What's this nonsense about not knowing how to dress for spring? You all look lovely! And I must say it is a relief to be wearing less constricting clothing after almost a month in corsets.

Do they do Graveyard pets for Morostide, if I'm following the pattern correctly?

@Rinoa
Well, that must be nice for you. D :<

@Cliodna
Awww, what a cute spring outfit! Very nice. :3

@Kiriati
Similar to you, actually- very overwhelmed.
Lots of work stuff, a fair amount of personal obligations...
Plus people have been dropping off dogs they don't want near our house again.
I'm growing to suspect there's a dog-fighting ring somewhere in the county, or something. It's terribad.

@GuardianAngels *drops the belts off her wings* Feeling awkward? You look nice. Green really suits your...complexion. =)

@Stormwolf3x *pulls on the dress some more* Just for your knowledge I regard the word ''cute'' in quite a similar way Rinoa does. *pokes you with a flower, then starts laughing* Nah, hunting is obviously a part of the livelier seasons as much as pigtails and fresh grass is. You look really good, you all do. Let me guess - the kitten is a bloodhound in disguise? =)

@WinterMoon007 Corsets constricting? Crossdress, like I did! I swear, men have it so much easier. No high heels, no corsets. *attempts to prance, to get into the mood of the celebrations, but fails miserably*

@Rinoa I think your previous one suited your skintone better, but you're an adorable spring fairy nonetheless.

@Architeuthis Are you sure you don't want me to lend you a flower hairclip or something?

===
On a completely unrelated note. I just spent four hours painting a single tree. I'm not even kidding you, I started before midnight and it's past 4a.m. now. Had to airbrush the tree, then make a grid for the bark pattern, then lightly shade the bark and then go over the whole area with a 1-pixel brush to create a pattern and smooth over the rought edges (or make more of them, to be more literal). The worst part? That tree was the first one. I'm drawing a forest. D= My brain hurts. (just thought I'd announce this since I have no Facebook for status updates)

Nah, I can find a flower hairclip if I want one.
If you have any fashion advice, for a vesnali outfit I would find appealing, I wouldn't mind having that.

@Rinoa
Mmm, I don't know....my problem is basically with pastels. I think they're colors for people who don't like colors enough.

I love colors as well, albeit, avatar-wise, usually fairly specific colors.
Pastels and other 'spring' colors often come across to me as washed-out, adulterated, robbed of intensity.
I like thick, saturated jewel tones, or rich, varied mixtures of hues within a single color.

I usually take the word 'cute' as an offense as well. *Laughs* Thank you, I may change into something a little less warm, but for now this will work. *Looks down at the kitten and grins* She's a pretty feisty thing, I think she could take down a deer on her own, *Snickers* My dog is actually around here somewhere, he likes to roam around though. I need to find him, I'll send the kitten off to fetch him. he has always been very protective of the little scrap of fur, for how menacing he looks. *Chuckles again and sets down the kitten, immediately it sets forth to find the big dog*

@Architeuthis How about white then? It's a very innocent and pure color and-
Alright, nevermind, I can't finish that sentence with a straight face.
...though I guess white would make a nice disguise? People would not even realize your true nature, until they get close to you and then suddenly SURPRISE - tentacle hug!

@Stormwolf3x What a protective little thing. And it could take down a deer? I suppose you've never heard of a certain fictional cat named Greebo, have you?
Hm, you know what? *tilts her head* Now it kinda looks as if your dog had a gun barrel coming out of it's mouth.

@Architeuthis But only if you want to. Well, I'm not really forcing you to take part of the event or anything. Not exactly, atleast. Just strongly recommending it. Then again, it's not like I celebrated Vesnali last year. I just clipped a little buttercup in my hair and went about with my day. @Architeuthis Dressing in flowers, collecting coins for the Vesnali shop and eating chocolate eggs.
Someone do correct me if I left anything important out.
I consider it a fairly low-importance event, but then again I visit this site for the Survival and the Masquerade (with a generous helping of Morostide) so anything that's not to do with zombies, aliens or steampunk is fairly low-importance for me.

I can't say that I have heard of it, whats he about? *raises an eyebrow at your next statement and looks over to the dog* Ah, crap get that outta your mouth! I can't set anything down without you running off with it! *Chases after the dog who runs away, the gun set firmly in it's jaws*

While the 'black' used for clothing and inks is indeed a color- specifically very, very dark blue, generally- in physics terms, black is the absence of color, while white is the presence of all colors- whence the phrase 'white light' and the accompanying action of the prism.

Not true, I say. My kitty loves to lie in the sun. She has black stripes and speckles and when she's basking, I can see little rainbows in her black fur if I look correctly. Not in her white fur.

Well, not having seen your cat I can't be empirical, but I'd say that the phenomenon you're describing is one that also appears on beetle casings and bird feathers- thin-film interference. The 'thin film', in this case, is most likely that of the oils that usually coat fur (and in humans, hair).

And no, you wouldn't really see rainbows in white- you'd see white. Unless of course your cat has prismatic glass or crystalline fur?

Also, and perhaps most importantly, the anecdotal evidence of your cat is not sufficient to make any conclusions contrary to established physics knowledge concerning the visible spectrum.

Well, no matter what the reason, it's purdy. XDD if she had glass fur, my hands would be shredded.

*shakes head* I don't follow the fancy words - I'm runnin on 5 hours sleep here - all I know is, when I mix paint, I get black (eventually). If I get any other color mixed with white, it loses it's white-ness. White - no color. Black - color.

@Rinoa
Because you're upsetting the balance, more or less. White contains all colors- therefore, adding just a little bit of any color tips the balance, and you end up with a progressively more pronounced version of that color.

Or try this lovely little experiment; all color is the result of light interacting with your eyes. Therefore, with your eyes closed, you would see an absence of color (because of an absence of light). Close your eyes. Is it white? Or black?

*teases* Le gasp! There are wings under those belts.
It has to be the tank top I got on. I never wear anything so loose.

So then......If I leave a canvas blank white, can I say I just painted a rainbow in the most purest form? *jokes*

I can't say a whole lot on the subject. I've always thought that black and white were color, just at different tints. Course, I work with a weird color palette since I work on a computer. In the physical realm, what @Architeuthis says is true. In the digital world, you remove all color to get white, add all to get black. Now..... Do we have any sodas here?... *goes to look for drinks in the back room.

It's true in the digital world, too. :3
A monitor is a device that emits light, if you want to get fundamental about things; specifically, it emits light in very small units, pixels, at particular wavelengths- in other words, colors; these wavelengths are the same whether they're reflected light from the sun, or projected light from a monitor.
Of course, for practical purposes, there are two ways to get black- either have a total absence of color/light- what color is a monitor screen when you shut it off? Or a very dark example of any color you like- this will be perceived as black.

I just like arguing sometimes~

@Rinoa
Try it in a dark room, then.

@Architeuthis
*comes back sipping a soda* I know that. I was referring more to the color palette given in programs when you color. Mine is set up so that you remove or add colors to get others. Remove all, you get white, add all, you get black. Even if you tweak something, remove all the green, blue, red, it will fade the object to white.

This is arguing? I thought it was polite debate? Would anyone else like a soda?
