Maybe this has been suggested years ago, but I'm going to march here, and say that it would be fantastic to have a pet species inspired by sea pigs, the blob-like pink sea critters with tube feet.

Just look at them! They can even inflate and deflate those appendages of theirs! Feast your eyes on that plumpness! That pink color! Don't you just want to touch that cutie pie?

^ this. i feel like it looks more like an experiment rather than a species, and i think if a similar species was released it probably wouldn't be very popular.

Oh god, we call guinea pigs literally 'sea pigs' where I live... XD

...I kinda like those more than the cute furry version though 8D There is a morostide hex that looks sort of similar to this (snail-like, mostly) so maybe it could be made into an Experiment pet, like #76166

Seapigs creep me out but they remind me a bit of the latest experiment. In what ways could you make it more unique?

That's a gread idea !

Regarding what could make it more unique from the rest of the experiment pets, I've been thinking about that. I don't think it should have a see-through body like #886 and #1102. Perhaps it could be more plump than the rest of the experiments, and have more exaggerated limbs (appendages that are bigger/smaller compared to the body). I don't know if it should be something that floats in the air.

Can't decide whether they're so cute that they're ugly or if they're so ugly that they're cute...

Regardless, I would like this as an experiment pet idea (: I'm sure the awesome artists we have could toy around with the design a bit. I just don't know if they'd be really versatile to make as an actual species since they're so simple.
