Meh, its not like they killed the babies, they were already dead. I have a bigger problem with them using parts of endangered animals in fake medicine. I do feel bad for the people taking it who didn't know what it was, but odds are they knew what they were getting.

After reading "Yes, I ate my placenta" (warning... super nasty/graphic placenta pictures) I'm not surprised by a story like this. The woman cooked up her placenta and made tacos with it that she and her friends ate together.

That article really reads like a hoax. But I honestly wouldn't be too surprised if it actually happened. I have heard there might be some truth to eating the placenta to ease postpartum depression... but this is just plain stupid. Clearly China can't this loveing stupid and should be able to figure out this has no medical accuracy. From what I know, traditional medicine is dying out below the majority. And of all the things to use, they use dead babies?

I've heard some animals eat the placenta as well. I knew/heard placenta did good to your skin (like a rejuvenating cream or something), but didn't know about the PPD, LOL.
