The purpose of this guide is to state all the challengers in the Battle Coliseum, their starting stats, the weapons that the opponent uses, curses/freezing/unique types of battle opponent they are, special loot that is challenger specific, tactics as well as other information to help you succeed in becoming more knowledgeable and a better battler yourself. The strategies used in this guide have been tested with pets varying from 10-5000+ stats. Not all of the strategies have been developed for your 10 stat pet to beat X challenger, it is simply impossible due to critical hits. When using this guide your pet should be trained adequately to defeat X challenger.

Before reading on, make sure you understand the basics of battle on Subeta. Please click the link below if you are unfamiliar with terminology and the basics of battle on Subeta.

Battle Challengers:
How to use this guide:
The set up of the guide is going to be fairly basic. There are several other guide style threads that we will refer to in this Strategy Guide that will enhance your knowledge of the Battle Coliseum.

The Setup will be:
Challenger (Who you are fighting)
Starting Stats (What stats they have to begin with)
Difficulty (How hard of a challenger they are)
Token Drop (The type of token they drop useable in the Battle Shop)
Special Loot (Challenger only loot for winning)
Challengers Weapons (Weapons the challenger uses and the icons)
Recommended Weapons (Weapons we recommend to use against the challenger)
Key Weapons to Blast/Steal (Straight forward, the weapons you should hope to eliminate from the challengers arsenal because they do either the most damage, healing, freezing, stealing or blocking)
Key Points (Challenger specifics and attributes like chain freezer, heavy attacker, high healer)
Key Modifications to Your Weapons (Recommended modification crystals to your weapons to enhance your probability for victory)
Basic Strategy (A basic strategy to defeat your challenger)
Intricate Strategy (A more advanced strategy to either help a small pet take down a strong opponent or to help a large pet take down a larger opponent)

To further inform you, please take a moment to read the following guides to get a better understanding of why certain weapons and strategies have been developed and to increase your knowledge of the weapons, scrolls, curses/blessings, and the modification crystals used.

Basic Strategy: Much like Eclipse your strategy will include blocking majority of the challengers icons to prevent damage while attacking. Intricate Strategy: As with every Easy challenger it is very basic strategy.

Malevolent Grenade

Key Weapons to Blast/Steal: None
Key Points: You cannot Heal against this challenger.
Key Modifications to Your Weapons: Dark Defense Baguette Crystal
Basic Strategy: Without being able to heal against Eclipse defense is your main focus so you can stay alive, or at least not get hit while you demolish him. With this challenger he does not attack with high icon damage so using the FoRRC/p + Shear Sword should be able to get you by without taking much damage. That being said, you can also if you have the funds either use an STS or RV with your favorite bomb and blow the challenger to Atebus and back.
Intricate Strategy: This challenger is at a difficulty where a major strategy is not necessary.

Key Weapons to Blast/Steal:
Key Points: You cannot freeze this challenger.
Key Modifications to Your Weapons: Water Baguette Crystal, Healing Baguette Crystal
Basic Strategy: Sludge Avengers Slingshot is a fairly cheap, water attacking weapon which gives a decent return for the cost. It is there if you cannot invest in a Pirate Cutlass. Modify your PC to have 3 Water Baguette Crystals. Use PC + FoRRC/p. You shouldn't need to heal but if you do need to, use a PQ or RoTL.
Intricate Strategy: This challenger is fairly straight forward that you need to hit it with only water.

Key Weapons to Blast/Steal: None.
Key Points: None.
Key Modifications to Your Weapons: None.
Basic Strategy: Use the FoRRC + FoRRP to attack/heal against this challenger. The FoRRC is able to block most of the damage and the challenger does not have high strength to deal more than you heal. Can be beaten with Grimfruit + Shear Sword too.

Recommended Weapons:

Shinwas Temple Shard
Rainbow Vortex
Truth Serum
Recycle Blaster
Deluxe Death Shard

Key Weapons to Blast/Steal: Dubious Download
Key Points: Curses and Blessings do not work against Mechalag
Key Modifications to Your Weapons: Earth Defense Baguette Crystal
Basic Strategy: Use MCAB + FoRRC/p. Mechalag is a fairly simple challenger, Dubious Download has a low chance to freeze so if you don't want to deal with that DDS + STS then RB + TS to try to get all 3 out of the way, then MCAB + FoRRC/p all the way. If you want to take Mechalag out faster you can always MCAB + FoRRP/c, using the FoRRC/p when necessary.
Intricate Strategy: Mechalag is simple enough, just has high defense and health.

Beginning Stats:

Recommended Weapons:

Blackmoon Hand Blaster
Recycle Blaster
Deluxe Death Shard
Phoenix Quill

Key Weapons to Blast/Steal: Bag of Tricks, Loaded Dice
Key Points: Defense is disabled against Nightshade and you cannot steal Nightshades weapons either.
Key Modifications to Your Weapons: Healing Baguette Crystal. Mod your MCAB, PStaff, Malice all to have Healing Baguette Crystals
Basic Strategy: First turn DDS + MCAB to freeze and heal as much as you can. Blast the Loaded Dice and Bag of Tricks if you can so Nightshade will run out of weapons. Use Malice + PStaff to get the most damage, switch to MCAB + PStaff when running low, use PQ/RoTL + PStaff if needed.
Intricate Strategy: With Defense disabled it is hard to come up with an intricate strategy besides tanking the damage through healing.

Recommended Weapons:
Daemons Poisonous Quills
Malerias Cursed Arm Bangle
Prodigy Staff
Shinwas Temple Shard
Rainbow Vortex
Truth Serum
Recycle Blaster
Phoenix Quill

Key Weapons to Blast/Steal: Frostbite
Key Points: You cannot freeze Mama Mush
Key Modifications to Your Weapons: Ice Defense Baguette Crystal, Healing Baguette Crystal. Modify DPQ, MCAB and PStaff to have maximum Ice Defense Crystals. Another option is to have maximum Heaking Baguette Crystals on MCAB and PStaff
Basic Strategy: Use MCAB + PStaff (if they are both heal modded) and pound away. Use STS + PQ when necessary. You shoud be able to tank Mama Mushs damage with heal modded MCAB + PStaff
Intricate Strategy: First round use MCAB + TS to try to steal a Frostbite, heal up second round with MCAB + PStaff, third round MCAB + RB to blast the remaining Frostbite if you weren't able to steal both initially. From there use MCAB + DPQ and only change to MCAB + PStaff if you need the extra heal because MCAB + DPQ is modded to withhold all the ice damage done by Mama Mush, provided you took out both Frostbites.

Key Weapons to Blast/Steal: None.
Key Points: You cannot Heal against Daemon.
Key Modifications to Your Weapons: Modify your MCAB with 1 Earth Defense Baguette, 1 Light Defense Baguette, 1 Wind Defense Baguette and modify your SSS to have 3 Water Defense Baguettes
Basic Strategy: With no healing on Daemon your best bet is to block as much as you can while doing damage. Your modded MCAB + SSS will give you a defensive boost, blocking majority of Daemons damage while doing a fair amount of damage. DDS + STS/RV when you need to, blast what you can, then continue pounding away at Daemon.
Intricate Strategy: If you want to be a big defensive turtle you can opt for the War Plate + SSS though it will take longer. Mod your War Plate to block more dark damage and you should be okay. Use DDS + STS, TS + RB when needed though it is not necessary.

Recommended Weapons:
Sword of the Seven Seas
Prodigy Staff
Abyss
Shinwas Temple Shard
Pirate Cutlass
Flame of Red Rreign Polearm
Flame of Red Rreign Cuirass
Rainbow Vortex
Truth Serum
Recycle Blaster
Phoenix Quill

Key Weapons to Blast/Steal: Summon Meteor
Key Points: Gathering of the Forjlings Scroll steals while blocking all icons except Water. Cannot Freeze this opponent.
Key Modifications to Your Weapons: Water Baguette Crystal, Healing Baguette Crystal
Basic Strategy: Forj Rekindled is much like Forj Dormant where it blocks everything but some Water damage. He attacks very little damage but has the chance to steal with his Scroll. A Riptide or Riptide combined legendary is easy to do the trick. Use Flame of Red Rreign Cuirass to heal when necessary.
Intricate Strategy: First round it would be hard to ignore attempting to use TS + RB + Cobalt/Sancturia Scroll. You will take damage, but you will also take 2-3 of his weapons out of the picture. That being said you can choose to A) Tank with percentage healers (Prodigy Staff, SoSS) or choose to take a slightly longer route in using the FoRRC + Pirate Cutlass combination. If you are using plan B pay attention, you will have to have the FoRRP equipped to get the full benefit of having the FoRRC heal. Mod your FoRRC to have a Magma Defense Baguette and your Pirate Cutlass to have 3 Magma Defense Baguettes. This is a preventative measure against the Forj's main attack. Lava Spit, with these mods, will not do any damage to you with these modifications. Use STS + PQ when necessary but you shoud be relatively okay with a decent stat pet.

For future reference: Challengers may change, thus strategies will change. Not all of the challengers have been included simply because they are not available to defeat all the time. When these challengers are available they will be added into the guide. If you have a strategy that works really well against a certain challenger feel free to share it with us. We will test it out and add it into the guide if necessary and you will get credit for the strategy.

Disclaimer: These strategies have been tested and used by several users and work, however these are not the only strategies to beat the opponents.

Compliments go to @THESOVEREIGN @ColdDragon @Ryan @Laurie for their extensive work and contributions to the making of this guide.

Key Weapons to Blast/Steal: Moonshine, Malerias Clawed Glove
Key Points: None
Key Modifications to Your Weapons: Thief Baguette Crystal
Basic Strategy: Your main objective is to Blast/Steal the Moonshine. The FeliBot is not very strong overall so you are able to win fairly easily with a decent trained pet.
Intricate Strategy: Use the FoRRC + FoRRP to heal and attack with. When this challenger uses all of their Feli-Bombs, use your DDS + STS to freeze the challenger while not taking any damage and blast/steal the Moonshine in the next round with TS + RB. It is important to wait until the Feli-Bombs are used to increase the chance of you stealing/basting the Moonshine. After that, it should be fairly easy to just use FoRRC + FoRRP to defeat the challenger. If your health drops low you have RV + PQ to heal with just in case.

Key Points: Jacques has a blessing that activates randomly which negates all Dark and Wind damage, while healing 15hp
Key Modifications to Your Weapons: Healing Baguette Crystal, Singed Baguette Crystal
Basic Strategy: Your main priority with Jacques is to eliminate his Practice Pistols so you only have to deal with 3 icon types. The less amount of icons you need to defend against the more successful you can be in battle. If you equip a Pirate Cutlass and modify it to have 3 Physical Defense Baguettes you will have an easy time with Jacques. Equip both the Pirate Cutlass with the mods and a Prodigy Staff (modified to have 3 Light Defense Baguette Crystals) you will only be damaged by the Wind icons that he does, which you can tank.
Intricate Strategy: FoRRC/p + Pstaff modded 3 water defense baguettes keep going until you are low on HP. Switch to FoRRC/p + PQ then FoRRC/p + Pstaff until low switch to FoRRC/p + RoTL then FoRRC/p + Pstaff If you get low on HP (which you shouldn't) you can do an emergency heal with FoRRC + FoRRP but after RoTL FoRRC/p + Pstaff for the rest of the battle should finish him

Recommended Weapons:

Oracles Staff of Enlightenment
Rainbow Vortex
Deluxe Death Shard
Blackmoon Hand Blaster
Recycle Blaster
Phoenix Quill

Key Weapons to Blast/Steal: Vicious Bite
Key Points: Challenger can Freeze you and you cannot steal from this challenger.
Key Modifications to Your Weapons: Physical Defense Baguette Crystal, Healing Baguette Crystal, Parched Baguette Crystal
Basic Strategy: Recycle Beast is a fairly straight forward opponent. He does not do a variety of icons like many other challengers though he does pack quite the punch.
Intricate Strategy: If you choose to modify or bring the FTS to battle to get the Parched Blessing it would be good to bring in a Malice to boost your Strength and Defense while blocking Recycle Beasts 2nd most consistant icon. The Ether would reign supreme being able to block all Physical, so mod that out if you don't want the FTS. Modify The Ether to have at least 2 Parched Baguette Crystals to avoid being frozen, and for your remaining two Modification slots you can either choose Water or Earth Defense Baguettes. Modify your Malice to have 1 Dark Defense Baguette and 2 of either Water or Earth Defense Baguette Crystals, whichever you did not use for The Ether slots. If Recycle Beast cannot get through your defense then you will have him easily. Optimally your ideal set against Recycle Beast would be OStaff and The Ether with Dark/Water Defense Baguettes appropriately and at least 1 Parched Baguette per weapon.

Recommended Weapons:

Shinwas Temple Shard

Recycle Blaster
Phoenix Quill

Key Weapons to Blast/Steal: Flamebreath, Sonic Boom
Key Points: Cannot Freeze this challenger nor can you steal against this challenger.
Key Modifications to Your Weapons: Fire Defense Baguette Crystal, Healing Baguette Crystal, Singed Baguette Crystal
Basic Strategy: With this challenger it is best to attempt to get rid of the Flamebreaths and Sonic Boom. Fire is a massive icon against this challenger and needs to be respected. Most pets can tank against this challenger with Healing Modifications added.
Intricate Strategy: Modify the PStaff to have 3 Fire Defense Baguette Crystals (yes, it does have the potential to block all fire but consistency is more reliable) and the MCAB with 3 Fire Defense Baguette Crystals as well. This way you can comfortably block at least half of Wyrmgears fire damage should the PStaff not activate the full Fire block. From there you will need to Blast the Mecha Quake to avoid any other type of damage being delivered to you. With the PStaff you will eventually Curse Wyrmgear so you will still do damage regardless of his Sonic Boom. With many rounds the PStaff + MCAB will boost your Strength and Defense so you will not get Critical Hits scored against you.

Recommended Weapons:

Truth Serum
Recycle Blaster
Deluxe Death Shard

Key Weapons to Blast/Steal: Saggitarius Blade, Dragon Heart
Key Points: Saggitarius is a fairly straight forward opponent, no hidden abilities. Blessings do not work against Saggitarius.
Key Modifications to Your Weapons: Healing Baguette Crystal, Singed Baguette Crystal, Thief Baguette Crystal
Basic Strategy: With Saggitarius being a very straight forward opponent he is simple strategically. The best way to tacke Saggitarius strategically is to block all Light damage. If you can do that then he will not be much of a chalenge, apart from the Critical Hits. Smaller pets can have success with Saggitarius by Stealing one of his Blades and one of his Dragon Hearts. If you can avoid critical hits your pet can last a long time and eventually beat Saggitarius.
Intricate Strategy: Use DGR + Ether to boost up and take as minimal damage as possible, heal when necessary. Once you have boosted up enough to stop the critical hits DDS + STS then TS + RB to take out his Draconic Rages/Goddess Slayers. From there go back to DGR + Ether.

Oracles Staff of Enlightenment
Rainbow Vortex

Reviver Of The Lion
Truth Serum

Key Weapons to Blast/Steal: Captain Itwontfreakingload, Private Bother
Key Points: General Error loves to freeze. He has a 100% multi use freezer as well as the Psycho Smasher Scroll (He has 4 of these lovely Scrolls, all Once Per Battle). He also has Private Bother, a 100% Steal Multi-use. With this chalenger his weapons will kill you if you use them.
Key Modifications to Your Weapons: Parched Baguette Crystal, Healing Baguette Crystal
Basic Strategy: General Error is the freezing nuisance, but thanks to the Forj weaponry you can sidestep most of it. In the first round, use DDS + FTS. You will freeze him and he will likely freeze you however you have a bonus, the Parched blessing will have likely activated and if you have modified your weapons to increase the Parched blessings activation percentage he shoud be more of a breeze and ess of a hassle. The only thing you may have to worry about is Critical hits because he has very high stats to begin with. Other than that, he does not hit for the amount of icons that the Saggitarius (the other Extremely Hard challenger) hits for. :)
Intricate Strategy: The intricate strategy is relatively the same as the Basic Strategy. If you are looking for a one-off victory for BQ's, you can use OStaff + OSS modded with Parched Baguettes. Oracles Blessing will remain active for majority of the battle and 1000 heal per round minimum is more than enough to see you through the fight.

Key Weapons to Blast/Steal: Any.
Key Points: Cannot Freeze Ice King, Random Challenger.
Key Modifications to Your Weapons: Ice Defense Baguette Crystal, Healing Baguette Crystal
Basic Strategy: Ice King is very unpredictable with his battle set. You can steal from him but it will only limit by 2-3 the variable icons you have to defend against. This challenger is best as a tank style challenger as the best way to beat him is to tank his attack through healing. His variable set and the lack of adequate defense possibilities limit any strategic implementation for this challenger.
Intricate Strategy: This Challenger has no intricate strategy.

Forj Matriarch, the Erupting

Beginning Stats:

Recommended Weapons:

Rainbow Vortex
Shinwas Temple Shard
Phoenix Quill
Truth Serum
Recycle Blaster

Key Weapons to Blast/Steal: Spitfire Tornado, Magma Armor, Interquake
Key Points: Forj has a scroll that blocks every icon except Water damage. The Scroll can also Steal from you, low chance. Forj cannot be frozen.
Key Modifications to Your Weapons: Water Baguette Crystal, Thief Baguette Crystal, Healing Baguette Crystal
Basic Strategy: With Forj the Erupting the only damage you can do is Water damage, so tack on the Water Baguettes! The general strategy is to take out the Spitfire Tornadoes because they hit for the most. They really hurt.
Intricate Strategy: First off, if your weapons don't do massive water damage don't bother. Abyss, PStaff and SoSS are the ideal weapons to take into battle with him. Modifying with Water Baguette Crystals to at least one of your weapons and Healing Baguettes on the other would be ideal. From there it is more attack/tank because other than water damage and staying alive Forj is a straight forward opponent that you can't freeze.

Recommended Weapons:

Shinwas Sacred Bow
Malerias Staff of Destruction
Rainbow Vortex
Shinwas Temple Shard
Phoenix Quill
Truth Serum
Recycle Blaster
Deluxe Death Shard

Key Weapons to Blast/Steal: Molecular Storm (Creates Prodigy Quarks), Proton Bomb
Key Points: Prodigys weapons will kill you if you use them. Prodigy can freeze you with the Prodigys Quark, which is created by Molecular Storm.
Key Modifications to Your Weapons: Parched Baguette Crystal, Singed Baguette Crystal, Healing Baguette Crystal, Freezing Baguette Crystal (Used to allow an extra round of "free" healing, however heals less on average than a 2% healing baguette crystal)
Basic Strategy: First turn freeze DDS + RV, Second turn TS + RB, Third turn use SoSS + MStaff, heal when necessary. The Parched modifications have greatly enhanced the ability to beat Prodigy without it being abe to freeze you for multiple times in a row. Heal when necessary (You did equip a Phoenix Quill and STS/RV right? :P)
Intricate Strategy: Prodigy is a tough opponent. You will need at least a PC, WC or a SoSS to comfortably block the massive amounts of water damage he does. Ideally it would be to have a SoSS + MStaff + SSB in your set. This way you can cover 3/4 of his main icon damage. So for this case we will use the 3 Godlies along with a DDS, RV, TS, RB, and PQ. Modify your SoSS to have either 2 or 4 Parched Baguette Crystals to get the Parched Blessing that blocks freeze. From there modify your other 2 Godlies (MStaff/SSB) to have 4 Healing Baguette Crystals. Great, you have your modifications set. Start off the battle by either using your DDS + RV, DDS + SoSS or SoSS + MStaff (with Psycho Smasher Scroll). This will give you a free pass to attempt to Steal/Blast his Molecular Storms. If you can manage to get 1, 2, or 3 you can be in good shape. Next, your next moves would be SoSS + MStaff + Scroll for several rounds. You will have to judge it based on how you are health wise. If you notice that Prodigy has used a Molecular Storm and has a Quark that is useable, switch your MStaff to the SSB. The Quark does massive dark damage and would probably kill you in one go if not blocked. Maintain your health through healing and if you have properly modified your weapons to have the Parched Blessing active it should remain active all battle long. In emergency use your PQ that you have handy.

@Liberator

Any chance there will be an expansion with lowest required stats...(the LUCKY scenario)...to the Suggested (easier scenario)?

I think this guide would SHINE with that type of point of view...would help a lot fo people from spending lots of sP quickly without training completely...we dont want HORRENDOUS scores all around do we? :P

@barz

Ya I think we are going to be moving it into more of a format like that.

I think in general a 200 stat pet will get you BQ wins on every challenger up to Daemon/Felibot/Jaques/Forj Medium.

Then the rest of them its a bit hazy what the min stats are. Probably around 800-1000 depending on the opponent. And much higher for the impossibles.

I love the idea for a guide like this. Newbies who are still learning the battle system can check in, see what they're doing wrong, figure out new strategies... but I have to ask a few questions.

Who is this guide targetting? Are the strategies aimed at getting one win for BQs, or beating the opponents after 5/10 wins? Someone like Willowisp doesn't require a Malevolent Grenade/FoRR Cuirass. Even a pet with 10 strength could one-hit K.O. him with just the Grimfruit. Newbies are... newbies. Putting the Grenade (9.3 mill) and FoRR Cuirass (18 mill in shops, no newbie will know how to make one cheaper) makes it seem like you need a whole arsenal to take on tiny opponents. A newbie doing wizard quests every day will take around a month to make that kind of sP, most probably won't be bothered.

My second point is that Godly weapons seem to be heavily relied upon against everyone from Recycle Beast and up. An OStaff and Ether to beat Recycle Beast? Maybe for a pet with 500 of each stat. Anyone with access to such Godly weapons shouldn't need a strategy put out step-by-step for them, they should play around a little bit and learn. Someone who's got billions invested in weapons should at least know how they work. Four Godly weapons to take on Saggi. My pet is about at the stage where I'm ready to beat him, and I have to say, the recommended weapons bit scares the love out of me.

Don't get me wrong, I do like the guide. I just think the introduction of all these new guides should be designed to encourage battling. When you're recommending weapons that less than 1% of battlers have access to, it is pretty discouraging.

Thanks for the guide, always helpful to know in advance which challengers don't allow healing, stealing ect...

Just a few points; I like barz idea for a section with min stats and suggested stats. Also, I agree with Survivor, some of the suggested weapons for the easiest enemies doesn't help. Almost anyone can beat up Buttwings with pretty much any restockable weapon. Sure there no good in the long run but your be able to defeat that one enemy.
Oh, and I wanted to add that for Daemon, stealing his soulful strike and using it against him is pretty useful if you don't have a decent blocker in your set.

@LIBERATOR This guide is pretty good @THESOVEREIGN

Good to see you have links to An Introduction to the Battle Coliseum and the Recommended Weapons Guide as every new 'battler' needs to read those from time to time.

I'm not sure how you feel since it's your guys guide, but with adding information about what stats or starting stats battlers pets should have to beat challengers listed, would only encourage them to go for the rewards. I kinda feel that if your a battler you will train and carry on training your pets till you can max out all challengers for EXP Pts, loots and Tokens.

As you have the Challengers Weapons and icons listed. If battlers don't have those weapons you suggest, encourage them to go look at the Recommended Weapons Guide so they can find the weapons in there budget or Armory that will help knock out the challengers. Suggest something like this at the top maybe.

@Survivor @smilesnz

We will be going more in depth to move away from the Godly weapons in strategy when I have more SP to confirm weapon sets used against challengers to bring it to a more broad of a scale. Mind you, we are more than happy to take strategies that you have developed yourselves into testing and at what stats it is possible with. For the challengers up until Jacques I was able to get 10 wins with my 200 stat pet, which we are aiming for.

This is a preliminary guide, which will be expanded further on to accommodate more aspects of the BC, like BQ's, 5 wins, etc. I felt that it should be posted the way it is for now while we develop some more strategies, and because there were only 2 people working on the strategies themselves I felt that getting more opinions was definitely the best way to go.

For now (before we research more strategies to prove they can work for each challenger to get the 10 wins) I'm loving the feedback you guys are bringing forward as this will help make the guide that much better for everyone that reads it. :)

Thank you for reading btw! And yes, keep ideas coming to us on how to improve it, and if you have strategies mail either myself or thesovereign with them and we will test them out. On a general scale we found that the FoRRC/p took the cake in any easy/medium/hard challenger for the most part with a few very hard challengers.

If you look closely you can see my pee pee place!!!

@Liberator

I have to echo the thought that recommending godly weapons isn't the best kind of thing for newbies :P

Grimfruit + Shear Sword is fab starter set but even that is overkill for the easy opponents, and there's nothing specific about them which help against the specific opponents. Like aboxalypse, you can use anything you like against him, I don't even think you need to list recommended weps for that just point in the direction of the recommended weapons guide.

Why even recommend the
Flame of Red Rreign Cuirass
for low opponents? You can get as far as the hard opponents without needing something so expensive.
Cursed Irion Chestplate
would be a good alternative, if it's even needed, Grimfruit will outheal all the easy-medium opponents damage.

I tried out some battles with a 10-stat pet. I just used the grimfruit and nothing else.

Willowisp - Total Damage: 11, 12.
He died in 2 turns. Who needs a RR cuirass or malevolent grenade when you can 2-hit KO him with a grimfruit alone?

Angry Angry Arnold - Total Damage: 6, 6.
He died in 2 turns aswell.

Pock, Saper and Riscors - Total Damage: 16, 16, 20, 20, 12.
Nothing the grimfruit can't outheal.

Buttwing Bomber - Total Damage: 26
He did more damage, but still died in one hit. With a less powerful healer I'd have needed some blocking. Perhaps Cursed Irion Chestplate?

Hostile Model 1544-C - Total Damage: 17 (+ frozen), 18
Frozen. Ouch! This is the first opponent to actually KO me. How to survive the freeze? RR items + shear sword are not gonna help one bit when you're frozen :/ But the blessing from
Shrine of Apollonia
will (20 heal every turn).

Eclipse
Quote:
Intricate Strategy: This challenger is at a difficulty where a major strategy is not necessary.
Beginner battlers WILL find this very difficult, saying it isn't difficult is like an insult to smaller pets:P

No healing. So my grimfruit healing strategy isn't gonna work, but I don't have 40 mil lying around for a Shinwas Temple shard + Rainbow Vortex. I'll use
Cursed Irion Chestplate
instead.
Eclipse - Total Damage: 0
That worked. Blocked everything. So why do I need to spend millions? Also, the RR Cuirass is a BAD choice for this opponent. Why? It doesn't block dark. It's absolutely useless against him. He'll blast right through it. Freezing is a good strategy for this opponent. Somebody who has gotten this far might be willing to invest a few million in a freezer, since they will get so much use from it.

Anyway, my 10 stat pet used DDS + Cursed Irion Chestplate on first turn, bomb (Mystical Star Shuriken) + grimfruit, Shinwas Back Up Staff (to block dark) + grimfruit and made it without a scratch. Maybe I could do it without the freeze if I trained my pet.

I purposely didn't use my expensive weapons to try this, so anyone could do the same. It's safe to assume that the people who are looking at this guide (at least for the easy opponents) have minimal pet stats and not a lot of sP to throw at it.

Love the guide :)

Though if you could include a 'recommended stats' section for each opponent (featuring the lowest stats a person has beaten said opponent with) then that would be cool :)
And less board stretching!! :P

Anyone know why the boards are getting stretched anyways?

We don't have any pictures that would stretch the boards on their own that I see.

I really need to get a 10HP pet back so I can go through and figure out what pets exactly can beat each challenger.

I am 99% sure I could beat each of these guys with a 10HP pet:
Cursed Irion
Aboxalypse
Willowisp
Lizard Minion
Pock, Saper and Riscors
Muffin Man
Oslyae the Amazonian Montre
Mechalag (I have some doubt there - but I have a strategy in mind)
Tide
Eclipse (might be harder than I am thinking though)
Buttwing Bomber
Manticat
Hostile Model 1544-C
Mephysto
Forj Matriarch, the Dormant
Angry Arnold (although I don't have him yet)

These all probably need a 180-300 stat pet to beat 10 times
Daemon
FeliBot 1.0.1
Nightshade
Fish Breath Jacques
Forj Matriarch, Rekindled
Mama Mush (I don't have this challenger yet)

These probably require around a 800 stat pet minimum to get a couple wins (but I have never owned a 800 stat pet so I couldn't say for sure.):
Recycle Beast
Saggitarius
Wyrmgear
General Error

Then the Impossibles take much bigger pets obviously:
Prodigy
Forj Matriarch, the Erupting

I would say that the boards are probably getting stretched because of the huge lines you have between each challenger.
Why not just make each new challengers name a bit bolder?

Thanks I got rid of mine.

@liberator get rid of the _________ on each challenger so we aren't stretching the boards.

Thanks for this guys, I might have to try out some of the strategies for the big boys, I only have GE, Saggi and Prod left to fight, Saggi I already have a few wins on.

I like the guide guys, but I agree with Survivor; recommending God weapons left and right isn't really helpful to anyone, much less newbies, unless you're lucky enough to be one of the few to own one of them. XD
I love where this is going though, when it's expanded a little on different weapons.

I would say that '800 stat minimum' is way too low; Flic's 800 in stats and he can't even make a DENT in Saggi, RB, Wyrm or GE. And if he can, he dies immediately. I don't know if you could get around that with a strategy, but I think you'd be hard-pushed. Just saying. :P

@SEA
Flic should be able to take on Recycle Beast and Wyrmgear, I think ~800-900 stats was the time Jobtha started beating up those guys. For Recycle Beast you should try to blast either the Vicious Bites or Recycling Slams, either will do. With two percentage healers and a bit of luck you'll be able to out-heal him for most attacks, and when not, use blockers or a full healer to get you across the line. There are still times when he beats up Jobtha with a 1200-damage critical hit, but not that often, you should try him a couple of times :)

Wyrmgear is definitely beatable if you have a Prodigy Staff. First turn blast the Mechaquake and one of the Flamebreaths. That only leaves him with one Flamebreath to attack with. Two percentage healers + your blockers + full healers and 9/10 times you'll be able to out-heal him, especially with the Prodigy Staff blocking all damage 2/5 times.

Saggi/General Error, too scary for me yet. I'm sure it's possible with Godly weapons, but I'll just be patient :P

Hm wow thanks for the advice and tips! o_o Guess I wasn't blasting the right stuff lol, cause that flamethrower is a killer, but I guess once you get rid of that, Wyrm's not so bad...

Yeah, those Flamebreaths are killer. 40 bloody icons! Critical hit they will do around 640 damage, and you can heal about half of that, so Flic should be able to survive long enough. His Repair Bot is only one-use too. The Sonic Boom is annoying as hell though, thank goodness for the curse on the Prodigy Staff :P

@SEA

What survivor said sounds pretty accurate.

Also - with Ostaff + Oracles Short sword - you can keep the 1K HP heal blessing alive for extended periods for GE - although that may be a stretch.

Saggi ill admit you might be right - 800 stats might be a bit too low.

I am pretty sure that Stephen was able to beat the Ice king with a 800 stat pet - but then again he has amazing weapons.

But Saggi/GE might be ambitious at that point - although I wouldn't be super surprised to see someone eek out a win.

Ice King is easy with a 900 stat pet, and yes I beat him with an 800 stat one :P
Wyrmgear is easy to get 10 wins on once you have 900 even stats, though I could only get about 7 wins with an 800 stat pet.

Both rely on having the right weapons though :p

@THESOVEREIGN @SEA
My pet's stats are around 600 and I managed a couple of wins against the Recycle Beast.
My set = Phoenix Quill, Catastrophe, Deluxe Death Shard, Rainbow Vortex, Shinwas Temple Shard, Malerias Short Sword and Chancellors War Shield. + Soothing Current Scroll

Health: 52/737
Strength: 645
Defense: 646
Speed: 149
Intelligence: 368

I added a Parched Baguette Crystal to my CWS and 3 Singed Baguette Crystals to my Short Sword.
CWS + Short Sword block all Earth, Dark and Physical so you can tank the water.

He uses critical hits, but with a bit of luck, you can beat him a couple of times.

Yeah I have gotten 5 wins on RB with a 650 pet and only enough AP for Soothing Current I think. It was a tad frustrating because of criticals but doable (granted I was using Ether). CWS+Malerias SS seems like an excellent combo except that it is slow and susceptible to criticals.

@barz @smilesnz @Survivor @rhino_loupe @Stephen @Jayman @Mike

Just an update I have been working with my 200 stat pet (though thanks to auto-training he is getting closer to mid 200's with every passing day) to see what challengers I can max out on and which ones I cant. When I get the spare sp I will probably end up creating a new pet to see how low someone can go. I wont train it for a few days (I'm a training/boosting addict as you all are quite aware) in order to maintain the 10 stats all around while trying to max out on everything. We will be adding a new heading once we can confirm the lowest stats for all the challengers that you can win against with and we are researching new strategies. The original strategies will stay on but we will add them on as we can confirm they are doable for 10 wins against the challengers.

So far All of the Easy/Mediums were doable with him with the strategies.
I have beaten Forj Rekindled using the FoRRC/p + Prodigy Staff (3 healing baguettes) + Terra Scroll (no blasting/pquill/sts required)

I will try the other hard challengers tomorrow, though i dont think i will have much luck due to criticals. I will test it out though. I think I'll have luck with Mechalag at least, though I may have to try some new strategies for Daemon, Nightshade and others.
I have been able to get 1 win against Jacques back when I was 180 stats but couldn't get anything else. I'll try again now for the 2nd win but we will see.
As for Daemon, my 400 stat pets have been able to get 1 win so far fairly easily, though I need to battle more to fully test everything out. I may alter some strategies.

Oh and rhino_loupe I do like the idea of the Irion Chestplate. Although it won't replace the FoRRC in the strategies that we have already. It is a Once Per Battle Item so it is an alternative to the STS or RV. STS and RV will be with a user for their lifetime, which is why we even bother to suggest them in the beginning. They will be with your pet from beginning to end which is why at a lower they are a great investment because your set changes so frequently. Albeit you can buy them and not use them, they are a good investment.

@Liberator

Thanks for the update

Tormo has beaten Daemon once (when daemon came out) I tried with my other pets at similar stats but got no wins
His stats are
Level: 140
Health: 347/347
Strength: 348
Defense: 348
Speed: 347
Intelligence: 39

Not sure what weapons I used, but my good attackers I think

I've beat Daemon once with 15ish hp (but 125 strength). You just have to chain freeze, not too bad with potions and poisonous barrage scroll.

Daemon is possible at around 250 stats and a scroll. I've got 4 wins vs. Daemon with my pet and probably less-than-ideal set, but got far too frustrated with critical hits to go for the 5th.

I know what the items do. The reason I suggested Cursed Irion Chestplate on Eclipse is because FotRRC doesn't block Dark. As you can see he can do up to 8 icons of Dark per turn and if none of that is defended that's gonna kill a small pet very fast. STS, RV and Cursed Irion Chestplate are all suitable, but not FotRRC. Please re-read my post since you obviously skipped some parts. I tried your strategy with a low-stat pet. It didn't work.

I have to wonder who the guide is aimed at... some people new to battling may be willing to spend the sP as an investment, but that's not the norm. IMO The biggest investment a new battler should make until the likes of Hard opponents is a freezer.

I can see the guide is more focused on the tougher opponents, but if a new battler ends up here looking for advice for early opponents they are gonna be scared away by the apparent cost.

@rhino_loupe I think you misread what I actually wrote. I stated that I will look into the Chest Plate, not that I would toss it aside. I also stated that it wouldn't replace the FoRRC in the strategies being plural not specifically for Eclipse alone. I understood what challenger that you were talking about but I was referring to all challengers, not just Eclipse. Like I said, I will test it out and more than likely add it in. As for the strategy that is posted, I was able to beat Eclipse using that strategy with a dark defense mod on the forrc and shear sword. I'm not sure what you did wrong there.

As for who the guide is directed to, everyone. Yes, almost all of the weapons that we recommend are expensive and of course they will require some investment. We took into consideration you can pick up any weapon and beat most challengers. So if we were to recommend weapons for each challenger that you can use to beat said challenger then we would be recommending over 500 weapons for some challengers. That is why the link to the Recommended Weapons Guide is included in the beginning. So if you choose to use different weapons that is not a problem, you can beat the challengers with different weapons no doubt. Not to mention, we overlap the weapons we suggest a lot so you get your full use out of the weapons that we recommend and they will all maintain their resale value. Not to mention they are reliable.

Your strategy doesn't mention anything about modification crystals. I followed your strategy exactly as you wrote it. If modification crystals are a necessary part of this strategy then they should be included too.

Re-modding weapons just for one opponent isn't a very efficient method, though.

@rhino_loupe I edited it to include the Defense mod. I didn't know that 3 medium battle tokens were hard to come by. Like the disclaimer says these are not the be all end all strategies to use for the challengers. Plus at the top of the guide a new battler can look at the guides that I have linked to if they don't want to use the weapons we recommend.

3 medium battle tokens are **VERY** hard to come by for a player who is having trouble beating eclipse.

The people who have medium battle tokens to spare probably aren't the ones who need a strategy.

@rhino_loupe Considering the strategies provided for medium challengers allow a 10hp pet to beat majority of them I don't see how they are "VERY" hard to come by. Not to mention if you were fighting Eclipse it wouldn't be for Medium tokens. You can dislike the work that has been put into the guide and nit-pick because you can beat challengers with cheaper weapons all that you want, I'm tired of stating everything that has been stated in the initial post over again. Thoroughly read the pre-strategy stuff and then the disclaimer. If you have a problem after that...well...don't read the thread then unless you are willing to write a guide for every challenger to replace the existing one with these factors in mind:

Pet stats needed
Weapons - reusable, resale value, cost, effectiveness
Modifications - logic, use, cost, replacement ease

I'd be more than happy to read what you have to say strategically wise.

@LIBERATOR
I think the guide is perfectly fine in that all the strategies work, obviously, and it's encouraging newbies to invest in the standard weapons. I like that. I just think the problem is you can never underestimate the stupidity of newbies (some, anyway). When looking at Willowisp most newbies will be too impatient to read the guide and just look at the pretty pictures of recommended weapons. They will either complain that the Malevolent Grenade is too expensive, or actually buy all those weapons and then complain that the reward does not justify the cost. It will be completely their fault, I agree, but discouraging for them nonetheless.

So I believe that the Malevolent Grimfruit and Shear Sword are a perfect combo. I wouldn't suggest telling them to buy the FoRR stuff or Malevolent Grenade until Lizard Minion. Let them beat all the easy challengers with the Grimfruit and Sword, and then they can feel like they're progressing more steadily. (Exception being Eclipse, I do think the Cursed Irion Chestplate is a good recommendation against him, it's 100x cheaper than a STS or RV).

As for modifications, again, probably not necessary for easy or medium challengers. Medium tokens may or may not be easy to come by, but it's not logical for someone doing BQs to have to switch crystals every battle. Never underestimate the stupidity of newbies :P
I am glad you are listening and taking everything into consideration, please don't think I'm attacking you or the guide, just offering my two cents. I would like to see this guide perfect more than anyone :)
