This is the last suggestion I'll ever make... well, I can't say that's for certain, because nothing is ever certain.

anyway, I'm SURE this has been suggested before, just can't find any links to it.

I was looking at my profile comments and trying to find a certain comment and have to go back through the pages in order to find it. Frustrating.

I think it would be a fantastic idea to have some kind of search feature where we can search for a certain user's comments, it will pull up all the comments they have made with you before the 6 month purging.

I cringe at flying tomatoes so go easy on me please.

You can actually do this now, but it's kinda a pain. Just take this, which is a P2P between you and me, and change the last bit to the userID of the person you're looking for. Which, unless you have it memorized, you have to track down their HA and drag it to the address bar to get it.

Like I said, a pain. I think that page could actually really use a search function, and I look at ^that as a temporary get-by.

How specific would the implemented search be? For instance, if you're searching by user that you sent it to/sent it to you, it seems like all it's logically going to be able to do is bring you to the P2P page and you'd still have to scroll, and that's already what I generally do when I'm looking for things and I know who it was with.

It would be them sending it to you. I think if we wanted to see the P2P we would just click on the P2P link once we have found the user's comments to me (us). I think if it searched for the comments you made back would be too much. Just a simple search for a certain username's comments.

You've just gotta find their HA somewhere, and drag it to the address bar.

I don't know if there's another way to do it, but that's the one I've always used.

a bit of a hassle, like you said, but it'll do for now until they implement a search feature.
