Mystery Box

"We have it set to pull a random holiday item, there is even a chance for retired items from holidays past popping up... "

I have pulled out over 50 items from this Box and only 2 of them was not Wrapping Paper/Gift Box/Gift Wrap. In what way is this box random? Please either rename it as a Gift Wrap Dispenser or actually give some randomness with the range of items given.

Parenthood is defiantly hereditary. If your parents didn\'t have any children, then chances are you wont either.

Well there's no holiday going on now, so all that's restocking in the Holiday shop is wrapping paper. And of course the chance to get the retired ones is pretty low.

Most people just ignore the mystery box until there's a holiday, and then it serves its purpose.

Then why are the Gift Cards not turning up in the same proportions as the Wrapping Paper?

Well, at a quick glance, there are currently 34 different kinds of wrapping paper instock, and only 3 greeting cards.
So if you pull one at random from that, you only have a 3/37 chance of getting a card.

do you mean the greeting cards? It's probably because there are a ton of gift wrapping stuff only a few cards.

I am in no way trying to be insulting, but I laughed really hard when I read that. xDD

I also find that the mystery box is a bit dull. Perhaps it could be spruced up a little in the future? I personally have no incentive to use it, despite liking games of chance. Maybe any item that ever stocked in the holiday shop could have a chance at being pulled, at a slightly higher rate than it currently is? Just to give it some variety without making item prices plummet?

Sorry, but having to defrag umpteen gift wrap paper after going to the mystery box for the Drill Sgt, I had to laugh also. The mystery box is really great when there IS a holiday and you can possibly get some nice holiday items. REALLY terrible at other times. Perhaps simply not request the mystery box be used unless a holiday?

I meant the greeting cards...

We could have more birthday items in the the Mystery Box/Holiday shop when there is no seasonal event on. People have birthdays all the time on subeta (though only once each per year). We could have the Happy Birthday Cards brought back or new ones so we can give people cards on that day or maybe even Birthday Balloons or Cakes with candles on.

I like this idea. More birthday stuff would be fantastic and maybe rotate the birthday stock to keep it from deflating after stocking year round.

We could also have Wedding cards and Congratulations cards. I feel that this market is untapped!
When a friend gets married or has some other event, it would be fun to give them an appropriate card.

Yeah but how long until those things are worthless as well? Why not just get a wrapping paper, send a heart plushie and write your congratulations in the gift? I dont think the MB needs more items that are basically useless except for once in a blue moon. I don't mind the wrapping paper because I hoard it for Xmas and I certainly don't want even more items in the way of the holiday wears that I can get during events.
