No luck on a job yet. I will never do fast food again, and that seems to be always open for jobs. lol
Just to clarify, I really am not angry with anyone or anything with the CWs. I am simply tired of dealing with artists, their attitudes and their preferential treatment to some and not to others. I don't support this kind of behavior in real life and I won't support it online either.
In the future tho, if systems and attitudes change, I would be happy to take up the project again and see what we can get done.

Sounds like something I would say! At first I wanted to say sorry you need surgery...but then realized it must be something to make you better so it is a good thing...

@ Sorry to hear the CW system is overwhelming you and frustrating you.

Good luck finding a job. Looking for work can be very emotionally exhausting, so try not to get discouraged. May I ask what happened? Or why you're currently looking for employment? I've been gone for the past few days on a church retreat to mount shasta so I'm not quite caught up with everything or in the loop yet.

@ - I thought you were brave to venture into the wacky world of CW to arrange an item for us so hooray to you for your courage!

I know job hunting is difficult and like @ said, emotionally exhausting...I was recently on the job hunt and it was more difficult than I anticipated...I will be thinking of you and praying you find the perfect position

@, yes, they are doing surgery on one lobe of my lung to remove what appears to be a cancerous growth.. so far very small. Am VERY happy I am well enough to have the surgery before the growth gets larger. Even though a nurse.. it doesn't bother me at ALL to say "huh" because there is a LOT I don't know...... yet, I probably looked particularly funny with my mouth open totally not expecting him to say that LOL.

@, never thought you were angry.. just thought burned out which is understandable.

@ @ It was incredible. The weather was gorgeous and sweltering the entire weekend. We were staying on houseboats in groups of 15-20 people per boat which made things very crowded on the boats but very interesting. It got up to the 90's which was kinda nice because it meant that the water temperature was warmer than I remember it being last year. I believe it was around 65 degrees for the most part which was actually quite refreshing. Got tons of gorgeous photos of all the scenery around the lake, not to mention some lovely butterfly pictures. Also befriended an adorable little lizard, I believe it was an Alligator lizard. The little guy was probably only 4.5 inches long and crawled up and perched on my hand for quite some time.

@ - how fun! It sounds exactly like what a retreat/vacation should be! An alligator lizard...how interesting...did he look like a teeny tiny alligator? Now I want to go there...*grabs bucket list and adds Shasta*

By the way, what does everyone think of the changes implemented to the CW system? So far I've been enjoying it because it has enabled me to get several wigs that I had all but given up hope of ever obtaining.

@ Ah, that makes sense. Hope you're able to pay off your medical bills quickly without any hassle from the insurance company.

@Straywillow : Sweetheart! I will keep you in my prayers for a great outcome! My only advice is to fine one of the respiratory theattackers over at your local hospital and get him to put down his cigarette long enough to go get you an incentive spirometer so you can get used to doing that before surgery, so that you can do it well after surgery, you know, practice your heavy breathing now.

@Lillydivine : I'm keeping you in my prayers too my Dear! You are bound to find something. I overheard some humans talking about going to the local hospital to look for clerical work. One was going to try for a 'monitor-tech' job and the other was going to be a 'unit secretatry' and both had no prior experience and felt confident about getting the jobs they interviewed for. All I can say is, good luck and keep trying.

@crashingnightingales : I am so glad you had a good time at Shasta. I got to go on a car trip to Redding for a wedding....( The Wedding in Redding... sounds like a romantic cowboy spy thriller....)
and I got to see Mt Shasta. I also got to see this fantastic pickeled-olive store in Willows. I never knew there were so many ways to make an olive. They even had olives stuffed with onions and garlic and wieners and peanutbutter and espresso crystals and ....What? I'm trying to tell her about the olives and you are making that face at me like I am saying something completely dumb! Go on, speak!

Darling, I was trying not to laugh and it looked like a smirk...I'm sure. They don't stuff olives with wieners or peanutbutter. Remember they wouldn't let us in the store because Mr. Bill and Mrs Donna didn't have a leash for us and the snotty lady made us sit out on the window planter outside so we could peer in. Though, as I recall, you somehow managed to get a lot of olives given to you, how did you manage that?

I told every man that went in there that if he brought me out an olive I would give him a free kiss. Yup! Got a bunch of olives and all it cost me was a lip lock or two. Of course, that was before you proposed last year, so I was still kissing a lot of other persons.

I think that trip was the actual reason I proposed, you were flirting with everybody and I was seriously doubting my chances of winning your paw. You just kissed them right? No hanky panky?

No of course not silly! I did get two proposals of marriage though. There was this really cute 8 year old boy who asked me to marry him. And there was this really handsome fellow....lordy lordy lordy he made me pant!

@, I had a LOT of questions and they all dissolved in the "huh" this time but hopefully will be a little more cognizant next time the doc and I meet LOL... @, I not only have an incentive spirometer but something I call a "flutter" that you blow into along with strict instructions on mileage at the exercise bike from my son but appreciate the good advise, thanks! @, it sounds wonderful.. not quite sure where you went on vacation though, the changes in the CW didn't affect me too much but if easier to get some it may in the future.

@ The timing was wonderful. We had been talking about getting married for a while, even before we had the baby. We have a 13 year old son already. But we are just getting back together, like we have been back together for a year and a half.
But all these things lately have happened back-to0back. I had the baby, and then it was Mother's Day. He got me roses, but I thought that was all. He didn't give me the ring until a little later.

@ Personally, now that the pricing has been sorted out I think it's great to be able to obtain old items again. There were quite a few wigs that I went out and bought impulsively as a result of the change in the system. Still hoping that a couple more will make it to the CS, as there's a few CW's I've been waiting on for quite some time, but don't have full batches. I love that the artists are being so generous and offering their items up for the public.

@kristi1980 sorry you had a rough night too, thankfully she is sleeping at present. We have the midwife tomorrow for her to have her weight checked again, hoping all is well. Thank you for the drink . hubby went and bought me hair dye so I cover my grays up sort roots etc. also looks like I will be moving soon so might be away from here for alittle bit

Good luck with the move. I know how hard it is to be moving a good distance with a baby. I did it with my daughter. She was about 4 months old, and we had a good 6-8 hour drive to where we moved.
Speaking of moving, we are trying to move into a better place also. Let's just say we live in a less than desirable area, so we are trying to move to a better location. Then we will focus on getting a loan to buy property and build a house.
But I am sure that all will go well for you; At least now you will be living closer to your family.

As far as questions go, you might find it helps you remember what to ask the doctor if you keep a little spiral-bound stenographer's notebook with you at all times so that if you have a question pop into your mind you can jot it down. Keeping a journal of your signs and symptoms, your dosages and medication administration times, as well as your response to your medications is vital to your outcome, ( just like you do when you chart in your nurses notes, or fill out your MAR) because when you are face to face with a Dr. who is behind in his office visits and he blusters into the exam room and takes the wind out of your sail before you even get a chance to speak, it's nice to have your 'weapon' loaded up with your questions. Francine started a journal years ago when she started having gynecological symptoms. When the Doctor was indecisive as to the course of action, she handed him her year-long journal and he was blown away and made the correct diagnosis and treatment plan based on her careful self-documentation. She has used the journal technique effectively ever since, it is one of her most powerful medicines. Just a thought. Plus, keeping a journal empowers you, makes you pro-active and not a victim. Face it, it's your surgery, therefore it's major surgery and we all know that major surgery is not a spectator sport. ( It's only minor surgery if it's somebody elses. )

..um ahhhh geeesh trying to catch up..but by the time i get some of it its moved on along..so i have to recheck. @Straywillow i have no idea what your having done..or when but do take friedas advice or youi may be blown over as a patient!! sad to say! @Lillydivine..what you take on or choose not to is up to you best leave yourself OUT of negative situations. @Frieda..wonderful advice on the journal/questions notebook!!!! i always recommend it. i have also hit RECORD on a video device..no video just the audio was helpful to replay what the heck was said and by whoim.

@ I will have links to the photos soon. Right now I'm still trying to sort through all of my photos at the moment. Really been loving the change in the CW system especially since I've managed to snag quite a few of the CW wigs that I really wanted for awhile. So thrilled to see that some of my favorite artists added those pieces to the CS to give us another chance. It can be so frustrating when you're on the wait list for an awesome CW and it never makes it to its second batch.

I have a photo of my author, Mark somewhere ( I stole it from his daughter Steph, when she came to Glen Meadow to pick me up for the SanFrancisco Meat-up, she had it in her big motor car on the floor in a box of photos that she had taken from her parents....It's of him as a 15 year old kid on a houseboat on Lake Shasta. Now where did I put that?

@ Sounds like Mark had a good time. Shasta lake is such a gorgeous place, especially in the spring when all the wildflowers are blooming.

A little while ago I got a wonderful surprise and was given a 500 credit gift card by someone on the forums. Such a wonderful little gift! It totally brightened my evening!

Haven't decided how I'm going to use it yet. Probably will end up spending it on another gorgeous CW as there's some rather lovely pieces of artwork both on the forums and in the CS right now. Now I need to get off my computer and start getting ready for bed. Night everyone.

@ Yeah, I was certainly very surprised to see that I got it. Funny thing was, that I also stumbled upon a mage amulet around the same time as there was one in my inventory. Now to figure out how to use it.
