A food thread over in the Chit-Chat forum reminded me that we seriously have NO delicious Mexican sweet bread items on Subeta. These are pretty much a staple for me and there are so many varieties of bread. Not only are the delicious irl, but many of them have really pretty and unique designs and they'd make awesome food items (:

Also, many of the names of these breads are obviously in Spanish, but the names could easily be changed to avoid breaking the rule of no foreign languages on Subeta. For example instead of Puerquito you could just call it "Ginger Pig-Shaped Bread".

It would be awesome for these to be sold at the Bake Stop, since irl there are entire bakeries just for these sweet breads. Picture/example time!

#1. Conchas

This is a picture of a white concha. But they also come in yellow, pink (strawberry), and brown (chocolate). It's basically a really airy, light dome-shaped bread with a design of hard frosting on the top. They come in a variety of patterns/designs and are really pretty. It would be cool not to just have the normal white one, but the entire variety of flavors.

#2 Puerquito (Gingerbread Molasses Pig Bread)

You cannot tell me that these aren't adorable. One of my favorite breads IRL that's characterized by it's fun pig shape- these would be neat to see on here.

#3 Ojo de Buey Bread

Basically it's flaky, sugary pastry dough wrapped around a sweet bun.

#4 Boleo

(Click for example!)

A plainer bread. It's really soft and can be eaten plain as dessert or you can make sandwiches, etc. with it. Can be sweet or savory depending how you make it.

#5 Other varieties

As you can see there's pretty much an endless variety of sweet, sugary, amazing-looking breads and I think it's about time we get some of these on Subeta c: like I said earlier, the bread names could definitely be altered so that they are still recognizable but don't tread on any Subeta rules.

Where I live, we also have some amazing sweet breads, and there's even one shaped like a fish and a squid! (This is apart from the Japanese analogues of the fish bread, since it normally has a tuna filling xD)

Duha loves ALL THE BREAD. It'll be awesome for her TC, and I'd be hoarding all those breads, since I collect pastry items D8

i only saw sweetbreads and thought this was a suggestion for literal sweetbreads
but either way yes please, more food is always perfect.

xD but really this would be an AWESOME idea!!
and their designs are so lovely that they would fit in just fine with all the lovely baked goods at the bake stop!

....now i really miss being back in mexico xP i used to eat these all the time. my mouth is watering

Hell yes, conchas are sooooooo good. When I lived in San Antonio, my mom and I used to go to this bakery in Market Square and get conchas to have for breakfast on holiday mornings - Easter, Christmas, birthdays, stuff like that. I love those things so hard.

Edit:

There are items with non-English words in the item names, I saw one earlier. Wish I could remember what it was :/ One example is the pet Chai - Chai is also the Hebrew word for life/living.

And more aptly

contains a German word so I don't see why they would need to change the names of these pastries!

Oh god yes please. Conchas are so pretty, I'd love to see those at least on Subeta. I almost regret looking at this thread because I want all of this and don't have any of it.
