i think there should be more than the pet spotlight and potion lottery.

one idea could be an HA contest, maybe weekly. people could enter and then vote on the avatars without the username shown. maybe rate them from 1 to 10 or something.

avatars are all i could think of, but i'd like to see more regular contests around here. and some people put so much time and money into their avatars it would be nice to reward them a little.

We already avatar contests and the formats we had sucked.

So, until the format are fixed, nty.

yeah we've had avatar contests before and it seems like people were always just really unhappy with them; I hope they come back eventually but not until they find a way to make them better.

oh! i didn't realize. that sucks. it seems like they'd be fun.

i'd still like to see more contests though, even if it's not the HA's.

Yeah I agree, I'd still like to see some more contests c:
We have a lot of them around the forums already, like the battling one comes to mind where they see who can defeat the most of x opponent; maybe they could consider making some of those official idk

It's not even just the formats that sucked, people turned on each other even more viciously than usual.

You wouldn't think people would get pointlessly self-righteous about creating anime/Disney/cosplay/original/zombie avatars, but you would be terribly terribly wrong. Imagine a world where people are constantly having their fingernails pulled out with rusty pliers, and you're forced to listen to their constant, pained screams. That world would be more pleasant than these forums when an avatar contest is going on.

Even simple stuff like restock wars make everyone hate each other (idk if it was the last one or the one before, but people were harassing opposing teams, and even their OWN team if it was suspected they weren't pulling their weight.)

I think the type of contests we have (aka. NOT user-base chosen, random-selection) is good enough for now. and like, forever.

Is that why we don't have group-based contests like that anymore? Such a shame because they had some nice prizes at the end too. People should grow up a bit and remember it is just a game.

But yeah some new contests would be fun but nothing that involves voting. People could easily buy votes, harass other contestants, tell people not to vote for so-and-so. Maybe things like the restock wars but not where people rely on each other to win. That just causes what was talking about

I'm not really wanting another HA contest now because I can already see the complaining over one little thing: custom wearables.

Let people use theirs and you'll have complaining that people/the winners had custom made items made just for the contest. Not fair because not everyone has access to all of them.
Don't include them and people will complain that they should be included. Why not, everyone else has/had the chance to buy them as well so we should be able to use them.

Yeah, no thank you.
