 Done By: JordanI am very independent. I live alone I love it that way. I started seeing a guy who is super clingy and teh independent inside is turned off by him but he is a sweetheart and treats me good. I am soo torn by him cause its not everyday I meet a good guy.

He may be sweet, but keep your distance. Clingy types will only get worse with time,and in my experience usually become possessive and insanely jealous of everything you do that the think you pay more attention to than them. If you can't handle that kind of smothering, back off quick- you'll never succeed in getting him to. |

lol yeah, as cliche as it is, talk to him and if hes willing to change it enough for you it should be good if not the toodles to him but! if it all goes well just remember it wont be without slip ups, he might step wrong and go clingy again ^ ^ all he might need is a friendly reminder When you find yourself falling into madness... @Design It's not every day. But he's still not Mr. Right. It sounds like he's got issues, all clingy people do, so you have to ask yourself if you want to get into his baggage and help him with it. Are you up for the challenge? Is he? If he doesn't want to change then you should leave him.
Like was mentioned, you have to be really careful. Clingy types are usually pretty manipulative. If you're at all the type who has low self-esteem or is overly empathetic..really keep your guard up.

@Design Best of luck. Good that it ended so quick. Saves you the spying and the stalking and the messy restraining order, and the cops at 3:00 am. Oh um sorry,that was one of my exes.... No really, I was over 30 before I found Mr. right, so don't worry about it. |

@Design My honest opinion would be to mention it to him. Obviously delicately, but just tell him how you are feeling. If he really is amazing and wants to be with you, he will do his best to make you more comfortable. Dont give in to spending every second with him, or texting him non stop. I did that once and I still havnt gotten away. Best of luck to you!

I mean, it's okay for them to want to be around you, and spend time with you. But there definitely is a time when it becomes waaaay too much. If they get to the point where you can't have a life of your own without him constantly on your ass.. RUN.
