..This actually happened to me.. Hella rude, amiright? Why do I always get the short jokes. This girl will walk away every time I even so much as cross her path. What the love? >_>

I'm always mistaken for a younger girl.I'm 18,but I look like I'm maybe 16.
When I'm job hunting or whenever we need 18 to buy something,I always need to show my card.
I'm maybe way too short ;_;

But don't take seriously what people say.
They are jealous or they just have a lack of self-esteem.

That's horrible! Reminds me of all the nasty things people said to me when I was at school.

This actually happened:

I was walking up the school path (there's two buildings, seperated by a big playing field) to the other building when the group of girls who always bully me started whispering and giggling to each other. Then the 'ring leader' shouted at me:

"Hey ginger minger! You look like you just shoved your head up a woman's fanny (vagina) when she was on her period!"

Yes. She really said that. And that was when she was fifteen-years-old. Old enough to know better. I got abuse (verbal and physical) just because my hair is naturally red.

@Haku - A girl used to shout DOG in my face when I passed her while I was still in school.
I really have no idea why as I had never spoken to her before.
She did it ever day without fail for years as well oO
Oh other people used to tell me to 'brush your hai' in a nasty way too.
It would upset me cause I have naturally curly hair and its very hard to manage it!

I honestly dont know why people feel the need to do crap like that.

i've been called short my whole life (i'm 5'1, not super duper short but still short status) but never anything vicious like that. just teasing from my friends - guys seem to think it's cute, screw the haters. i'm 22.

@ I'd so dress up and scare the crap out of someone like that. Scaring people is a fun hobby.

I'm short too. I can't figure out if it's 4"11' or 5"1' so I normally say "five foot nothing". It's not like that extra inch does me any good.

Welcome to my world where everyone seems to be taller than me.

I'm short, my mum's short and my sister's short. Shortness seems to run in the girl side of our family. Only my other sister isn't short.

I remember when someone said to me "You're really short for a year 12." so I said to him "All the easier to kick you in the balls with."

I'm not short, but a lot of my friends are.
People who don't know you and suddenly start picking on you or being mean:
1. Are stupid / jealous
2. Don't have a life
3. Try to look cool because they are with friends
^ Probably one of these.

Being tall isn't all that great either. Some people are mean to me BECAUSE I'm tall. It's not like I really care about what they say.

Truthfully, I never heard of tall people being bullied for their height. Bullies will pick on anything these days.

Then again, as I said, one of my sisters is tall for a girl and people were either friends with her or scared of her! That's using your height to an advantage. She wasn't a bully though, she only threatened people who bullied me.

The things they say to me aren't really that bad.
Most of the time it's something like 'Hey, watch out for that sign' when I'm like 'How on earth could I even hit that sign?' or other things like that that don't make sense.
I always wonder if those people are trying to make fun of themselves by saying such things.

In my family everyone is pretty tall. I really hate it when people bully short kids. It's not their fault that they are short, right?

Ehh I hate short jokes. I'm only 4'9" and 19. Just the other day at work, I was cleaning the outside windows when two guys walked past me. The one stopped and stood next to me, so I looked up at him and he pointed up to a window I could never reach. After that, he laughed and patted me on my head. Yeah, thanks dude >_>

Rude is rude.
I'm 5'5, so I'm pretty average but I still get confused for being younger.
My friends are the ones who enjoy the short jokes, that and my coworkers.
Even though there is a girl who is legally a midget my coworkers all aim for me when it comes to height.

I think the worse that's happen to me though is when I went to apply at a pizza place the man refused to give me an application.
Why? I didn't have my ID on me (I had walked there for food originally.) and he refused to believe I was older then fourteen. I'm nineteen.

Up until this year I was only 5'1" and my friends would make little remarks like "I always feel so much taller around you!" or "Wow, I never noticed you were so short!", but it was never anything hurtful ^^'
I hope you know that not everyone shares their opinions, and even though you can't stop yourself from being offended, at least you know that the people whose opinions are worth caring about would never treat you that way c:

Oh yeah I get short jokes all the time. I'm 4' 10". I have been 4' 10" for the past ten years. People have noticed.

...I've never been told I look creepy though, just stuff like I'm adorable, fun-sized, etc.

I was never really bullied for my height. I'm 5'4". I'm short for my family, but they just kind of pick on me... but I'm not the shortest. That's my mom. I usually get bullied for being/sounding stupid. Most of the guys my age as I grew up called me stupid and annoying. ._.

But then I grew up and got pretty and made friends with guys who aren't buttheads. No one calls me stupid anymore, but, I have my blond moments.

I am collecting any piece of clothing you might have that you don't like! Anything is useful to me!

I've never been teased for my height (I'm 5'4" so I'm not terribly tall but not super short either.) but I've been bullied for a lot of things. My looks, the way I talk (I have a slight lisp. Not as bad now though, but still noticeable.), how I dress.

And the whole "they grow up more once they hit high school" is so much bullcrap I swear to God. If anything, they get so much better at it since some of them have been bullying you since elementary school.

Thank you, 10th grade math class and 11th grade science for reminding me how possible it is to feel extremely alone and unwanted in a room full of people. >_>

I've never been cruelly teased because of my height. I've always tended to be the short one, except for against one of the family friends (she's in her 40s, and around 5') or my sister in law (30 something and about 5' too). I'm 5'4" so not that short but... I hung out with guys taller than 6' for most of my high school time, so I was always the short one. They did make fun of me, but it was playful. One of them still will say something along the lines of "Wait, Cass' here? I didn't see her!". Thanks Ryan. Love you too.

Might have some drama at work when I try to do matienince on one of the printers, as the thing comes up to my chin, and I have to get racks out from the top of it that are at least 3 feet tall. My coworker (6 inches taller than me at least) has problems with this. So... Drama. Yeah. Whee.

It was also the cause of someone giving me the nickname of the honey badger. Because I tend to playfully tease people and those people tend to be a foot taller than me, and half the time, weigh two time as much as me, at least. ._.;;

I get the "brush your hair" thing all the time. Even my own niece told me to brush my hair in a rude way :| My hair is very fragile, and breaks easily, so if I don't constantly push my hair down it'll look like I just rolled out of bed. But still, people don't have to remind me of my crapty hair everywhere I go.

I'm average height, you know, like 5'4'', but my BFF in the whole universe is like 4'9''.
Someone told her she reminded them of Edna Mode from the Incredibles, and I was like, "WHUT YOU DON'T EVEN LOOK LIKE HER."
But, she didn't take it too badly since this guy has been her friend since elementary school. In fact, we were laughing so much since he sent a text message while she was at my place and he never texts her.
The confusion on her face... I won't forget. Haha.

People say I look like Taylor Momsen. Which I am totally fine with because I love her.
But people are also mean to me ;-;. This one girl says I look like one of her guy friends. And I don't. Lol.
People also say I look older than what I am. I'm 16 and have gotten told I'm 19. -.- When I was 12, I was told I looked 17 or 18. Preeeety weird...
