I've contacted the owner of the ping group about this thread, and he has stated, "It's really not an issue at all for me. I created the group to try and help users, so as long as the boards doing that I'm fine with it."

Sorry guys. I couldn't find where it was pinged about, so I figured it might be new news. Better safe than sorry! Plus now there doesn't have to be different boards to ping the group, at least =D

I was debating with myself about it too, but I know I'd kick myself if I didn't. All that debating made me late to meet up with my friend (still am...) XD So I'm glad its not all for nothing!

Why, because you decided to be boss of pinging? I'm a little confused here...

I presume you are in the group, you would have gotten the SAME two pings.

She's just setting up a board, just like the Token Shop board. Is one ping to let us know there's a specific board for it now really so bad?

It's not that having one board for the pings is bad... it's just unnecessary...

I joined the group about an hour ago, so I didn't get the other pings. I wasn't sure where these pings would have been located to look/make sure that I didn't double (or in this case, triple) ping the group.

It doesn't seem any more unnecessary to me than the Token Shop ping board. I mean, where else are we going to ping when there is a new item? The SF board has to die sometime, and it won't always fit in the BC board, where the other ping came from.

The logical thing to do would have been to wait till you got the first ping instead of acting like you owned the group or something. IDK, maybe it's just me.
