 I really like the way the page is now, except for this.I understand my browser is smaller, but my pets are so tiny they're almost the same size as the minion. And then there's a good inch and a half of white space just chilling off to the side. And if I make my browser full-screen, then the white space just gets bigger. That empty useless space really, really bothers me.

But @Keith, may I make a couple of suggestions ? 1. Could we add the number of alchemy points, books read, and food eaten to the drop down, similar to how you added in the number taken/available of the treasure chest (thank you, SO much, for that). 2. Could we add species, color, gender, and a link to their profile under the health and hunger bars ? There is enough room between the bars and the other basic information. If not under the bars, somewhere ? It's just more convenient (which is the point, correct ?). I was going to suggest the treasure chest change and adding a link to the profile before... But after whomever made that confession I thought I would add a bit more to it.

Drop-down menus are a little annoying, yes, but I find that the page looks much better-organized now! Does the new changes mean the site won't be disable friendly anymore? I will miss that. That's part of the reason I stayed here all these years because the site layout worked for everyone. I thought the pet page was perfect the way it was. I hardly recognize this site anymore. I've seen a lot of changes over that past 7 and a half years. I've stood by this site because it's one of the best fun pet sites there is online. It will take me awhile to adjust to all the new changes and see if I can adapt to the new subeta style. The artwork is amazing. It's the drop down menu thing that doesn't always work when I click on it XD. Overall great job

 I honestly don't like the change. It looks...I'm not sure...childish to me? I don't know. Maybe it's the addition of flashy colors and bigger buttons. Maybe, unlike the crappy news page update, it will grow on me though.I miss the pet rank thing tho.  When I would train my pet all day, I would get a little giddy when the rank went up. :BAlso, can we get an option of rearranging our pets? I would like to be able to put them back in the order they were  or at least put my favorite at the top since it's the one I interact with the most.

 I don't like it at all. I miss having all of my links and information in one area. The pop-up menu is annoying and, as @DarkFireFox said, the colors make it look kind of childish. And I hate that the pet images are smaller and blurry. I'm not really sure what the bars in the top right of each box are supposed to be, happiness and hunger or something? The fact that things aren't labeled is frustrating. Also, I find the white-on-grey-on-white of the boxes extremely annoying. And the large, thin fonts are ugly.I feel like the new pet page is focused more on the battling aspect of pets, which isn't surprising since subeta has been trying to push the battle system on its members lately. I personally don't care for it; I'm more focused on profiles, TCs, books, etc. Anyway. I hate what subeta is doing to the site. The boxes and the off-centeredness are really getting on my nerves, and I'll probably end up leaving if this happens to the entire site. It looks unprofessional and cluttered.

I'm sorry if this question has been asked before, but where is the battle link? It seems very difficult to access the page which shows a pet's battle items... the page where you can see which potions or one-use battle items a pet may be holding? Not sure if you understand what I mean, but it's the page that normally displays Pylonics, Throwing Vials, and Potions.
And how do we find out the pets gender? >__< Not that it's important or anything, just a little lost and would appreciate the help. |

 @DarkFireFoxThe pet rank is still there. It's the number in the little blue box at the top right of each pet's box. This is assuming you don't have any custom CSS to change it, of course. You can also change pet order by clicking the heart bubble icon at the top of the page. @Spirafall I think for now the only way is to go through the Personal dropdown menu, hover over pets, and click the pet link there. Man, that's confusing to explain. xD Oh, and to find the gender, I think you have to view their profile. I can't think of any other place that displays it. @buffalo You can hover over the bars to see what they are. Top one is hunger, and the bottom one is happiness. c:

 There's a "View Profile" link now. I applaud receptivity to user feedback.If you're using the CSS I posted, you'll want to replace Code: .well .dropdown ul .divider:nth-child(6) { visibility: hidden; }(down at the very bottom) with Code: .well .dropdown ul .divider:nth-child(7n) { display: none; } and then it was that millicent frastley

      Augh, each change keeps messing up my coding. At least it wasn't too bad this time and didn't destroy the entire thing like last time. Anyways, I believe this is all of the coding that's relevant. I want the TC and View Profile links visible. TC used to be visible. Anyone know how to fix it? Code:

When there are big images and zero text to indicate what/where things are, I assumed that, like a thousand other sites/programs that use big pictures to navigate to more specific detail, clicking on the pet image would take me to the foods eaten, books read, etc page. I didn't realize until about 15 tries that clicking on the pet changes it to active, and none of the header buttons navigated to where I wanted to go. So incredibly frustrating. It wasn't until I intricately examined the page that I found out the teeny, teeny, tiny, nearly unremarkable, extremely easy to overlook little square block icon that looks more like a mac power button than anything, is actually a DROP DOWN LIST. It's like someone designed it to deliberately be as easily missed as possible. Could it be any tinier or more anonymous? How about some text, please, or a bigger icon to indicate where the information we care about is? Currently, that page is pretty much a waste of space. I don't care about health bars, etc. I want to know what my pet's eaten and how strong it is.

My biggest problem however is the accessibility nightmare this site is becoming, drop down menus are the devil's own in this respect, especially when they're unlabelled and have a 10x10 pixel click zone to access. The hunger/happiness bars could also use a static label rather than more hover text. The pet page is somewhere I go for quick info, often on more than one pet and sometimes indeed to compare pets. As it stands getting even basic info about my pets is time-consuming and cumbersome. |

Previously the user Wailord @ShortAxel She did, but with the addition of the View Profile link, some of the values have changed. =x Where I had the link for giving a pet to a friend blocked and the TC visible, the TC has become blocked and giving a pet to a friend has become visible.

 Thank you for adding those, Keith! So happy.I'm generally as anti-change as everyone, but on the whole, I actually like this change. I like that my pet page is squishier, and that I only have to see information like the link to my pet's book list when I'm wanting to see it. And I love the bars to show how hungry/happy my pets are. Very pleased all around. |

Changed the pets page again.. I think I'm going to stop messing with the css for it until something or another is more set in stone. Just an option though, could we have.. I don't know, a toggle between seeing the dropdown menu items all the time where the pets stats used to be, and vice versa? Since I don't touch the battle system it's kind of redundant.

Is there a way to remove this? "You are using 14 of your 9 pet slots. Buy more?" I'd don't need another annoying constant "GIVE US MONEY" ad on the pets page now that I've got the leash link removed. XP Also now my links are overlapping on top of my pets and all of the ones with the overlay code are cut off. I'd love if the pets page would stop getting screwed with, because this constant changing it is a lot more frustrating than it just changing once with a few tweaks within a week or so. Its been almost a month since this started. Please stop changing it.

 I couldn't care less about the 'you are using...' text but the 'progress' bar that goes with it annoys me a great deal >_< What is it even for? Do we get it for TCs next? xP I't just not...legible, just reading it black on white is much much easier than remembering how many slots might so and so space mean. @ShortAxel As I've said multiple times on this thread, we do not support your CustomCSS. We are going to continue making changes to the page, and we do not take your customcss into account when we do that.

 The status bar for the pet slots is annoying, tacky, and serves no purpose. With the text right there next to it, who is honestly going to look at the bar and go "hmmm...I wonder how many slots I have left if my bar is only filled X full?". I just don't get it. Now I do like having the slots mentioned on the page. It was always annoying having to go to your Preferences page to see how many you had. I don't even mind the button to buy more, it makes it very easy to do just that. I just don't get the status bar. Anyone know how to remove just the bar?

I agree that the status bar is redundant and I wish it would go away.Also, I like the text saying how many slots we have/are using, but I wish it were somewhere else on the page. Like the bottom. Or at least center it.

 I would still kinda love it if the bars had something in them instead of relying on hover to find out what it is. Being a battler, I instantly think it is Health.... twice. I think it would be more new-user friendly to have the text within the hunger/happiness bars instead of on the hover.

If you've made the bars narrower or otherwise altered them, you may want to make the text smaller (with "font-size") or adjust its positioning (by altering the values for "top" and "left"; you may need "top" to be negative). back the world
