It would be great, if the pets' tier showed on the new pet page.

Also labelling everything that heals as healer etc. is going to cause a lot of confusion. Going by trial and error each time we reequip weapons is going to be tedious, to say the least. Can we have a system, that again lets us know, which is which? The hoover will now let us know about healing, anyway?

Aah, Poop. My half arsed attempt at a battle pet turns out to be a mighty level 3, and can no longer use any of its weapons (Balrog, Grimfruit and Acorn Bomb).

Oh No! You are trying to equip an item (Trident of the Banished One, tier: 8) that is above the tier of your pet (7)!

Well this loveing pissed me off a whole hell of a lot, if this is how the BC is gonna work now, love that, I can't train my damn pet any faster, why should I be punished because I made enough money to buy good weapons, absolute bullcrap...

Aww, man, I thought was finally getting my pet up to decent stats and having a decent set too, but apparently she's only a level 7 which wipes out half my set. Oh well, will be interesting to see how this all works out anyhow.

To their credit they quickly took Malevolent Grimfruit out of battle shop and reach of easy tokens

And yeah, I know right? True I'm only about 100 stats from tier 4 but Shinigami is level 5. sucks

The healer/freezer thing is being fixed. We agree that it's too confusing as-is.

Pets' tiers will be added to the main pets page soon.

I'm really annoyed by this. I spent a good deal of money on gear and training, and now my pet can no longer use 2 of the weapons that it's been using. (One being it's healer, which really doesn't even heal a large percentage of her health already.) By the time it will be usable, the healer will be useless, but the opponents in her "good match" range are still dealing 5 times the damage of that healer most hits.

It's also falling because I still can't see the Sentinel image :C! With such an awesome looking name I WANT IT BUT I WANNA SEE IT SOB q___q!

I also can't wait to find some tier 11 and 12 weapons, so I can come to terms with why I don't own any of them. This revamping happening on the day of a clearing is cruel, I'M TOO DISTRACTED FOR THIS TODAY.

@ @ Can you explain why the oh staff, which only has 10% healing and is used mainly for attacking, is listed as a healer, while Reviver of the Lion, which heals 90% and is only one use and has no attack, is not? I don't get it.

Yeah, I hated this when they first announced they were going to do the revamp as well. But nothing to do about it now.

You should've taken that money and spent it on training your pet instead of weapons. Little pets beating up bigger challengers than they should is bad, apparently.

I'm happy, overall, I think.

So far my main pet (Tier 8) can use all the weapons I have. Need to check on my smaller pets, though.

I like the ARRR! Curse on the pirate cutlass now. Pretty sure that's a new thing.

Glad this is finally happening, but HATE that we are now limited to which weapons we can use because of our pets stats. This seems rather silly to me. The whole point of weapons was to help increase the damage your pets could do, now there is a finite amount it seems per tier. So all those expensive weapons to me are now worthless. I think you guys should have made it so weapons did more damage depending on the level of your pet. I feel this is a slap in the face to those who saved up enough sp/csc/etc to buy those big ticket weapons only to not be able to use them. I'm so upset!

Yeah, my pet just lost access to half my armory and every good piece of gear I own. That's like, what, 64 million sP worth of items I can no longer use? Good thing I didn't buy the Simple Catoblepas Wheeley Toy yet - I wouldn't be able to use it either!

Oh, and most of my default weapons (and particularly the 2 I can no longer use) have had their stats DOWNGRADED, so they'll be even more useless when I finally can use them, after I upgrade every stat another 100 points.

I know this would be a lot of info to input maybe but now that there's tiers would be it possible when hovering over a weapon on the site(not in the armory) for it to show the tiers and the damage/etc it does? I think it's going to be a big mess if we can't see that stuff, especially the tiers :/

edit; oh wow nevermind I guess I actually just hovered over something and the saw the tier there!

@ my pet is in training 24/7 more or less except for a months in my almost 2 years where i didn't play much and boosting at my stats is a terrible waste =/

new system = makes no sense -.- here I was thinking AWESOME, new BC update.. FINALLY ;( /cry /rant

Ok I feel like I won the lottery right now. My battle pet is Tier 9, and I currently don't have any weapons that I use regularly that go above tier 9. Whew!

I can't wait to see how the Healer/Freezer thing gets worked out, I'm a bit confused about being able to battle with multiples of those. And kind of sad that the Trident of the Banished one is labeled as a Healer, hope it doesn't end up taking the slot. If it does, then I'm pretty much out of battling XD

Edit:

Overall though things seem to be going very smoothly. I've only gone through a couple of battles (I've already done by BQs today) but everything was very smooth. I'm super impressed you guys, this was a major change and it looks great!

I'm also curious as to why level and intelligence aren't factored into the tier formula.

A half-decent battle set (and I don't even have any of the really big-ticket items) was the only reason I could participate in the battle sections of events at all. I have a limited time on Subeta and I spend it doing other things, so the only time I ever really battle is during events. My best pet is a measely Tier 1 still, but with the right weapons I've been able to do at least the first round or two of battle events. About half my set is now out of commission, though.

Guess i won't be battling at ALL anymore.

Man. I'm not the biggest battler ever (as I always forget to do my training), but my main pet is on tier 3, and my main weapons are on tier 4. As far as I remember, training takes a long time, so getting myself up to the higher tiers will be a nightmare.

going by the hover: still blocks 5-8 of each icon, but now with 5-9% healing
unfortunately after waiting forever for it to become useful, it's now tier 10 so I can't test/use it.

Intuitively, it seems like the the weapon tier system is so we can't just buy our way to victory by sticking good weapons on a crappy pet. But we kind of can buy stregth with autotraining, so I guess that's not the point.

The only other reason I can think of is to try and make weak pets even weaker and strong pets even stronger. Is that right?

Or is there some other rationale I've not thought of?
