OKAY! The fabled revamp is finally here! There's a lot to talk about, so let's get to it. First off, one thing needs to be said: All weapon stats are not finalized yet! We repeat, NOT finalized! Why? Two reasons. First being: We're only human. We do make mistakes (Purge especially!). Therefore, we'll need to correct our mistakes as they are found. Secondly, the opponent revamp has not yet begun (more on this later). If a weapon in a particular tier is found to be too powerful against the opponents it would be used against, it will need to be changed. So buy and sell weapons at your own risk until we say everything is finalized! Weapon Tier Primer! For those who are new to battling and are curious as to what all this is about, all pets and all weapons have been sorted into tiers. The bigger your pet, the stronger the weapons you can use. Makes sense, right? We're sure everyone is curious as to what tier their pet falls into. So, without further ado, here are the tiers. Your pet's tier depends on its total stats, excluding level and intelligence. (In the following format: Tier: total stats -- average per stat if trained evenly [for reference]) 1: 40-299 -- 10-74 2: 300-599 -- 75-149 3: 600-1199 -- 150-299 4: 1200-1799 -- 300-449 5: 1800-2599 -- 450-649 6: 2600-3399 -- 650-849 7: 3400-4399 -- 850-1099 8: 4400-5399 -- 1100-1349 9: 5400-6399 -- 1350-1599 10: 6400-7999 -- 1600-1999 11: 8000-11999 -- 2000-2999 12: 12000+ -- 3000+ That may look like a lot of numbers, but it's not too complicated. Here are a couple of examples that explain how a pet's tier is determined: 1. Pet A has 750 HP, 600 strength, 400 defense, and 400 speed. That totals to 2150, which means Pet A is a Tier 5 pet! That means that Pet A can use weapons from tiers 1 through 5. 2. Pet B has 1500 HP, 800 str, 1200 def, and 1000 spd. That totals to 4500, which would make Pet B a Tier 8 pet, able to use weapons in tiers 1 through 8! Here are the other changes that we have made: - EDIT: All Cash Shop weapons (except for the Sentinel!) can now be used by all tiers and scale according to your pets tier! That means the higher your pets tier is, the more the weapon will do! - Most weapons have modified stats to fit the weapon tiers. In most cases, weapons have been upgraded, not downgraded. - All Tier 1 weapons (except for ones from the Cash Shop) have 0 modifier slots. Don't worry, most pets outgrow Tier 1 very quickly, so you'll get to play around with modifiers in no time! - Species and color weapons can be used by any pet, but have special effects when used by the pet of the proper species or color. These can range from a few more damage or defense icons to a small freezing or stealing chance. Some weapons, such as the Bloodred Chelon Gem, will have one special effect for the proper-colored pet and another special effect for the proper species! - A handful of scrolls have had their stats changed. - A small number of weapons (including Trident of the Banished One) now "scale" based on the stats of the pet using them. For example, the attack power of a weapon will increase as your pet's strength stat reaches certain milestones. - "Invisible" numbers, such as blessing and curse chances, freeze rates, and steal rates, scale according to your pet's speed. This only applies to higher-tiered weapons. - Weapon "sets" are back! There are several sets of weapons that "power up" when brought into battle together. These range from a two-piece set all the way up to a four-piece set. The Recycled Sword and Recycled Shield are one example of such a set. Have fun finding the rest!  And, finally: You can now add some extra special effects to your combo legendary! Just equip the brand new Sentinel (now available in the Cash Shop) along with any of the 36 combo legendaries and see what happens!   We're sure you will have lots of questions, suggestions, and even complaints, and we'll be around to respond to them! Feel free to ping us here, and we will answer as soon as possible.  Why are the opponents being done this way? - Because it’s the only way they can be done! We can’t test the newly-statted weapons on the opponents... until the weapons have those stats. How long will this opponent revamp take? - NO IDEA! But it will take much, much less time than the weapon revamp! Will the opponents get reset? - Yes. After we have completed ALL of the opponent revamps, your wins on all opponents will be reset. Will any of the current special loot be retired? Will there be new loot? - …Maybe!  Last Edit by:

 @Cranberry I have a question which is probably really simple, but I can't find it. How do we find what tier a weapon/pet is? Sure I could do the math, but for a quick glance I'd rather not have to!

 I'm kinda relieved to see my pet falls into tier nine. . . now to go survey the damage if any of my weapons don't work with him and to be sad and upset over that haha

Wow! Surprise, surprise! Thanks!Are we allowed to post bugs here? Oh No! You are trying to equip an item (Malerias Cursed Arm Bangle, tier: 10) that is above the tier of your pet ()! Tiers Your top tier pet is tier 8, so don't try to choose anything higher than that! Duliaz Too Easy! Tier: 12 ? erm... I dropped the Bangle, now it tells me the same with Malice. lol, does the number of tiered pets count? I actually currently have 2 tier 8 pets fit for battle in there. Last Edit by:

 yay! i was totally not going to believe it until i see it, lmao. I just loaded up my armory and this is my default set:  maybe like, HEALER* or FREEZER* to show these are exempt from the Healer/Freezer slot restriction? or in the item description/hover somewhere. This is cool how we now have a weapon revamp. I can't wait for the opponent revamp, and I like how we aren't entirely screwed over in the current system. If anything, I am surprised Trident has its old effect on a tier 10 pet. For the weapons I own that I can't use, there is one solution to that problem: training my pet. I just wonder when the BQ revamp will happen in regards to the opponent revamp.

Check the page choose weapons page to see which weapons truly take up the heal/steal/freeze slots. For example, although the armory lists P-Quill as a healer, the choose a weapon page shows us that it doesn't actually take up the heal slot. However, Trident now truly takes up the healer slot. Buying discounted Kumos items and intelligence boosters.

Kinda sad about what counts as a healer now, since sometimes having that extra boost is the only freaking thing that saved me in tough battle, but I'm hoping things miiight be a little easier now anyway due to the tier system. This might be interesting to play around with. c: Last Edit by:

Yes, there is currently an issue with weapons being classified as healers and freezers and whatnot! Programming issues! They are being worked on xD

Hmm Ok, so according to Finneous' stats I'm Tier 5.. But my weapons Trident and Malice are Tier 8 and my Dragon Soul are Tier 6 :/ also now that Trident is a healer my Malevolent Grimfruit is too so hmm *confused*

Weapon tiers are in the box you see when you hover over any weapon, right at the bottom. Pet tiers will be added to the actual pet page soon; for now, you can see them when you go to challenge an opponent.

...Actually, none of my weapons seem to be above tier 8. >_> No wonder I haven't done so well in the coliseum.

oh god I'm loveed lol; my main battle pet is almost tier 6 but not quite which means I lose pretty much all of my armory
I guess I'll have to look around now to see if there are any weapons in my tier that got nice revamps

@Purge @Cranberry Is that Sentinel supposed to be a staff item? Art is fab btw. Isn't it gorgeous? You can thank bean for that one. It's been changed from a staff item to a normal cash shop one, but it'll take a bit longer for the cache to update.

Out of curiosity, have you guys figured out a time frame (maybe average) that a pet will spend in each tier (i.e. is it reasonable to expect to advance a tier in six months, a year etc?)
