are you thinking of something in line with the Shinigami portrayal in Bleach or Kurocrapsuji, or are you just thinking of a general death god?

Whenever it's ready is fine ^^
And just a general death god ^^;
Besides, the Shinigami in Bleach are too humorous and the butler in Kurocrapsuji is a demon /anime nerd
If anything, it'd be closer to that in Death Note, but I don't want it to resemble it too much x)

Character(s): Nephili
I don't really have something in mind for her. But I can tell you that she lives alone in the forest and has an awesome knowledge about things of the nature, medicinal plants and such. So I'd like something related to nature.
Nephili's really cold and mysterious and doesn't interact much with people.
(She is inspired from the anime Mushishi, maybe a story Mushishi alike? if you haven't watch or heard about Mushishi don't worry, just write what you like)
Format: general creative story
Word Count: It really doesn't matter me, just use the length you need/want.
Genre: Fantasy
Other Information: You can take all the time you want for this and add all the artistic freedom you want.
Price: 1m +?? I have no idea wich is the price of writting, so tell me if it's too low, I can offer more

Since I don't provide you with lots of information, I'd totally understand if you refuse my order
thanks for considering!

I'll make any mentions about his appearance be general enough that they can work with any color changes. Thank you for the heads-up!

@fresh
I'm glad to do it. Just two additional things:
1. I just saw the bit about the anime Mushishi. I have never heard of it before, but I can do some research on it if having a similar style to that is important to you.
2. In my pet stories, I like connecting my pets' minions into the story. Would you like me to do that with Nephili, or should I ignore her Glacier Blob Kitty minion?

You can do the research if you are like doing so. But it isn't nessesary if you don't want.
It'd be really cool to connect the minion with the story. But she won't have a blob kitty.. Her minion will be a butterfly like this.. I still need to change it

@fresh
*adds to notes* Thank you! I think I should be good for writing her story now.

Edit:

@Seven
Finished your poem. It should be seven verses with seven lines and seven words in each line. I hope it's satisfactory!

Quote:
Broken glass cascades among the rocky walls,
Blue and green bubbling to create waterfalls.
Splitting off into streams, each seeking light.
Splashing stones cause water to take flight.
In the air, mist rises - hot, heavy -
Humidity suffocates each being in the vicinity,
Water droplets eating at those unfortunate souls.

Wind blowing through trees sets water down,
To be absorbed by the caramel brown,
Of the woods. Dark bark inhales, exhales,
Reading weather, seeking out rain, gales, hails.
And thus, it obeys, the sky opening wide,
As small icicles fall down and collide.
Under nature's pressure, earth forgets its controls.

But the sun beams brightly, melting away,
Evidence of the cloud's attempt to decay.
Now, like spotlights, the sun feeds flowers,
Each delicate petal reaching toward bright powers.
Violet, red, orange, yellow, multi-colored things,
Dazzling displays of boldness this spring brings.
Through woods, down hills, the color rolls.

Over gentle slopes, grass's smell is inspired -
By the now-sleepy day it admired -
To dance among pollen, a song calling
Butterflies, bees, all creatures to come crawling.
"Come, play!" It would say if viable.
"Dream, say!" They would respond, so reliable.
Until, exhausted, they fell down grass's holes.

Tangled in roots, dirt feeds, nurtures, chokes.
Traveling from plant to plant, it coax
Life to rise and fall from itself,
Securing trees to moss in its shelf.
Never failing to circulate properly, it seems,
Enduring everything for others, all nature's extremes.
Each day, in soil, more life enrolls.

Sharp tools force earth up and away,
Moving all things without their express OK.
Fear sets in for those still clinging,
To wherever these unknown things are bringing,
The valley's life to rest and reside.
Once beautiful things now wilted by pride.
And so, their interference takes its tolls.

A particularly strong gust bring many smells,
Memorable things that cast such mesmerizing spells.
Awaken! And they do, plants, animals, everyone,
Coming out to joyfully greet the sun,
A friend thought gone. But they see
That life goes on, days singing merrily,
A circle of life that constantly patrols.

Glad you like, Seven.

@Marvel
I finished your story. Please let me know if you'd like me to edit or change anything in it, or if I failed to capture what you were seeking.

Quote:
Peering out a window that needed to be cleaned ages ago, I see the humans flitting about in the daylight. High heels clack sharply on brick roads as women rush off to the marketplace. Loud calls ring out in the air as men advertise their goods and people greet each other.

Though I had left my home many years ago and settled here, I had expected to find something more fascinating. Instead, there are just normal humans doing normal things on normal days in normal ways. How dreadfully boring. If I could die from ennui, I would suffer a slow, painful death on a daily basis.

A flash of brown flutters in the bright day, and I rub on the window to try to get a clearer view. Across the way, I spot the being: a relatively short, slender human - probably a child of 16 or 17 - with wide blue eyes and a frantic look on his face. He hides beneath an overly large brown cloak as he scans the streets for something. After a few more moments, he disappears down the alley between the Lakeview Resort and the Music Shop.

I feel a smirk light up on my face, unbidden, and know that I have found something interesting to play with.

Pulling away from the window, I jerk a dirty, blue rag across it to hide the light and seek out my special tool. It has been buried underneath stacks of papers and books for some time, and I dig it out. Sitting down on my bed, I cradle it in my lap. While it is dull now, with a bit of sharpening, its edge will return - a gleam of sharpness so bright one can see the death radiating from it even in the darkest night.

That evening, through shapes and shadows, I move purposefully through the streets. I am wearing my full-length cloak with the hood drawn up to shield my face. I need no light to guide me, as my eyes can see with ease. And regardless, I can feel him through the night and move toward his location.

When I spot him crouched down behind Sarah's house, a grin breaks across my face. He is a perfect specimen. Sarah is a kind human who often donates generously to needy individuals, or so I had gleaned from passing conversations in my time here. If he was lurking about her house, he surely must know at least as much as I did.

I move silently toward him, padded feet moving gracefully across the cobbled road. I mold into his shadow and simply wait for him to notice, not saying anything. A cold breeze twirls through the night and a shiver went down his spine. He begins to twitch and fidget, as if he was experiencing a bout of paranoia. Well, I suppose you aren't really paranoid if someone is actually out to get you.

And then, he notices. He turns around and jumps back as far as he can, his back bumping roughly into the house's wall. His wide eyes and pale face turn up toward me. I say nothing.

He moves to stand, but hesitates, remaining partially crouched against the wall. His eyes remain firmly on me, as if he was waiting for me to say or do something. I must be disappointing him.

After a moment, his eyes leave my face and he licks his lips. "They made me come here."

I give no indication of interest. No attempt to move toward him or away. I don't open my mouth or blink my eyes. I simply remain standing with a cold gaze fixed on his face. Another breeze drifts through the alley, as if to fit the mood of the situation.

"You don't understand!" the child exclaims. He is clearly upset, and seems almost frightened of me. He should be.

"I have to. You don't know the sort of things they'll do." His blue eyes well up, and he blinks rapidly to eradicate the incoming tears. I rooster my head to the side, just the slightest, as if to say, "Oh?"

Encouraged, he continues. "There was so much blood when they came. I, I didn't want her to see it too. So they asked for another sacrifice, and..." He turns his gaze back toward Sarah's house.

"Why does the sacrifice have to be her?" I ask finally, my voice a mere whisper that could be swept in the wind and lost to the world.

"Well, they said it has to be someone people care about. And then, they'd leave me alone." He nods solidly, as if he believes in their flimsy promise.

"Why not sacrifice one of them?"

He pauses, a look of confusion clouding his face. I make no further attempt to explain. There is no need to. His brain cells seem to connect as he begins to realize the significance. "They didn't specify which sort of people had to care about the sacrifice," he says, his voice light in awe of the brilliance of the suggestion. "And then, they might not come around again, because they'll see that they can fall too. That I can take them down."

He seems to ponder the suggestion further, and is pleased with whatever he has decided on. He nods firmly, and turns his bright, childish eyes up toward me, no longer fearful. "Will you come with me?"

I don't reply, but when he pushes away from Sarah's house and hurries down the street, I follow. He is noisy; the sound of his feet echo loudly around the sleeping city, and his breath exhales out in loud, excited pants. He is enjoying the prospect of what he is about to do.

As we approach the gardens, I spot them in the back, though the child hasn't yet. I seamlessly meld my body back into his shadow as he slowly approaches the back of the gardens. His nerves seem to be getting the best of him, but I could see from the muscle tension in his arms that he was aching to see how it'd feel to complete this.

One of them wanders away from the group, likely to go steal a tomato off of the plants for a late-night snack. His red hair bobs clearly through the fields, the moon hitting him just so. When he gets far enough from the group, the child springs toward the man, hitting him roughly in the chest and tackling him to the ground. I smell alcohol on the man's breath, as he struggles to realize what's happening. Small hands soothe his voice into silence.

When the man is finally still, the boy climbs off his chest, panting with exertion. He then crawls toward the rest of the group, his eyes wild with excitement. As we near them, I disassociate myself from him. I pull off into the shadows of a nearby willow tree, its branches dancing gaily in the wind.

I close my eyes briefly, so I can fully appreciate the delicious sensations of the evening. The smell of epinephrine, the feel of blood pumping rapidly in live bodies, the screams breaking the silence.

I pull my scythe from the back of my cloak and approach the group. I had spent most of the day sharpening it, and the men and child realized what it is. What I am. As the child looks up at me, his eyes are again wide. The adrenaline is leaving his body, and the last sensation he experiences is terror.

@fresh
I finished your story! After reading a bit about Mushishi, I was really inspired, though I didn't try to make the story seem like it could be straight out of the anime. I modeled Nephili off of the Mushi, though I viewed her as being more prone to help ease pain rather than cause it, given her interest in medicinal herbs. I pictured her as kindly and gentle in general, though annoyed with humans.

All of the herbs mentioned in the story should be medicinal herbs and they read like they should grow in the environments mentioned in the story. However, as I am not a herbalist, I may be wrong.

The infection described in the story is modeled off of
Grotesquely Long Tongue
and Nui was inspired by
Pavonated Butterfly
.

If this isn't the depiction you were hoping for, or if there's anything else you'd like me to change, please let me know!

Quote:
Padding softly through the snow, my Nui and I ventured out into the day. The storm had long since passed, and in its wake, left a graceful wonderland.

Nui flapped her wings rapidly, and I saw what had excited the small butterfly. Miraculously, a small batch of wild carrots had survived the late spring storm. I pulled the plants up; known for their cleansing properties, wild carrots will be quite useful to me.

Nui and I scoured the hillside for other herbs until lunchtime, when we headed back home.

I had always been a recluse, as the humans of the valley are incapable of perceiving my existence. At one point, the loneliness had been terribly unsettling, but I had grown to enjoy being disassociated from them. I loved the life that existed in this place and interacting with the spirits of nature on a daily basis. Unfortunately, the humans can't seem to perceive life's existence to the same degree that I can. Though not bad beings, they are careless, and I do not appreciate their disrespect toward nature.

Nui pressed a light kiss to my cheek and I smiled for her. She was a sweet companion, who always inspired me to be kind and gentle.

We climbed to the top of the hill and dove into the dark forest, looking for more herbs as we walked. After a twenty-minute stroll, we reached a Giant Sequoia that stood about 100 feet in height. Though it looks solid, a quick pull on a knot in the bark revealed the door that opens into our home.

Inside, I set down a straw basket where I had collected our find. I went to set water to heat for tea, while Nui began sorting the herbs. Wild carrot, wood betony, yarrow, passionflower, perilla, pokeweed, and red clover. It had been a good hunt.

I pulled the water off the fire, and began to pour hot water into a glass when Nui dove toward me. I dropped the kettle - luckily missing my feet - and huddled her in my hand. I nuzzled her blue wings with my nose, intending to comfort. She calmed down, and I felt for the essence of the creature that had inspired such fear.

A human? Pausing a moment, I double-checked, and certainly, the ebb and flow of life in the air certainly belonged to a homo sapien.

I slipped out of our home and back into the woods, Nui close behind me. We went to investigate the distress that was plain in the air.

A quick walk to the east led us to the origin. A young woman cowered on the ground, howling out in pain. I approached cautiously. Though she probably couldn't sense me, there was no need to risk my well-being.

As I stepped over her bare legs, which were likely growing cold in the snow, I saw that her tongue was unnaturally long. She opened her eyes at that moment and snarled, "YOU!"

I leapt away from her. I hadn't expected her to notice me, but as she sat up, I realized why she did. The right side of her face was covered with ghastly green bumps and her tongue hung down out of her mouth. It was certainly the unfortunate interfering of others of my kind. They really should learn to stay away from humans.

The woman was crying and attempting to glare at me at the same time; it was quite odd actually. "You!" she snarled again. "Come to hasten my death?"

I narrowed my eyes and a harsh, cold wind ran through the area. "Calm yourself," I ordered in a level voice. She shivered and seemed to calm down a bit, hesitating to threaten me further.

I paused for a moment to give her a chance to speak, but she didn't. "Come," I directed. I swiftly turned around and left, not waiting to see if she would follow. I didn't need to anyway. Her stumbling about in the snow on numb legs was more than enough of an alert.

We headed back toward the Giant Sequoia and entered quietly. She stumbled in after Nui and myself, and collapsed on numb legs on the floor, the warmth inside the tree overwhelming.

Nui silently flew through the air and landed on the freshly picked red clover. I nodded at her briefly to share my approval for her choice. She gathered the red clover and brought it over to the table while I cleaned up the kettle I dropped earlier and set more water to heat. I took the flowers Nui gathered and cut off three poultices, which should be enough. Meanwhile, Nui picked the petals off three more red clovers.

The kettle whistled sharply in the air, signaling that it was hot enough. As I went to go get it, I saw that the human had moved closer to the fire. "Out of the way," I told her coldly and she sidled to the left a bit. I grabbed the kettle, and at the table, gathered the red clover petals into a mug. Pouring the water over it, it made a powerful healing tea.

I poured the rest of the water into a separate bowl. Without turning around, I knew the woman had sat down at the table and was watching me intently. "Drink," I said, as I thrust the mug into her hands. As she warily did so, I dipped a cloth into the remaining hot water, mashed the poultices into it, and handed it back to her. "Drape this on your infection."

She obeyed much more readily this time, and I knew that she had already felt the effects of the tea. When she opened her mouth to speak, I saw that her tongue was almost back to normal now. "What are you?" she asked quietly. I didn't answer.

The young woman finished her tea with her hand holding the cloth firmly to her face. When she finished, she handed her cup toward me. "Can you read leaves?" I offered her a bored glare and didn't reply. Once she realized that I had no intention of indulging her odd, human habits, she set the tea and cloth back down on the table. She touched a hand lightly to her face, and when she felt smooth skin, she squealed in delight.

"How did you do that?" she exclaimed and leapt toward me, as if to embrace me. I quickly stood up, extended to my fullest height, and offered her my sternest gaze. She faltered and paused, inches away from pressing her fingers to my flesh. "Goodbye," I stated.

Though I made no move to show her the door, she backed out slowly, a look of confusion plastered on her face. I could practically hear her thoughts. "Should I be frightened or thankful?" I sat back down on a stool and kept my eyes firmly on the rows of drying medicinal herbs in front of me, not giving her any indication that I noticed her conflicted emotions. She made a small noise in the back of her throat, as if to speak, but seemed to think better of it. Quietly, she slipped out the door and away.

Exhaling softly, I looked up at Nui, and knew that we shared the same thought at that moment. Humans, eh?

Hi! This is just what I need as I lack in the creative department and my poor pets need some stories, lol! I will start with just one though to not overwhelm you.

Username: _Jammin_
Character(s): Indigo(my pet) Her basic story line is in her profile http://www.subeta.net/petinfo.php?petid=602870
Format: General creative story
Word Count: Short story, maybe around 100-300 words
Genre: Just a basic backstory
Other Information: No certain date. You are free to play around with it as much as you like as long as you incorporate the whole princess thing as it needs to tie into her profile/overlay.
Price: This is what I am not sure about. I have never seen anything like this so is 1 million sp enough?
Billboard: Yes I came here from billboard.

Haha, feel free to make as many commissions at you want to at once.

She sounds really interesting, so I know I can definitely work with her. Your suggested price is just fine. I'll have it done for you in a week or two. (Probably less time, but I'd rather surprise you by being early than disappoint you by being late. )

Thank you!

Same as with the other commission: they might take up to two weeks, but probably less than that. Thanks again!

Username: Man
Character(s): Dillamon, he's a fandom pet from the Gregory Maguire novel Wicked/musical Wicked.
I would like if he reflected his 'character' from the book. I believe thatthis has a good description of him.
Format: A general creative story, probably.
Word Count: Does not matter, so long as it satisfies his general character.
Genre: I am looking for a 'dark' work..
Other Information: You have as much freedom as you may need, I only request that your written story takes place the night that Grommetik murders him (if you could keep the actual murder a short off screen snippet that would also be nice, it would add the the 'mystery' of how he really met his end).
Price: 2mil+ , because I know that what I've given you is probably difficult to work with, I have yet to find someone able to string together a story. I'm tempted to give it a shot on my own, but I know my work is more or less crap.
Billboard: I found this board because of your billboard.

He sounds really interesting! I'd like to give him a shot. I'm going to give myself an extended deadline, though, just because I'd rather do a bit of research on Wicked before writing. So I'll probably have it done within three to four weeks (hopefully sooner!).

Thank you.

Wow, thank you for the compliment! I've asked my librarian mom to pick up the novel for me tomorrow, so I should be able to start researching it soon. Plus, really, it's something I've been meaning to read anyway.

@_Jammin_
I finished Indigo's story. It's a bit longer than you asked for (coming in at 306 words), but I hope that's okay. If you want it longer/shorter or have any changes in general you'd like me to make, please let me know!

Quote:
Adjusting the tiara on her head, Indigo looked fondly over her stable full of Hikeis. As she ran her soft fingers through a pretty cream Hikei's blue mane, she turned to the stable master.

"Sir?" she called in a soft voice.

The man instantly perked up from his position on a stool in the corner. "Yes, Princess Indigo?" The stout man bowed awkwardly, in an attempt to avoid meeting the beautiful woman's heterochromic eyes. Princess Indigo was a kind and fair ruler, but she always inspired respect and admiration. She was truly the epitome of sublimity.

"I would like to ride him today, please." Princess Indigo gestured to the cream Hikei. "Would you outfit him now, good sir?"

The man deepened his bow and quickly set to his task. Within minutes, the cream Hikei - whose name was Fredrick, the princess learned - was saddled and ready for a ride. Indigo and Fredrick set off into the forest, admiring the beauty of the day together.

After a short distance was covered, Indigo spotted a group of butterflies dancing around flowers. Smiling at the beautiful sight, she dismounted the Hikei and went to twirl with the creatures. When a bright blue one landed on her nose and tickled her face, she let out a gay laugh, scaring away the insect. She ran up to the patiently waiting Hikei and nuzzled her face into his snout.

"Oh, Fredrick! Fate has been so kind to give me such a wonderful life!" she told him, her charming voice inspiring the Hikei to let out a happy sound of his own.

From the doorway, Indigo's parents smiled at each other as they watched their young daughter giggling to herself while playing with a My Little Cream Hikei.

"Darling Indigo," her mother said, "dreaming of a life of grandeur again, no doubt!"

Oh my goodness, I absolutely adore it!! At first I was like uh-oh she is not supposed to be a real princess but you threw for a loop at the end. I can not imagine being so creative. Thanks so much and the length is fine. I really had no idea what to put down so if you need more than that on the other 2 pets then you can do more, it is really up to you. Please let me know when you get a trade up for me to pay you hon

Username: Soprano
Character(s): My pet Orchestration. He's spent his whole life working hard and has finally made his debut as concert master - his over lay will be of him with his arms out holding his violin and bow and the audience below clapping.
Format: Just like a normal story, I guess! haha sorry if that was not at all helpful, not a news story or anything!
Word Count: Hmm... Nothing too long at all, I want it to be something that people can read without getting too bored, I don't know how long that would or would not be. :3 I think Kareima's length is good.
Genre: Hmm... Not a comedy or anything super dramatic, just something that's really nice and is talking about how his hard work has finally paid off - probably talk about like the concert itself kinda like he walked onto the brightly lit stage blahblahblah
Other Information: Artistic freedom is yours.
Price:
Argo Blackout Bodysuit
+ 500k ???
Billboard: Yess!

@_Jammin_
I finished LilDuckling's story. It's 608 words, and I hope you don't mind me including his pet friends in the story. Please let me know if you'd like me to change anything!

Quote:
LilDuckling McQuack carried his prized red fire truck to the playground, where he was meeting up with his friends, the Pherret Eurithius and the Celinox Theo Elias.

As a toddler, his tastes were simple. Worms for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Playing games all day with friends. LilDuckling was up for anything that would allow his energy to run low until he could sleep easily at night. Today was no exception.

Theo Elias was the first to see LilDuckling approach, and he raised a paw in greeting. Eurithius followed suit with a cheerful smile.

As LilDuckling sat down in the sand with them, Theo crawled close and peered at the fire truck. "Looks like a new toy!" he said excitedly. Before he could lay a paw on it, though, LilDuckling snatched it away and clutched it close to his chest. "Yes, it's new," he confirmed. "But it's mine."

Eurithius giggled, and looked at Theo. "Told ya, Theo. LilDuckling never shares." Theo readily nodded in agreement and giggled too.

Indignant, LilDuckling rushed to find a legitimate reason for turning Theo down. "You can' play wit' it, 'cause you don' know how to handle it." He nodded, as if this made perfect sense.

Upset at the accusation, Theo glared at his friend and would have tackled him to get the truck had Eurithius not intervened. "I know!" he exclaimed as he laid a paw on Theo's shoulder. "Let's play monster trucks in the mud. And whoever gets to the end of the puddle first gets to play with the fire truck, and no one else can intervene."

LilDuckling and Theo couldn't find a reason to disagree with their older friend. Plus, LilDuckling loved playing with trucks in the mud, and this seemed like a good way to get dirty without getting in too much trouble later with his parents.

It was settled. LilDuckling, Theo and Eurithius lined up at the end of the mud puddle with their trucks in front of them. LilDuckling with his fire truck, Theo with a yellow towing truck, and Eurithius with a blue dump truck. The rules were simple. No pushing, shoving, kicking of mud, or otherwise interfering with each other. Everyone had to keep two paws - or in LilDuckling's case, wings - on their truck at all times and had to push it through the mud and any obstacles. Whoever reached the end first earned the right to play with LilDuckling's brand-new fire truck for the rest of the day.

Eurithius was the best at counting, so he shouted at the countdown. "One! Two! Three! Go!"

The three toddlers dove forward, thrusting their trucks through the mud. LilDuckling ignored his two friends as he focused only on getting through the fastest. His route was relatively easy with only a few branches here and there. He had to climb over a small rock about halfway through, which he found difficult to do while covered in slippery mud and trying to keep both wings on his fire truck. Though he had the minor set-back, he still made good time. Sweat and mud got in his eyes, but he squinted through until, finally, he felt grass underneath his feet.

Rubbing his dirty face on his yellow bib so he could see who won, he turned clean eyes on the mud behind him and was surprised to find himself the winner! Theo had gotten tangled in a large spider web, and Eurithius's truck's front wheels got stuck on a particularly thick glob of mud.

Laughing happily, LilDuckling McQuack pumped a wing in the air in victory. The others joined in with clapping and cheers, celebrating their friend's well-deserved win.

Sure, that'd be just fine! You'd have to wait in line for any added stories. (Behind Soprano, at least. It'll take me a while to read Wicked before I can start on Man's commission.) If that's acceptable to you, I'd love to write some more for you!
