As a single lady I'm curious

How long have you been single?
Do you enjoy being single?
Do you have anyone you would like to be with?

I've been single for almost a year now, and it's weird...
I did enjoy it but it's gotten to a point where i just kinda feel unwanted. I've done the whole "enjoying myself" and kissing whoever i want ect - but it kinda wears thin :L

And i have no prospects at all atm haha,
not a single guy i'm even talking to.

Well okay, I /just/ got in a new relationship (answers number three), but was single for a fair time before that.
I was single for 6 months, that being the first time I've been single for real since 2006.
I quite enjoyed it, actually. It was really scary at first, leaving your man of four years that you thought you'd marry one day, but fortunately I have really supportive friends and the break-up was very much needed for the both of us. I haven't really gone out and "hooked up" or anything, I've just finally been able to enjoy the attention of single dudes (not that there has been much lol, but whatever I got felt good).

For 99.9999999999999% of my life. There were three months where I was together-but-not-together with this boy in grade 8, but that was it. I've never had a relationship with anyone that went beyond friendship. I do enjoy being single, and it hardly ever bothers me. The only downside I can think of is that moment where I have to say I've never been in a relationship to a group of friends that have already had a few. I'm not seriously interested in anyone at the moment - I'm content with eye candy.

Most of the time, yeah. A lot of my previous relationships were really stressful for me - not always because of the other person, but my 'issues' etc kind of deem me a fail at what would be a healthy relationship or whatever. Although sometimes when I see a cute couple I think "awww, I want someone" and start daydreaming about finding ~the perfect girl~ ;P I don't want to be single forever haha.

Haha, yesss There's this guy... and he's in a band... and he's not that much older than me.... He's a total sweetheart, super cute, but I'm not the only girl who wants him, obviously! Since well, he's famous and all... But he likes me, and I was engaged to him on Facebook for a day, haha! *fangirl* /dies

@ - I have been single for four years, and just started dating a guy within the past few weeks. I like being single, but... it grows tiring. I'll probably be single again, though as I like him. He's not mr right, but he's mr right now.

I've been single all my life. I'm only 16, I know... but I sometimes just really hope I had a boyfriend. I had a huge crush on one boy for about 4 years, but didn't do anything about it. Now I've finally gotten over it... I do have interest in a couple of boys, but I'm not sure if I really have a crush on them or if I just want to get to know them and become friends. If I really start to think about it, being in a relationship actually seems kind of scary.

But like Diamond, I'm not really looking for that kind of relationships at the moment. Mostly because life right now for me is stressful and I personally think it would just add to it. ...There is one person I wouldn't mind being with maybe in the future but certainly not right now. xP

I wouldn't say I enjoy it, per se. I guess I just don't really mind it. I'm not actively searching for a relationship. I'm just kind of... going with the flow, and if that means being single, I'll be single. If I somehow land myself in a relationship, that's cool too.

Like I said, I'm just kind of living life and waiting for something to happen naturally, but there is a guy that I'm pretty into. He's shown a lot of interest in me, so I guess I could see myself being with him. Idk.
I really wouldn't even know what to do with a relationship. haha.

Heck yeah, I do! Just the thought of having a "significant other" thoroughly disgusts and frightens me. I seem to lack the natural human desire for companionship.

Nope. I am looking forward to being a hermit my whole life. I have plans to get myself a big-ass dog that will scare off any possible attackers/burglars, and then everything will be great.

Do you enjoy being single? Yes and no. My mom and sister both have boyfriends, so it can be a little hard sometimes. I get really depressed and feel like a third wheel. Other times, I recognize that I can be a little hard to get along with. For reasons like this, I have, for years, come to terms with the fact that I may not find someone. Sad as that is, I am okay with it, because I have recognized the possibility for years. I'm open, but at the same time, closed, if that makes sense. Most say that I am negative, and they are completely right, but at times, I simply refer to it as being "realistic". I have been disappointed so many times in my life that I just brace myself early now.

Do you have anyone you would like to be with? In my mind? Yes. *cough*BIGBANGmembers*cough* In reality? Yes and no. I told a guy I liked him, but he said he wasn't ready so... yeah. Probably nothing will come of it because such is my life. xD

I have never dated. It is not because I do not want to. It is just that I have not found the right person. I would like to go out with a sensitive kind romantic. I know some are gagging or rolling your eyes reading that, but I can not help that is what I like. I am that way myself so it makes sense I would be attracted to that.

Eh, I don't even mind -too- too much , however, I must admit to being a bit lonely. I'm in no rush to get into some relationship that will mean nothing. I guess I just need to find someone I really connect with.

Mmm, no not really. I'm terribly terribly shy, I actually have a social anxiety disorder. So...I don't talk to a whole lot of guys, and therefore haven't gotten to know anyone well enough, or connect enough with to even consider a relationship.

I'm in a relationship now, but before I got with my boyfriend I was single for 2 years and 8 months. I enjoyed being single because my past boyfriends weren't anything special, but I can't imagine being single again now, because I've met not just a boyfriend, but a best friend.

I have an on and off relationship with my boyfriend, so when I'm single, I'm single for like a couple of months. I can't really say that I'm happy with that situation but I just can't let him go. But there was this one guy I totally fell in love with when i was single, but it turned out he just used me and wanted me only as a friend with 'benefits'. :/

As for enjoying being single. Yes and no... sometimes I like the fact that I'm single and then sometimes I don't. It kind of really depends on my mood usually. Most of the time I don't really care though. I'm not in a hurry to find anyone so it's never been a huge deal to me, but I do tend to get somewhat depressed around couple holidays.. Valentines day, I'm looking at you.

I'm not the most outgoing person( I'm usually pretty introverted though I can small talk and all that stuff) so I usually don't actively try to find anyone though, and the whole club hopping and bar hopping scene kind of scares the bejesus out of me just because I usually don't like overly crowded places. I also rarely drink so there's never been a reason for me to go bar hopping anyway.

The other issue tends to be that with a lot of guys I like I end up becoming the friend and then I end up getting friend zoned more often than not and it kind of just stays that way until I no longer have a crush on whichever guy I had a crush on at the time anymore.

I've been single for about a month now. I came here after I broke up to distract myself and have fun.

I've enjoyed my freedom and stuff, and not having someone grabbing me every second (I hated that! And trust me, I told them to knock-it-off and they didn't, so I ended it), but since I broke up I got asked on two dates by two different friends, and another one has been really... friendly lately... It's kinda driving me nuts.

Yes. In my mind. And logically, the guy I want does exist--there's probably about 500 or more guys in America that fit what I'm looking for, and even more on this planet. So, I'm waiting til I find one of them. I'm determined.

I've been single since December, about 7 months (almost 8). I'm finally over him, it was a 2 year relationship and it ended pretty rough.
Do I like being single? No lol. I hate sleeping alone, and I love all the little things about a relationship, like being able to be blatantly honest all the time, taking care of each other when you're sick, sending cute text messages, leaving notes, cuddling, sharing stuff, etc. And sex omg. ):< I function better as a unit than as a singular... whatever lol

And as for the last question, yeah. I have a big ol' crush on my good friend, which both sucks and does not suck. We had a FWB situation for a while but we both struggle with depression and he called it off because he wants to get his mental stuff sorted out before we go any further, which is good. Neither of us are stable enough to be in a relationship right now and I'm glad that he could acknowledge that, because otherwise we'd end up like this other friend I have who is in an awful relationship. Anyway, since we stopped sleeping together I kind fo feel like he's not interested in me anymore, but he also might be acting that way on purpose. idk. I hope he asks me on a date sometime in the future though because he's amazing and also really super cute ♥ but even if he doesn't he's still basically my best friend right now so it's not like I'm missing out. I'll miss the sex but other than that, I can deal with being single, haha. I don't have to feel guilty if I have a class with some super hottie or something.

I must emit like a mass aura of 'innocence' that screams to boys that I won't let them have sex with me no matter how much convincing... and it seems like thats what 90% of guys want to do in a relationship when they're in highschool.
I mean like last year i was kinda of in "a relationship" but the damn guy never too me out on a date... not even on valentines day! the ass wouldn't even eat lunch with me. so it was one of those things that i don't really count as a relationship.

To put it this way, if I had to marry any guy that i have already met in my life right now whether they're single or not I know who I would pick. But unfortunately he lives for away.. I only get to see him in the summer and ever time i see him he's in a relationship. my luck eh?
but other than him.. I don't really know.. I'm not close with a lot of guys... and by close I mean there are no guys in my friend group and at my youthg group everything feels like brother and sister. .. and i'm not attracted to anyone there atm.

I've been single since January this year.
It was tough at first because I used to spend every waking moment thinking of/talking to/seeing the guy I was with. Now, I enjoy it in a way. I like the quietness and the peace of mind. I also feel more free to do the things I want to do. My ex was very controlling and I hardly had time to do what I wanted. He pretty much carried me around like a doll. It feels good to be able to make yourself happy without the presence of someone else. I wouldn't say no to a potential relationship right now but I don't find it as necessary as I used to.
There's a few guys that have my interest, but I don't know what will happen. I'm really just going with the flow, making friends and having fun. And whatever is meant to happen will happen.

I wouldn't say that I 'enjoy' it, it's normal (for me). I'm totally fine with not being in a relationship, if that special person comes along, I'll also be okay with it.
