Mafia Round 15 - Uglies - Pretties win!

Current Happenings: The game is now over! The Pretties have won! #Mafia If you are a part of this game, it is highly recommended that you please join this forum group. It makes my job much easier and helps to keep players updated with ease. You will be pinged when we make transitions into day and night. If you would not like to join the group, I can ping you individually, but I'd much prefer just being able to ping one large group. Thank you! ---- "She's dead!" Someone's loud screaming broke the party up. Several people followed the lead of the voice and began to crowd around them. I pushed my way to the front, my eyes finally falling on a body, sprawled on the ground, her arms and legs in odd positions. She no longer looked like the perfect being everyone else around me resonated. My eyes shifted from the body to the ceiling. Ahh, she had fallen from a balcony on the second floor. "Everyone, step aside, this is a crime scene." Two blondes in front of me stepped tot he side, covering their agape mouths with perfectly trimmed fingernails. I bent near the body, recognizing the face. My eyes snapped open in recognition. She had been one of the Pretties my small group of Uglies and I had given a pill to. It had been a perfect setup. A large, long lasting party was being held in favor or who knows what. The day before this was to take place, a group of Uglies and I had received a shipment of pills that would transform the Pretties back to being competent and not, well, stupid like everyone else. If we could slowly pass them out during the course of the party, we would have more on our side. But we had run into opposition, the Specials. They could disguise themselves as we were doing as the insufferable Pretties. This meant we could not know one from the other and we had to take extreme care in passing around these pills. If the Specials found out who was passing them around, we would be goners, our mission failing. Now, the Specials were on to us. It was clear from this death. They were now trying to kill off the 'infected' Pretties to stop them from coming to realization with their controlling, shady government. We had so far passed out a load of pills with no suspicion. Now we would have to take care to find the Specials and destroy them before they ruined our operation! No one was allowed to leave the party until the Specials were weeded out and disposed of. Convincing the Pretties wouldn't be too hard...after all, party was their best known vocabulary word. ---- We will be running our operations during the day and night. Of course, during these two times, different things will occur: Day: Lasts 24 hours During the day, we will gather in a separate room off of the main ballroom. During this meeting everyone will be required to submit their votes to me as to who they think the Specials are among us. Everyone will be expected to vote, including all special roles, or else raise suspicions. Your votes must be in a code box in order to be counted. The code box is: [*CODE]VOTE HERE[*/CODE] – just remove the asterisks. At the end of the daytime period, unless they have been protected by the lawyer, the player with the most votes will be thrown into our holding cells, whether they are guilty or not. Once you have been thrown into the cell, you can no longer vote or submit actions for special roles. Night: Lasts 24 hours This is when the game will become interesting. All of the special roles (Specials, Surgeon, Smokey, Lawyer) will sMail me with their action for the night. Of course, for their action to count, they must BOLD IT inside the mail. Pretties and special roles: you may talk on the board, but please DO NOT discuss who you are going to vote out the next day OR special roles. Of course, the point of this is to find out who the Specials are in order to win. If the Specials kill everyone else off, they win and the city is corrupted. --- Seven Special Roles will rule the night. Specials: 3 -- or -- 4 of these The Specials are here to ruin our operations and keep everyone under their control. During the night, they will converse with each other and figure out who they want to kill. How you go about this is however you would like. You can let one person decide one night, all talk about who to kill, etc. Once you have decided, one of you must sMail me the username in BOLD letters at NIGHT TIME. Also, please come up with a means of killing your victim. It makes the updates exciting. Detective: 1 of these The Detective will be able to search out the roles of other members. During the night, they must sMail me the username, in BOLD of course, of the person they would like to spy on. I will then tell them their role in the game. If they so happen to find a Special, they must discreetly tell others who it is. The only way to go about doing this is to vote for them the next day first and hope others will follow in their path. But be careful, if they anger the Special, they may be killed that night! Surgeon: 1 of these These people must act out and save someone from being killed from the Special that night. They must sMail me with the username of the person in BOLD letters of who they want to keep safe. If that person happens to be the one who is going to be killed by the Special that night, they may stay safe as they are protected from the Detective. Smokey: 1 of these The Smokey's job is to kill someone at night, in hopes of killing a Special member. They will sMail me the username of the person they would like the kill in BOLD letters. Of course, they can only kill once every three nights. So: kill-wait-wait-kill-wait-wait-etc. Lawyer: 1 of these Their job is to protect one member from being voted out the next day. They must sMail me during the night, in BOLD letters, the username of the person they would like to represent and keep from being banished by votes. If that person happens to be voted out the next day, they will be kept safe by the lawyer. Crumblie: 1 of these The Oldie is like any of the Pretties, but when they die, they're not completely gone from this world like everyone else is. Oh no, they can come back to life up to three times to vote. In order for you to do so, you must sMail me the night before the day in which you wish to vote. If you do not, your vote will not count for anything. The Interferer: 1 of these The Interferer is a meddlesome citizen who likes to get in the way of people’s plans. A lot of times though, that can be a good thing, especially if they mess up the plans of the Special by inviting their intended victim out to the movies, or to go out to dinner at the local restaurant. During the night, they will sMail me with the name of the person (in bold) in which they wish to interfere with and the method in which they are doing so. Example: I invite Susan to go see The Legend of Boogeybear and then hit McDonald's for some fries. If Susan was the intended victim of the Special, she will be safe from harm’s way. Be wary though, you wouldn’t want to go gallivanting about the town with a Special. That may prove to be a rather dangerous situation. Pretties: Dependent on the number of members These people make up the majority of the game. While they have no special roles, they are what helps bring the Specials down. During the day, they must vote, in code boxes, for the person they would like the vote off. If that person receives the most votes, they are then banished from the game. Of course, you can NOT take back a vote or change it. You must make your decision before you post. Head Ugly: Me This is my role. I will be holding the meetings everyday of voting and will be receiving the mail from special roles. I will be telling the game as it goes. This is a hard role to keep, because you run the game. I leaned with my elbows on the table. After cupping my chin in my hands, I looked at everyone in the room. They all stared back at me with perfect eyes. Batting their eyelashes, I realized just how important getting rid of the Specials would be. We needed to keep our operations going and bringing people back to the light... "Alright, folks, are you ready? The clock is about to strike midnight in a few moments here and so everything will begin." I looked around the small group. "Keep your eyes on the lookout and we'll meet here again tomorrow afternoon!" It is now night time. Special roles, please sMail me with your actions! Whooop! Sorry for the short first post everyone, I need to get back in the gist of writing.

I awoke with a start, falling a short distance from the lumpy sofa to the carpeted floor. Breaking my fall with my wrists, I grimaced in pain. My body groaned and complained against me. Having to sleep in this tiny room was not going to be fun. Though set apart from the main ballroom, I wondered if sleep would come easily in the coming days. Glancing up at a large, golden clock on the wall, my eyes poppe open. It was almost noon. Sleep I had dearly needed and not having an alarm clock would be the end of me. At least I didn't have pajamas to change into. After quickly running my fingers through my frazzled hair, I smiled into the mirror. This latex skin and mask hid any amount of stress and perfected me. Now it was time to emerge. I opened the double doors leading out to the ballroom. There were already several people out there, leaning delicately on furniture or talking amongst each other. I glanced around. No one seemed to be acting strange, like a murder had happened. Had the Specials decided not to strike last night? I quickly flounced across the dance floor and rushed up the stairs towards our designated meeting room. It was almost time for our first session. All I had to do was count the faces...if one was missing, someone had been killed. But after everyone showed up, not a soul was missing. "We've come to a lucky start, everyone. The Specials have decided not to strike. Let's get to voting, shall we?" It is now day time. Everyone, please vote! Is anybody here? You guys are awfully quiet. Btw guys, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY to our dearest @Gryffindor! I forgot to mention it yesterday. Sorry, dear!  Oooh, and another thing: Previously known as Manhattan and Pipwina, what are your new UNs?
