uhm im all about this site. all the crazy backgrounds, and yellow snowballs, pets covered in blood, and my lovely kumos who's be-headed...

but i've gotta put my stop sign up for this item....

lol i think its just pushing the limit... just a bit....

maybe not.... but...

@, I think someone complained about that item last year too

I dunno, I don't like it, but to me it's just an item on a site. If I don't like it I don't pay any attention to it

It is a bit edgy but I guess that's what make people like it? =3

What if it was a plushie? A blood covered fetus plushie? I'd find that even worse than a lollipop

There are a few items I don't like so I just ignore them, others like them, so I don't mind too much, and there are many more items I love than ones I don't like.

The fetus pops are one of the more controversial items on Subeta. I also think that they go too far with these. This was brought up last year, though. I wonder if I could find the thread.

Item not found: drowned flavored fetus pop

All the wonderful fetus' Subeta is PG-13 not everything is candy coated. There are some items that cross the line, and the Fetus' are a few amongst many. I do agree with though, you might not have a problem with it, but your first few posts come off like you do.

I don't think they are offensive, to me is just like any other eyeball, or finger shaped item.

I think the plushies are cute. We have items like
and such, so drawings of non-realistic-looking fetus candy and plushies don't really bother me.

I think the fetus pops have been complained about since their release back in 2008, though.

It is pushing the limit a bit - I also don't like them, but I don't think they're worth worrying about. It's like what others have said - it's just an item on a site. ^^

I think they're funny, since they're candy. I guess it's only appealing to those with a sick sense of humor, but the fetus pops have always made me chuckle.

And personally, the

really strikes me funny. I was jaundiced so I guess it feels close to home or something? idk. Maybe I just think failing liver is delicious.

I collect those fetus items and am not offended by them at all.

they're all adorable.

maybe if the pops were 'real' fetuses I'd be a little more upset but as it is I'm fine with these.
this is coming from someone who thinks those lollyRoosters you can buy irl are in bad taste and kind of really gross. lool.

Why would have beheaded pets, having roadkill pets(GY Antlephore and Terracoon), dead bodies (AND BEING ABLE TO EAT IT), being able to mutilate your body by getting gaping holes as eyes, atrocious scars, being turned into a zombie AND GETTING YOUR TUMMY exploding fine.

But, a lollipop representing a fetus wouldn't be?

Would they be more acceptable if they were called Blood Flavor Baby Pop? Or Cherry Flavor Fetus Pop?

I don't see why they're a big deal. -shrugs-
I find the plushies a tad bit cute, and the pops funny.
There's a lot of things on Subeta that could disturb someone, but to me it's nothing worth getting upset over.

I would say 'just deal with it'/'don't look at it'/etc but apparently we take down billboards with hickey-nipples and these are way more theoretically offensive than that so who knows, something might happen this year...

User not found (1): jonas pretty much explained it as I would have. There are plenty of worse things on Subeta that no one seems to have an issue with-- dead bodies, half-rotted pets, zombies, organs.. The fetus items aren't even realistic.

People take offense too easily imho. They're just pixels.

I absolutely love all the happy little fetus items, they make me giggle and smile whenever I look at them. But I also love the skeleton fetus a certain metal band sometimes uses for their logos, so ... I might have just a weird taste, but at least I'm not alone with that. Ha. xD

Nipples aren't removed because they're offensive. They're being removed because nipples aren't PG-13 for internet usage.

And, honestly, if you got caught at work looking at fetus pops and zombies, or looking at nipples, I don't think your boss will have the same reaction.

tldr, Fetus pops are PG-13. Nipples are not.

Right, a reference to child molestation is definitely not more offensive than a fetus. Not at all.

Because if you were interpreting that billboard (that was clearly a joke) as child molestation, you're probably interpreting this sucker (that's clearly a joke) as abortion.

I'm just saying, if someone could interpret the other thing as child abuse, it's not really a stretch to see how someone could interpret this as abortion.

QFT. Abortion isn't offensive to all people, but I don't know of anyone that is pro-child molestation.

And there's a difference between a candy image that could be interpreted, at the own viewer's choice, as supporting abortion, and a billboard that actually describes child molestation. Now, if one of these pops described horrifically aborting a child, that'd be a different story. But as it stands, they're just cute little candy and plushie images that vaguely resemble fetuses. Googling the word "fetus" brings up far worse images.

Honestly, I don't find them that offensive. Except for the Drowned flavor one, I think that one may be pushing it a bit. I think they only did the flavors to make them a rainbow selection, though.
