Cowboys and Indians.
The most talked about topic in history. Equally the most interesting. Let's walk back to that era of time when cowboys and indians rarely got along; always at war with one another for land and game. There was no stopping such things from happening. It would occur even if someone came in and made cause for them to stop. War was inevitable between the cowboys and indians.

Right now, they're tangled up in another war over land that belongs completely to the Earth and not one man or group of men. The indians are fighting with all their might to keep the land they thrive on as Mother Earth's land and not man's land. The men are fighting to gain more land to build and prosper on, but things have gotten heavy between the two groups of men. Both sides have lost many men, but this war still wages forward.

Until something miraculous happens. One single cowboy left the campsite for a small midnight walk, for he couldn't sleep, and runs into a young indian woman. Of course, the man is tense, but she is as harmless as a rabbit. She smiles to him before turning around and heading back toward her Indian tribe. The cowboys calls to her asking her for her name, but she just glances back with a smile and continues on toward home. That was the last time he saw her; until the next day.

Maybe there is some hope for these two groups of people. Maybe they can get along with each other. They just need a little help in realizing that neither one is worse than the other. It's just that new things are always scary and instead of acting like a man they fight to rid themselves of fear. Hopefully this young cowboy and this woman, along with the help of others, can change these warring men's minds about each other.

Rules:
--Be literate meaning proper spelling and grammar, no one liners, about four to five paragraphs for an introduction, and about two to three per post after your intro. If you have writers block one paragraph is fine, but please don't have it constantly.
--No powerplaying or god-modding. Everyone has their own character, please play your own character not someone else's.
--Bordeaux is co-owner of this thread. Listen to her as well as me.
--Be nice to all fellow roleplayers. I don't want to see any arguing on this thread. If you have an issue let me or Bordeaux and we'll do our best to take care of things.
--Keeps genders and cowboy/indian ratio as even as possible.
--Two character's max please. If you feel you can handle more, let me or Bordeaux know and we'll talk it over.
--Do NOT ask to join on this board. Ask to join on Bordeaux's OOC board please. Post your skeleton's on that board as well. We're only doing this because we don't want this board to get cluttered. Plus it makes it easier to look at everyone's skeletons.
--Please join our ping group: #Indians when you join.
--If you have any questions, concerns, comments, or ideas please let me know via comment.
--HAVE FUN! :]

#Indians

A young girl let her head rise above the somewhat warm liquid and let out a small gasp. Singing River had decided to take a dip into a hot spring, one that the tribe was unaware about except for her 'sister' Rushing Wind. Due to the unexpected heat of the morning, River found that the spring was somewhat cold in comparison. Like a fall afternoon... she mused to herself as she let her body fall against the sleek and transcluent walls that glittered from the reflection of the pooling and waving waters.

The cavern was enormous, a giant dome-shaped formation with a hole located in the top of structure. Everywhere she looked there was always a stalagmite of geode of some sort that reflected the sunlight just right to create a myriad of colors. The entrance was small, unnoticeable even to the sharpest eyes, but River's tribe of late had somehow discovered it and had kept it hidden all that time. She was just a girl when they had found this, unusual for the area that she now was inhabited in, but a natural occurence nonetheless.

As she reached for her buffalo skin robe, her hands felt against something much softer and warmer than the piece of dried and sewn leather. It was living, moving, and made a small noise when her hands traveled up what must be the neck. The light made the cave dim, and upon inspection it was just that of a small wild cat who had stumbled into the cavern looking for a drink; its small tongue dipping into the water as if she wasn't there. The drought wasn't really affecting her, but the animals were all suffering.

Quickly grabbing the robe, she ran her hands through her hair and tried to ring out all of the excess water before leaving the dark and mysterious place she went often to relax and think. I wonder what my sister and the tribe are all up to... her thoughts drifting off as she avoided the large rocks and brush in her path.
