newborn, children, family, individual, ect.

Im new to photography and will be putting a ad in the newspaper next week to give away a few sessions, and would like to get a website set up before then. I did a session with my sister a couple months ago after the photographer she booked canceled on her. Since then everyone has been nagging at me to give this a shot. Ooops, I forgot I did that, it should be fixed now

I know im not that good, but that comes with practice, and those pictures are the only session I have done.

Just added a couple here, just some random pictures I took last weekend while my best friend was in town

@KittenDoll how about Pure Perfection Photography? Just a suggestion. Since I dont really know you, I dont know what name would be appealing to you but that is something I thought of. I dont think anyone has that name.

I am a trained photographer who used to work in photo journalism and I think your pictures are pretty good for someone who is new to the business. Your lighting is a bit flat, but that can be worked on.

It is very difficult to suggest a name without knowing anything about your interests, location and future plans. I think you should look for something where you can find a corresponding domain name, so your surname is probably out of the question. Also make sure to stay away from trademarks and names that resemble competing businesses.

Maybe something to do with a local landmark, famous person or a tradition from your area. Like Deep Lake Studio, Pilgrim Portraits, Crabfisher Studios, somthing typical of your home town.

Thanks! I also have only had my camera since mid september? I found an old broken camera of my hubbys in august I think and started to get into taking pictures, so he surprised me with a shiny new one

. I plan on taking a photography class soon, I missed the deadline to sign up recently, hopefully that will teach me things I dont know. Im learning slowly though, like I recenly read an article on the rule of thirds and negative space.

Would you have any suggestions for studio kits brands? I have been looking, but I dont know what to go for.

Aww, thanks. I would love the Fluffy Suede Jacket. I missed the TS when it stocked, and it's been on my wishlist since.

I'm afraid I haven't got any equipment tips as I only ever did news photography, but you can do a lot with just one filler light and a sheet of white cardboard, and there are quite a few tutorials online.
It's also been a few years since I did photography, and things have changed a lot since then. I can't even use a digital camera

I really like @Retrochick1997 's suggestion, or maybe just "Yours Truly."

The first thing I thought of is a little too cheesy maybe - mostly because it is a song title.
"A Moment Like This" maybe a play on that would play out nicely...
