The art is nice.. but he scares me.
I don't think I'm going to get used to this. x.x;;

No offense, but he seems more cartoon-y to me now.. I think it's the whole face thing.. the rest is fine, but what looks to me like a deranged psychotic creepy eye scares me to no end.

I'll remain loyal to him.. he just needs to stop looking at me like that o_o;;

I'm not a fan of the revamp because I like the other version more, but the art is nice.

I like the old Skitters better. If I knew he'd look like this I'd have chosen to work with Ecks.

Like others have mentioned, he looks deranged and psychotic. Like he's not even Skitters anymore. I'm tossing myself in the 'do not like' pile of Subetans who disapprove of this revamp. No offense to the artist at all, but I wish they change him back (or at the very least, fix his face.)

Maybe if the staff sees how much we dislike this revamp (basically his face) they'll listen to us users and change it. Or ignore us and go about their own business. It'll probably be the latter

Oh wow, I didn't even notice (I never pay attention when speaking to him) until I saw this thread & went to look.
He looks awesome! So much better! I've always thought he looked a little outdated

Don't get me wrong, the art is great. But I just prefer the old one, a lot of what the old one had doesn't seem to translate to the new one. And next to Ecks iunno.

Guess it will take time to get use to.

I'm with everyone who has problems with the face/head. He doesn't look like the same zombie, more like someone else dressed up as him or something.

The art is awesome, but they shouldn't have changed his face imo :/

I went to talk to him, and seeing the new art I expected the plot dialog to say something like "you approach to skitters with caution, something seems off about him," because I thought it was someone attempting to disguise themselves as skitters.

I also find the new anatomy of the arm a bit difficult compared to the old one,
but that might me because of his sewing skills - we'll never know! XD

I agree with what a lot of people have already said; the artwork itself is lovely and is definitely an improvement in quality, but it doesn't seem like Skitters anymore. Especially that face...

The old Skitters looked mean and like he was plotting something evil. The new Skitters looks kind of...crazy. I'm not really a fan of the face at all, honestly. I like the new art - the body looks great (the shading is perfect and I especially love the detail with the ribs and the fact that the rats are still there). I just feel like the face is a little too over-the-top crazy. I think he should look a little more...human. Even though he is a zombie, part of his appeal before was that he still had a more human look to him - not psychotic and bloodthirsty.

I don't mind it too terribly, but it might take a little while to get used to. Won't lie, when I went to talk to him about my new task, I was kind of scared when I first saw him

oh goodness, i don't agree with this revamp at all. he's got a more crazy, cartoony look. maybe i'm wrong, but i always thought of him as a very civilized zombie with impending speech problems, and this turns him a little into a random loony dead body that just got reanimated. i think the fact that his sly, glasgow grin has kind of been stretched into a really big, square, streak of meat instead of the usual along-the-cheekbone thing. and well i mean, the art quality is great: the textures to his body give it a really nice touch and i could say the same for the shirt. but i think that besides the psycho look and the crazy worm hair, the anatomy just really really bugs me lmao

firstly, shoulders do not just lump up like that right away; there's a gradual curve for the breastbone, and without it the left arm looks like a separate fake limb that was glued on. the rib cage + torso also should not curve into a perfect oval with limbs attached at the top, and rather there are muscles on the back that attach the arm to the body, which should give the torso an upside down triangular shape. that, and his eye appears to have drifted closer to the center of his forehead. unless subetan zombies are somehow exempted from being human and therefore don't need to understand anatomy, i'd get some of that stuff checked out next time. P:

i think i agree with most people here. i love the revamp from the neck down (except the worm in the bellybutton which grosses me out, but i know it was on the old one too), but its the face that im not a fan of. he changed from having a long, slim facial structure to having a wide, short, square one with a bigger (and misplaced) eye. tbh his face almost looks like a chibi version of him.

and for some reason i cant help but think this is what elijah wood (or the guy who plays travis on cougar town) would look like as a zombie. idk. it just doesnt resemble the old skitters at all face-wise, which is what makes people recognizable. people just look extremely different when you put a different facial structure on them.

just my 2 cents anyway.

I actually think the new one is quite awesome. I mean it really is mostly an update. If you look, all those worms and nasty things were on there before. You just didn't maybe notice it as much because the art wasn't as clear.

He really needed a revamp.

I feel like most people just feel like they lost something because they got attached to him (myself included). Especially this year when you have to choose between him or Ecks.

Though from the staff's point of view, it was excellent timing I think to revamp him right before we have to choose. I think some people are feeling less attached to him and therefore are choosing to side with Ecks.

I disagree 100% Staff should've left him alone. THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE OLD SKITTERS!!!! Why the hell did they have to go and destroy my favorite character on the site?!? XS

I don't find that up to date at all XS In fact, I find it the exact opposite. The art was superb in the old version. Skitters looked kind, intelligent, trustworthy and even loving. The new version makes him looked as crazed as Ecks sounds.
