(Sounds pretty awesome! I love NERF, I do Zombie Tag as well as LARP. The concept of a plasma shovel is..pretty great.
I know a little about Alliance; the guy who made our javelins moved south to somewhere with an Alliance group, the jerk, and took them all with him. I've been pretty hamstrung without my ranged option, of late.
I've actually just found the ring lord, and I think that's where I'll have to get my stuff. Although my preferred material (brass, for that golden look) is a bit....yeah, dang. Tandy Leather Factory is a good lead! Now if you know an awesome foam supplier, my ascendency will be complete, and I can make a new flail and start kicking butts again.)

(For our foam we have been using camp mats and hose-cover-things which are good for handles, both found at Canadian Tire, along with pvc pipe for handle cores. However, I am not super familiar with your game's weapon requirements.)

@ Over here we also use camp mats and hose-covers. Some stores don't sell pvc pipes that are thin enough to make good weapons out of, in which case you could use bamboo as an alternative. Over here they sell bamboo sticks in garden stores. They are a bit more expensive than pipes, but just as light and sturdy.

Oh, and it's 11 a.m. over here. Nearing midday. I haven't slept. I would've read the PHB some more but I got sidetracked and then I tried to get my characters outfit done.
*yawn* Sketched in GIMP, threw some basic colors on it. She's the most unusual looking cleric I've ever seen and I'm propably going to remake it completely because I'm not that happy with her current outfit. I still feel as if she wasn't wearing enough clothes because I was going for an intentionally patchy and layered appearance and what I got was...a girl with an outfit out of The Last Airbender and insect goggles. 'Least I got her a name.

I don't get why they can't just start the Masquerade off. Even if they don't have new wearables ready yet, couldn't they just let us get started with the dancing so we can collect the trinkets? I strongly doubt anyone has all the items in both shops. X(

Something like 2.5 inches of padding on all 'striking' surfaces and no angles less than 90 degrees, pretty much. Basically 'won't bruise or go in eyes'.

You can use pool noodles or camp mats; I'm just a stickler for consistency and quality and I like a good, solid closed-cell foam, especially for a flat blade.
I've been considering internet-ordering some big polyethylene planks for that purpose.

Well, that's pretty awesome! I think Miss. Kierke looks cool, but if you aren't satisfied fiddle around with it until you are.

Oh also I meant to tell you that the game Matlal's Jewels is good for some starter money.

And then go do wizard quests c: Just be careful to never buy anything that looks too expensive. It won't be worth the payout xD
