Hi there,

My name is Sumi and I'm new here as you might have already suspected. After looking for a place where I could raise virtual pets I stumbled upon this lovely site. I just love the maturity of the majority of users here. I have a feeling I will feel right at home here.

A little bit about me...hmm...I'm a young lady from Europe who works fulltime and has an active social life but still finds the time to surf the web pretty much 24/7. (I guess that's normal for my generation either way.) I absolutely love animals unlike my friends who already think I own too many which is obviously not the case. I own three lovely ferrets that often go for walks with me. My two girls are 6 years old and are considered senior for their age. I can only hope they'll be able to stay with me for a long time to come. My spoiled boy is only a year old but is the biggest and fastest of the bunch. He loves licking people all over and then chasing them around. He enjoys the outdoors very much and loves toys that make noise and are small enough to drag along.

I'm hoping to get a dog someday, if I do it will probably become a Shiba Inu or Akita Inu since I absolutely love these breeds. One can dream, can't they? But until that day I'll be enjoying my ferrets and now hopefully enjoy my very own virtual pet. You might notice I don't have a pet yet but that is because I want to adopt one from a different user instead of creating a new one. Wish me luck? It's not easy finding the perfect pet when you're new.

I hope I'll be able to meet many nice users and make some friends. I just love to talk about the most random things. Feel free to ask me anything you want and I'll try to answer it to the best of my abilities.

Last but not least you all get a big hug from me and the ferret bunch! Hope to meet you all very soon.

Just a little note: You can't adopt a pet until your account is two weeks old. In the meantime, I suggest you do quests and play games like random to raise sP so you can look after your pet ^^

Thank you very much for the advice ^__^ I'll be sure to raise sP to raise my pet and spoil it rotten. I really like the quests here so far. I'm having a hard time trying to find a pet to adopt though. What exactly do you mean by the "two weeks old". If a user befriends me and wants to send me their pet I need to be two weeks or older? I hope I'll be able to find my companion soon. Feeling a bit lonely without a pet to care for to be honest.

I <3 animals too and wish I could have more! I have 1 cat who stays with my fiance and I and then a Dog who stays with my parents. I <3 Ferrets!

I'm glad you are going to adopt a pet. It is a great thing in the real world and subbie world!

There are adoption forums and then there is also the pound you can adopt from!

There are some great names and beautiful pets! <3

Most people here dislike ferrets for no reason at all, they seem to compare them to rats while ferrets are actually more like a cat since they hunt rodents. X3 I used to have rats in the past as well but I can't keep any right now or they would probably be hunted.

And ferrets scare me. My friend had a few and they were evil and bit people. All I remember is being terrified of being anywhere near them.

I'm sure yours are very well-manner though.

Thank you for the welcome ^__^ glad to be here.

I've seen misbehaving ferrets like that before unfortunately. These pets are harder to train than dogs or cats so be prepared to have bloody hands every day before they reach one year of age. Mine are trained to perfection with lots of love, tears, sweat and blood X3 It's safe to say I hug them to death every day and the only thing they ever did to me was lick my face from top to bottom. I'm lucky to have such sweethearts :3 I often go out and help other owners train theirs because they usually get scared when they get bitten for the first time too.
