So,I have acne scarring. I dont have any deep marks or anything,and no one seems to notice it, but i do :I.
they aremostly small red spots, or its small and just...noticeable to me.Most are old and some are new, of course its from picking.

I was wondering if any of you know any good remedies or products for you that have worked? =] thanks bunches.

edit: im on a phone so ignore misspelling and short responses and whatnot.

@PURRr
I've heard that Mederma is supposed to work pretty well for any kind of scarring. I haven't tried it myself though. I think it's pretty expensive too.

I've recently purchased a toner by Neutrogena, it's the 'Rapid Clear' one, that's supposed to fade away your old marks, and prevent new ones . . .
IT'S MAGIC IN A BOTTLE.
Or, I noticed a difference in one day's use, basically.
And I've struggled with acne for a while, trying every off-counter type of wash and cleanser. I finally decided to get this one (I was afraid it would be too harsh) and it's amazing. Plus, it smells good.

@PURRr

I've been using Mederma's scar cream + sph for the acne scars on my shoulders + a separate scar on my forearm.
The main issues: It has to be applied 3 times a day, which can be hard to keep up with. For new scars, the directions say to use it for 8 weeks. For old scars, you're looking at 3-6 months.
I've been using it for 3 weeks and I do notice a difference, but it's a slow process. A big plus is that it has spf 30, and it's safe for sensitive skin. A little also goes a long way!

It costs $17-20 for a 20g tube, and you can buy it at Target, Walmart, Walgreens, etc, or online.

sorry or the super late replies, everyone!
@Kyradriel I believe i actually have mederma, never really got into it though, perhaps i should try again. I heard its just a bunch of ingredients not really proven to actually help scars but its always worth the try.

@Rosen there are more replies now if youd like to check em out too =]

@Landiekate Haha, i totally got excited when i read this. my face is pretty super-sensitive, tends to be oily as of now from the heat, but sometimes it gets dry...im definitely gettin this one!

@Bordeaux Im actually saving money to go to a derma now..i figure it couldnt hurt. My family is laughing at me because ive been searching for change all around the house and such...but after a few days i already have 30 bucks in change hah.

@ginger_kitty I believe i do have mederma but i never really got into it. Have yo noticed it clogging your pores at all? that seems to be my issue as of now...anyways, goodluck

Yay. I hope it helps you out~
Their redness-reducing one (the gel cleanser) works wonders too, in case you ever have that sort of problem.

I haven't had an issue with it clogging my pores, but I've heard that from people who use the scar gel (versus the scar cream with spf).

@PURRr

Try masking your scar with thin pieces of fresh ginger. It's a traditional Chinese way of healing scars :')
if you're interested, I'll tell you the detailed procedure.

@PURRr

after washing/drying face put thin sliced ginger on where you have scars. leave it on for as long as you want (if it doesnt stick, you can put a tiny amount of honey)

be sure to test if you are allergic to ginger or not.
and not recommended for sensitive skin :')

95% of my acne scars went away (they were similar to yours) I'm assuming you're still young, so your skin is still developing and what not.

It's a very good chance that what you have aren't scars, but post-inflammation, which fades after a while. If you pop a zit, try not to pick the scabs after, they step up the healing process.

@PURRr After trying so many products for discoloration and scarring, I have found a godsend. It is cheap and easy and has really worked great. Bragg's Organic Apple Cider Vinegar. There are all kinds of recipes to make your own toner out of it. It balances your skins pH levels and keeps it clear and evens out skin tone. Here is a link to reviews of people that have used it: http://www.makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ItemId=52238/Braggs_Apple_Cider_Vinegar/0/Toners

Mederma is definitely the most well-known, and proven to be quite effective.
Visiting your dermatologist would also be a good idea because everyone has a little bit different skin and whatnot. Also I researched this a bit and found this cream called Tru-Derm Scar Cream that, like mederma, has SPF. It's used on old scars but seems to work pretty well from what people say. 1.75 oz. is $11.95. c':

I use Clinique Even Better Dark Spot Serum o__o;
I have scarring from acne that is from a deep infection that nothing has helped. I've been to four different dermatologists and nothing has helped except for Clinique although my skin is still not perfect it is much better than it was a few years ago. Plus this stuff lasts forever because I only use a tiny bit at a time

@PURRr
Mederma helped me a lot, just make sure to put it on daily.
I also found using any store-brand scar/cut ointment really helps as well.

@PURRr mederma didn't do crap for me lol. plus it's really really expensive here. a somewhat inexpensive but very sticky alternative is to buy vitamin e gel capsules, give 'em a pop, and put it on your face. C: i used them on my stretchmarks. it worked wonders. you can try taking them, too, because that helped me a lot, too.

good luck!

@Engrave I just turned 18, but i do understand and i believe most of them do go away, but i would like to use things to help minimize since im not a fan of foundation/powders. thanks though, ill keep that in mind.
@Orchestra it really depends on what lighting im in...sometimes the red marks,which are what you're talking about, are very prevalent and then in some lights you cant see anything...i really need to do other things with my hands than picking, i havent picked for a few days now, i really need to quit.
@Breakfast i think ive tried that once, but it wasnt organic it was regular apple cider vinegar diluted. It wasnt a miracle for me but im willing to try again with organic apple cider that still has the nourishing mother in it
@Pervert ive never really been too hot on mederma like i said before, but always worth another try. Im really trying to save up money to go to a dermatologist because i think itll help me not just clear up the scarring but just improve my overall skin routine
@Radiance i kinda feel like making a store bought concoction of sorts >.> so tired of the red spots, im just a fiend for perfection.
@Murdoc aaamen, i never really got into mederma. im not really in the position where i can have goop all over my face like i used to, but i think im going to start using vitamin e hydrating toner from the body shop, seems promising. thankyou

on a sidenote~im not sure where you guys live, but the lush products grease lightning, fresh face toner, and fresh farmacy have really helped my acne, not so much scarring though. been using them for a week, but if anyone else has really sensitive skin like me, its great cause its all natural/organic/additive free.
