What's Your Patronus?

 I figured that I should make some sort of contribution to the last Harry Potter movie coming out, heh heh. It's simple, really: What Patronus would you see yourself having and why? A Patronus can, depending on circumstances, change to suit your needs, so keep that in mind if you can't think of just one. Mine would be an octopus.  Because I am creative, clever, usually quiet and observing, and ever changing to adapt to the world around me as well as my own imagination. Well, that's just the basic description, but you get the idea.

I've looked at this for awhile actually and I think the raccoon fits me best--based on both my personality and my experiences.
I've heard that J.K. Rowling based the patronuses after celtic animal birth signs tho, so if that's the case then mine would be a goose

@Follywood & @defiant Sweet! I once considered mine being a fox but I though an octo was more fitting for me. And I've heard that origins story too which is lovely because some of the animals do make sense, such as the stag.

I've always wanted a badger as my Patronus. No particular reason, I just think they're adorable in their little burrows.

You'd have an octopus as well? I'd have one, too... I see it as my animal totem, maybe even the one that's assigned to me from birth until I die... and I guess it would be good as patronus. C:

@Rifle There is nothing wrong with choosing a doe or a deer. But if you are concerned about that, you can do a rabbit since they tend to be timid creatures. Mice and hamsters are the same way.

 A sheep. Quiet, timid, shy, follower. But smarter than others assume I am, and pretty tough when I need to be((ever heard sheep smash their heads together? It can get pretty loud and they just walk it off like nothing happened)). I'm also pretty sure that the HP patronuses weren't based off celtic signs. Hermione's is an otter, which is supposed to be like June 10 to July 7 or something when she was born September 19. Her's is an otter because it's JK's favorite animal, and part of the weasel family. ;D Ron's is a Jack Russell Terrier((which isn't even on the sign chart)) because they chase otters. Harry's is a stag, and he wasn't born in December/January... However, I know the wand woods were based off a celtic calendar...

I honestly have no idea. Mine would most likely be a deer (although I guess that's pretty cliché) or a horse, because I'm fairly quiet and I avoid confrontation, but I'm also very stubborn (which sounds contradictory but is somehow true. I don't start confrontations but I like to make my point understood). Although to be honest, I'm not sure if horses are considered to be intelligent in the grand scheme of things, and I would consider myself reasonably intelligent. Or a crow. That would be pretty awesome. Crows are very smart, and they stick around for Canadian winters =D Crows were the only thing keeping me company at my first year of uni during the winter (before I had made any good friends there). So yeah. Basically I don't know. I feel like there should be a personality test out there to determine your patronus/spirit animal. Last Edit by:

@Expert_Fieldmouse Horses are very intelligent creatures. They are strong, adaptable and are loyal and compassionate to those that they love. And while a patronus most often takes the form of your personality, it can change based on circumstances that have dramatically affected you. Tonks, for example, changed hers to a canine/werewolf to represent her love of Lupin. Last Edit by:

  According to the celtic animal birth signs, I'm a Salmon. I'm more likely to eat salmon, haha. x3 Although some of the characteristics fit me, not all of them do. If I try to picture my Patronus, I think it would be a bear or a badger. I have a temper, I am very protective of the people that I love, I am very emotional, I am very logical, think deeply about things, I am very solitary for the most part (although I enjoy being with a few people, but not a crowd)... stuff like that. I am really nocturnal, so I think the badger fits more than the bear. The only salmon-like thing about me is that I'm really super-determined, resilient and stupidly hard-headed at times. They're definitely loyal, but I think some of the horses I've worked with were a few bricks short of a load x) Although I suppose that happens with any type of animal. |

 A black panther. I'm powerful, aggressive, and at times intimidating (according to what others have said about me). I also wear a lot of dark colors (and I'm olive-toned with dark hair and really dark eyes) so in a way I kinda look like one too. x3

     My personality can be either a snake or an elephant, but my Patronus would be an elephant because those are the happier aspects of my personality. (Snape's Patronus was a doe, right? He's only sort of a doe, but the side that got along with Lily makes him happiest.) Elephants are wise but not serious; they have a lot of emotional depth*, but they're playful. They like getting drunk. They're big & will stomp on you or charge when threatened, but they're not carnivores. They're pack animals and seem family-oriented and "old" to me. Plus the only non-human language we've translated/decoded is one elephants use, and I'm very verbal. (*for ex, they will examine dead elephants' bones and sometimes carry them around with them, and are one of the animals that recognize themselves in mirrors.) @melnut Lol.  I can see myself as a giraffe because they're odd and tall and pretty goofy. :B Or maybe a rat. Because I think they're the most misunderstood animal of the animal kingdom.
