@ Maybe if you tried to give it a more "feathery" look instead of each feather being completely solid? I can sketch you an example later, but for now, I would say look at the texture on the feathers on Veronika's page.

You mean like adding lines on the feathers? like the Fester feathers? I was sort of basing it off the Mallarchy, but I guess the Mallarchy art is kinda old XD

Do you mean the angle looks odd? Yeah I guess I should probably fix that. What about the wings? I wondered if it was rejected because of the right wing, and I wondered if I should have it go the other way (the feathers fan out left)

Yeah the angle might be a bit off. It looks like the feet aren't following the body entierely or something. Maybe you could try looking at some birds of prey feet (the way the toes are articulated right now look a little odd to me ...)

The wings mmm... I can't realy explain exactly what's wrong with them, but this is a very good tutorial that could definitively help you.

This is a lovely item and I almost took a slot(got so many things I need to pay for .... Ffff). I really hope it'll be approved soon

What do you think of this sketch? (messy sketch is messy)

The left foot will be covered by the HA head anyway, so I'm too lazy to make out the details XD

I guess I'm most concerned about the right (far) wing's angle. I think I'd like it to spread out the other way, but it won't fit in the image. If the angle looks weird, I might end up using the Nightmare Lain's pose as reference and bend the wing the other way?

First, I really LOVE the new left wing (it left). You really improved here. It looks much more realistic now. And the feathers already look least simplistic, which is a good thing!

I also really like the new feet. Again: it looks more realistic now! (And the angle is not weird anymore)

I'm not sure about the right wing though :/ I don't think a bird's wing can bend like that at all. Doing something similar to the nightmare lain would probably look best. It looks like the wing isn't connected to the body right now.

Tried fixing the right wing

I think the perspective is a bit off? ('cause I suck at foreshortening X.x ) But at least it doesn't look as broken anymore?

Maybe try folding the feathers? Since he's flying the feathers would probably bend a bit (I'll also help with the perspective since you'll be able to make the feathers look longer

)

the secondary feathers of the right wing are so distinct from the primaries, it almost looks like two wings that are close together. You might want to make it a bit more streamlined at those feathers' origins?

I also suggest amending the shape of the beak.

I think you have the right wing backwards. The feathers should face out towards the border, not in. For his tail (I'm not much into Pokemon so... I don't know what the tail looks like on it) to give it a more realistic spin, I would make it less bushy looking. Here are a couple examples of what I mean: Ref 1, ref 2, and ref 3. See how that, even though they have a lot of feathers as well as long feathers, it doesn't look bushy, but has more of a flat property to it? Also, with the foot that will be visible (although I'm unsure of HOW visible) I would work on thinning the whole thing and perhaps make it a little longer due to the size of the bird. Here are a couple references for that: ref 1 and ref 2.

I hope that helps. Always keep in mind; using real-life examples are always better than using other sources such as drawings, painting, etc. You'll get a realistic representation of what it is supposed to look like

The right wing is supposed to be showing the back of the wing. I kinda based it off this image, but I guess the angle looks wrong?

What about if I flip it around and show the inside of the wing and have the feathers point to the right like this:

I'd have liked to have it spread out more, but the image base isn't wide enough XD

As for the tail, yeah the original Pokemon's tail fans out quite a lot and is rather bushy. It looks like this. But I'll try putting a realistic spin on it

Thanks for the tip about the feet! The visible foot will be fully visible so I should probably put more details in it.

Ah, okay. I see what you mean about the tail. See? Told you I don't know Pokemon well Anyway, yes, the wing looks better. I actually managed to find a photo that reflects what I was sort of thinking about the angle: Click me. The reference you were using is more from a bird's eye view (haha, funny right? ) because you're seeing the back of the goose, whereas when you're looking at an HA it's more straight on. And also the bird you've drawn, you can't see the back, but rather the belly. Also if you're going for a more realistic spin to it, I might alter the feathers (?) on the head to look more feather like. I know the Pokemon has the swirly things as well, but with the aim of the rest of your piece, the swirls look a little out of place.

Woo thanks for the reference photo! I was googling "goose wings" and couldn't find one with the exact pose XD It'll help a lot with the foreshortening (which I totally suck at X.x)

hmm, you're probably right about the head feathers since I'm making the wings more realistic. Maybe something like the peacock's head feathers?

Definitely looking better. For the shading, however, you might want to pick a color, and just one color, to shade with, and make a palette from that color. The shading looks a bit grey right now. The anatomy, much much better. Perhaps just slim his foot/leg down a bit. Other than that, I think the anatomy looks 1000% better. Great job <3

Brown is a good choice. I'd stay away from blue though... blue seems to get rejected as being too grey as well. Purple could be a good choice as well. Purple shades well with a lot of different colors, so you may be able to get away with using just that even on the colored feathers.

For the coloured feathers, should I just use one colour (brown or purple) to shade them? Right now they're shaded with the darker version of the colour (dark red, dark green etc)

I'd play around with it a bit to see what looks best. Sometimes a single color will get the job done, other times you have to adjust a bit here and there. I wouldn't use a darker shade of the same color, however, especially with the yellow. You lose some of the color (which doesn't make sense much) when you shade with just a darker shade of the same color. If purple or brown doesn't work, try either shading with complimentary colors or a color up or down from it. So for yellow, shade with purple (the complimentary color) or with orange or green (the colors on either side of yellow). It makes the colors really come alive

What. It's a snake. Not Serperior.
You removed the secondary colors, changed the leaves on the tail (Serperior has three leaves on different spots and the tail ends with..no leaf.),
it doesn't has the markings nor does your companies has anything what would remind me of Serperior -
except it being a snake.

Honestly. It doesn't have 'hands', it doesn't have this big collar, it doesn't have the markings and it's a Glade.. thing.
There are already four changes, what do they expect you to do? Add wings and a second head?

It might be, what Serperior has a collar, not two leaves. The two leaves are coming from Snivy, and even then Snivys are yellow and not leaflike like you did yours.

You can appeal rejections actually.
Just resubmit and tell them the changes you made and that it isn't similar to Serpirior. At all. Maybe add the points I've given?
About the collar, markings, color, tail leaves?
The body size isn't the same at all, the color is different, you added a Subeta theme in there, the tail is different, the eye is different,
the collar is different (you don't even have a collar to begin with).

I feel kinda weird resubmitting it without changing anything XD So I made a subtle change to the angle of the shoulder leaves, so they can't complain about that at least
