@Jayman yea, the Omen War definitely is when I became a part of the battling community as well. It was so wonderful to be embraced as a newbie and be provided with suggestions and tips. I had always been training but hadn't bothered to see how battling worked and everything.

I had totally forgotten about the weather changing, I remember that - it was the only time that I restocked during that war!

Oh, goodness, went through my old posts and basically all of my super old posts were in Advertising.
Also my old UN is really super embarrassing to look at.. (greyISHsilverISHwolf? what the hell was i thinking..)

I missed the Pirates/Islanders war as well because of a hiatus though

All this talk of the omen war is leaving me itching for a new plot. There probably won't be any battle fun until the revamp is over though?

I'm really hoping for Gelatins to pop up soon, at least! They always seem to come at the worst times for me. I had no internet for about four months last year so missed out on all of the Blake Steele plot, the Gelatins and had to battle attempt Morostide on my phone, heh. And I have to agree! Even though my pet was pretty small, the Omen Islands plot was definitely some of the most fun I've ever had on the site. I think the combination of the closeness of the sides and the ability to actually have an impact made it really fun.

I am really itching for a new plot as well, but I am hoping we at least get some gelatins released after the revamp is completed.

Yesss I would be so happy for a new plot, and even gelatins would be an awesome break to BQs everyday.

Also, I just realized that I always call GE General Electric in my head.. is that just me?

Plot plot plot -chant- 8D... or gellies. Those will do as well -has a burning need for concoction-

I'm also a member of the "I started caring about battling because of the omen wars" club. I'm pretty sure it will ALWAYS haunt me, how I only had one feebly trained pet/sporks back then. That stupid war and how much I failed at it is the main reason I train my legion. In hopes that one day... training so many skdjhfdfg pets will actually pay off. which naturally means it won't, because karma is a cheap hooker.

You know, I really really really wanted those keychain things for that reason. I would walk around and flash my Subeta bling and then people would notice and they'd be like "Omg you play Subeta? Me too!" Then we'd be bffs and party online forever.
Unfortunately, my keychains never arrived or my parents threw them out while I was at college or something.

The Pirate/Islander war really lit a fire under my ass. I was able to beat everyone but the top guys and I was like "NEVER EVER AGAIN!"
I got terribly frustrated because we were trying to get all these points and I didn't know if it was even going to be worth it because we had no idea what the prize were. That's okay tho, BECAUSE A GOOD PORTION OF MY POINTS WERE TAKEN AWAY WITH NO WARNING! (I nearly quit over that, still bitter, can you tell?)

It would be fun it something happened soon, but I don't really expect it. But not too soon, I have a goal I'm hoping to get to before this whole revamp is over.

While a gelatin war would be nice, I don't quite think I want one the exact second the full revamp is complete. I kind of want time to adjust to the new system and get used to any other new changes that come across as well as getting a good feel for post-revamp battling. As much as I want to fight Gelashell and Gelatin Golem again (I really should've gotten more wins than I did against those guys), I can wait it out.

While on one hand I agree with you @, the other hand is dying to try out my new battle set on some gellies and win some boosters. I know I need to wait but I dun wannaaaaaa XD I guess bqs will have to satisfy me for now.

I'm thinking the same as @MrCool and I want time to try the new BC, revamped challengers and weapons etc. I still hope they give us BETA TESTING for the BC Revamp so in that testing those small errors/glitches can be all sorted. I'd hate to see the BC revamped and there is still on going fixes

I have also made a few changes to my battle set since the last gelatin war and my stats have doubled since then too, but yet I am content with waiting a little bit longer. I am optimistic that the newly revamped challengers will be some good fun for a while. I kind of forgot about the stat boosters as Gelatin Golem achievement prizes, although when it comes to his regular drops, he very rarely drops that stat booster vial. Also, happy birthday.

Here's also desperately waiting for the Gellies - can't believe I am only at 700 smthg after all these years! But I guess it's mainly because of them being released in such limited numbers.

I have had my theory/hope, they'll use them as guinea pigs for the final part of the revamp.

My BQs have been letting me down big time over the last week - hardly any Prodigy appearances and the the rest has meagre output. Same for Shinwa

I have also trained up my other pets a bit since the last gelatin war. Now I have two tier 5 pets and one tier 6 pet in addition to my main pet. I am not sure what tier Gelatin Golem would be, but I am going to assume the low-mid to mid tiers seeing as how last time. he was just your generic hard difficulty challenger. Actually, I probably could have beaten him 10x with John Petrucci back then, but I didn't feel like taking a bunch of losses with him to get my wins in. Gelashell I kind of regret not trying too hard against. I remember the reason for hardly fighting him outside of BQs being that I was too lazy to remod my Ether and P-Staff with parched baguettes, but I could have beaten him at least 5x I am sure. Now 10x wins should probably be a cakewalk for me, assuming they don't seriously buff him or anything.

I also have been wondering, if they will "boost" all the challengers for a final time or leave them at the difficulty they were at.

re Gelatin Golem: all my small pets (without AP) were able to beat him 10 times, he wasn't exeptionally hard last time he visited us.

Yeah, I've been thinking there will be one final tweak just to bring everyone into line. I'm most intrigued to see what happens to the Morostide challengers - considering the amount of annoyance over the constantly changing Nightlady.

What I want more then anything right now, is to have some way to freaking organize my armory! I have pets in every tier except 9, and I'm constantly adding weapons and testing for the guide. I have almost 300 weapons in there at the moment, and even though it's really nice that I have options for all my pets for different situations, it's still a pain in the patooie to find the weapon I want in the hoard.

And see, I would rather have something exciting and time sensitive thing in order to test out the new battle system, instead of just going through and re-maxing on all the opponents ~~and secretly hoping that Afflicted can beat Mama Forj and Prodigy~~.

@jOanNE I would totally refer ALL the lazy college students, but sadly I am afraid that the site will crash or something and then they would be like "wtf".

I have those charms, they finally showed up like months later. They weren't what I was expecting at all and are sitting in a box on my desk. :/

Same here, too, so true. I only have 3 tiers (sort of, since I own none of the 2 tier12 weapons) but I hate having to either choose weapons every time I want to battle with the 8s or 7s or being forced to stick to trying with one pet over and over if I want to make use of the default set option (in addition to swapping scrolls around - after locating them...). Pain in the behind.

I'm still waiting on the Book Drive also. Isn't it normally out in the spring or is it competely random every year?

x_x also minus BQs I can't make much progress in battles at this time. Since the weapon Revamp I can't even beat Fish Breath in the BQs and I've maxed out all the hard oppoents, minus Mush who I still can't get to.

I'd really like a way to sort the armory as well. Now that most of us with more than one battle pet have to have multiple weapon sets in our armory it can be kind of ridiculous :/
I'd like to see a way to give each of our pets default weapon sets as well.

@
the book drive doesn't have any designated time when it comes out, but it's usually in late spring or summer because the staff doesn't like putting it with other events. So it will probably be awhile until we have a book drive again unfortunately
