so i decided to try my hand at coding and with help from @ and helpful threads i created Kynthia's profile! (she's my zap-rat btw)

the TC will scroll automatically when it has about three rows (...that's the plan).

it's quite simple but i thought that would be best for my first go at it. i hope it works in other browsers. i'm using chrome and i looked at it in firefox and it seemed fine, it was a little bit off when i looked at it in safari but not drastically. and uh idc if it works in IE or not...

what do you think? n_n

Well dear; looks like we aren't done yet, sorry to say
this is how I see it and it's because you, um, centered the background so where it actually is depends on browser and resolution. But content stays where it is. I have no idea if it's going to be simple or annoying to fix tbh, depends on how attached to centering you are, I guess... I assumed you weren't done positioning everything, that's all.
Can get back to you in the evening if you don't solve it on your own or nobody else better comes by P=

Anyway, I like this profile, you know! I like the simple ones c:

@ oops! thank you for letting me know. nah i'm not super attached to it being dead centre. i'll try and figure out a way to fix it but if i don't i'll let you know. and thank you!

@angst thank you for the suggestion! but um , could you explain a bit more? like as in left:#px top:#px sort of thing? i tried it on the background but it just sent the bg up into the corner.

yes, see you'll need to change the graphics by adding more space on the far left in the same background color.

OR (if you're up for the coding work)
Actually, since the background is barely anything, you might as well make different div's for each color column and keep the white part as #content
much like I've done for my pet contemporary'

note: the problem with centered can be viewed when you change your own window size. You'll see how the background moves, which you don't want to happen.

Hey there! c: I happened to come across this thread, haha. lD
I'm currently using Google Chrome, and this is how it looks like. It seems that #column_2, #pet_treasure, etc. are in a fixed position, but whenever I resize my browser, the background changes. I think you should make the background-position "top left" and not "center center", because there are different resolution sizes with different "center center"s, whereas there's only one "top left" for all resolutions, haha. I hope that makes sense. lD But if you make it "top left", you're going to have to add some purple space before and on top of the background so it aligns correctly with the pet information, like this one I made. lD It should work, haha, and you're free to use it!

Other than that, I think your profile's pretty good! c: I'm a sucker for simple profiles, haha. lD It's not bad for a first try! However, I do suggest making the text a bit bigger if you plan to let it stay as a serif font size 6. It's a bit hard for me to read, haha. You could probably put line-space or letter-space to make the words clearer, but it's really up to you! c: If you want to make it fancier, why not add hover effects on images? 8D Hope this helps!

@ thank you so much! it seems to be working rather nicely now. when i resize my window some of the content jiggles about a little bit but not drastically. i decided to change the text-transform to lowercase and make the size a little bigger + letter-spacing (i can't believe i forgot to do that, i love letter-spacing). here it is now!. and thank you! i think i'll try working on a slightly different profile for Horne next and i'll give the hover effects a try. n_n

Everything looks wonderful! 8D Great job on this! Don't worry about the jiggling, though! Whenever I resize my browser, nothing seems to change, so it's good. c: The lowercase & letter spacing made it easier on the eyes, too. c:

haha i was going to tell you to make the font a bit bigger but realized my screen had been resized while i was away XP
anyway, it looks pretty good! i like simple profiles but i have no skills to make my own :/
