I know I'm not the only one on Subeta going to the midnight premiere of The Hunger Games tomorrow night! It's going to be EPIC. It's also going to be crazy though. Because I have choir practice at 7-9pm, then I have to drive 30 minutes to pick up my friend who's going with me, then we're supposed to get to the theatre by 10pm at the latest so I'm just going to make it. Then the show'll probably get out maybe 2am at the latest? So I'll make it back home around 3:30-4 in the morning so I'll probably get to sleep around 5 or 6am, sleep until noon probably, then get up and go to get my hair done at the salon for the Celtic Woman concert I'm going to with the same friend Friday night. We're going to have a crazy couple of days! I hope we get seats for HG! There's another theatre not far away though, so we have a backup in case one gets sold out. But this combination of movie premiere and concert has me so freaking hyper right now, I probably won't sleep much at all the next few days. Oh, and did I mention during the day today and tomorrow I'm supposed to be across the street prepping and painting my neighbors' house so they can sell it? Someone give meh caffeineeeeee...

HG plans anyone? Cosplaying? Going apecrap? XD

I know Im the only one
at least on this site but having this move be PG 13 for the violence & everything that involves teens
While the Documentary film "Bully" gets a are rated slapped on it cause the Kids say "love" a few times
The MPAA should be ashamed of itself.

Enjoy the film
Ill never watch it

It being PG-13 honestly worries me. I think they aimed to keep it under are rated(otherwise a lot of the fanbase wouldn't be able to get in without parental supervision nor would a lot of parents let their kids in probably) so a lot of the violence stuff I'm guessing was probably taken out and replaced with.. 'implied' violence. Whatever, I'll see it when I can and I'm sure I'll still like it overall anyway.

It was very good! There were a lot of things they had to leave out for times sake but they kept most of the story from the book

It was still a good movie, but I worry about those who have not read the book. It was very vague and didn't explain a lot of the parts.

I really loved the movie. I thought some parts may have been confusing to those who hadn't read the books, but as a book fan I loved how much they stuck to it. There were a few changes but I didn't think they took away from the story much and everything looked pretty much how I imagined it, which was awesome.

I saw it last night and it was incredible but one thing that bothered me was that it didn't keep me on the edge of my seat.
The whole Hunger Games part was really rushed and didn't make me feel sorry or think that something bad is going to happen to them. And the berry scene was kinda disappointing. There wasn't a second when I thought they're going to die and I really hate that.

Other than that I enjoyed it and can't wait for the next one.

It was such a good movie! I went and saw it last night and it was so much better than I was expecting. And it was so brutal! Maybe I just didn't imagine everything when reading as good, but I actually found the level of violence in the film really surprising. Or at least what they showed/implied. I took my cousin who had never read the books and she was just going 'Omg!' when they were first placed in the arena because of the killing and all of the blood.

I honestly think I enjoyed the film more than I did the book! I'm not a huge fan of first person view in books. I still really enjoyed this one though. But they just did such a good job in creating the world that Katniss and everyone lived in. Again, maybe I just didn't use my imagination well enough, but the Capital and the people living there were really brought to life in the film.

Also, I don't know about anyone else, but the love aspect in the book seemed really contrived to me the way it was written. I almost felt like I was reading fanfiction or something at points and it kind of put me off. I really like how they kind of downplayed it in the film, but still kept enough to really make you feel for all three of them and the situation they were in.

So yeah, I just loved the movie and I want to see it again so badly! I'm reading Catching Fire right now and am really excited for the second installment in the films.

Honestly, this was one of the best book-to-movie adaptations I have ever seen! Everything seemed so right and well executed. I seriously can't wait for Catching Fire, I hope it's as good as this one.

@Kyradriel
I'm so jealous that you got to go! I wanted to so bad, but had to work it. I'm actually a little glad I didn't go, though; there were simply too many people there for it. People lined up for 5+ hours before the movie even started just to get good seats!

Planning to go tonight, though! I had to wait so long because I want to go with my sister.
