Don't have any names to stalk for the clearing on the 23rd?

Recently, we decided it might be a good idea to create a list of names that people will be freeing up. It's kind of like the Available Real Names thread, except it's more like, "soon to be available names." Keep in mind, this is not a place for a list of names that you know will be clearing! It is a place for the names of pets that the owner is renaming, in the event that he or she would like to make it known to anyone who may have been previously stalking the name.

You may only add your own pets' names to the list.

If this is somehow against the rules, please do lock it, but since the available real names thread seems to be alright, I don't see why this would be an issue.

@ @ @ - Help me!

I'll start the list off by saying that the following names (if all goes according to plan, which it may not!) will be free after the clearing on the 23rd. Names that have been freed up will be added to the Available Real Names list if they remain free in a week. Since the names are likely real and sought after, I don't want to go editing the list just to edit them out again in a day or two.

I think alphabetically is probably the best idea, I know I personally have a strange addiction to 's' names XD so I'd be stalking those sooner or later.

Depending on how the clearing goes for me, I'll be renaming these two pets:

Kangster
Gildeon

and I may be renaming Spyglass and Oregano, depending on if any nice names are still available. c:

Miroslava a slavic name (I think) meaning peace and glory got freed up.

This list is such a great idea! So in love with the name Pjotr atm, sadly I don't have any free slots.

It's just two words (mir (peace) and slava (glory)) put together. It could be perhaps "peaceful glory" (doubt that) but not "all hail peace". The latter could be appropriate for Slavomir but not sure.

Okay, so maybe it's just me but that's how I've always seen these names, that they work like a sentence mashed together in weird order.
Kinda like Bogumil, 'beloved by/to God' and Bozydar 'God's gift', they don't work in that order either ...or 'Boguslaw', for that matter. I mean to me God+glory makes less sense than 'God be glorified' (worshipped/thanked) [for giving us this precious child jadadada] does

...or maybe they were just devout Christians like that. All right, it's hard to tell

thought the fact that technically 'Bozyslaw' exists as well might be food for thought

I don't know I just write what Google tells me XD but thanks for the info.
I kind of have to agree with Sapphira, I always though of names like this reading as a sentence, probably because my name does XD "Gift to man kind" or "protector of man kind" (Greek anyway, which was the intention behind my name, not sure about other variations).

Some of them do but it depends on the name or in what case the words are in the name imo.
Both Bogumil and Bozydar aren't mixed and if separated (bogu mil (dear to God) and bozhy dar (God's gift)) create a phrase, so I wouldn't really compare them to Miroslav.

And Boguslaw is more like glory/fame to God.

But I haven't studied/looked into the whole history of medieval Slavic names, just know a few languages. xD
