Are you resizing this before posting the updates, like you did with the troll? One thing I'd advise, from experience working with some artists, is to make sure you leave enough space in certain areas for shading. One of the items I commissioned was denied the first time because they said something along the lines of them acknowledging there was shading, however it didn't look like it because it was too faint. Albeit they were very kind in saying it, but this may help you as a reminder when shading  @Rawhide: Would you be interested in a slot for it? XD I want to at least fill another so Eurus can get his free copy.

@EurusFaeriewillow I was planning on wearing it with my Fairy Friend, which is already blonde, so I really like the contrast of the pinks and blues with her yellows and greens.
Hmmmm... To be honest, I really liked the single heart much much better than the three.

@furby - Thanks for the input. I will definitely take your comments into consideration on the final version. I am also unsure how much I like the 3 hearts. They are a subtle tribute to the Triforce from the Zelda games, which her concept is based on. #FaeCW Updated the artwork with shaded versions. Let me know what you all think. I decided against the 3 hearts in her hand and went with one larger heart with a glow. I also could not decide upon blonde or pink hair, so there are 2 versions. I would appreciate your feedback on which color you like better. I don't want this item to have multiple recolors, just the one color. Last Edit by:

  Tumblr x My CWs x CW Wips The wing looks better, but there's still something off about them as a whole. Now it appears as though the two bottom wings are too far down from the top ones (as though there'd be a gap on her back where they connect, rather than being a whole wing on each side?) I'd love to see how this turns out! If you require help feel free to ping me. Just out of curiosity did the troll get accepted first try? Edit: I can see there's been some shading added, but there is still a decent amount that can/should be added to it. The right side of the skirt should have darker shading for a start as it's away from the light source. I realise that shading may mess with the detail, but it may be necessary to comply to "Subeta standards". Last Edit by:

I like the pink best. The heart with aura looks pretty good, I like how you can see it but it doesn't out shine the the faeire. Although personally I like the wings, I can see what Mortician is saying. The staff might deny because of "perspective" on the wings.

@bjorn - I totally overlooked your message above, sorry about that. I am re-sizing it like I did with the troll. I just haven't been posting the larger images like I did with the troll. Working on tiny artwork with shading is tedious but fun, I think I left enough room for shading. I have some newly tweaked shaded versions up now. @Mortician - Thanks for your help, so very much! I appreciate that you take the time to critique my art in a very honest way. I have uploaded some newly tweaked versions with more shading and the wings I completely re-worked. My troll was accepted on the 2nd try, the first time submitted they just wanted the shading to be darker on both the item and the overlay. It was very painless. The narwhal companion I made as a commission for someone else was approved on the first time. Shocked me. Unfortunately I noticed an error I made on the item art that they didn't catch (part of the white background had a grayish line through it.) But we are sorting that out. @Rawhide - Thanks! I like both the blonde and the pink, the pink I am tending to lean to more for some reason. But others seem to like the blonde better. I fixed the wings, redoing them and giving them more perspective. #FaeCW @furby @Witch - Just wanted to ping you all about the newly reworked art for my pixie companion. I am going with the one heart in her hand as opposed to the 3 I was playing around with. Tell me what you think and also what hair color you like more. It is looking really good! The heart and it's aura are a nice touch and the wing problem, which the others mentioned, seems to be fixed. The only thing I'd say is that it also has that plastic look that the troll had had as well  I think this may just be because the outfit is a little on the flat side when I look at it :/ I believe it is because the shading is very faint, which could be because of the size. This sort of reminds me of Tinkerbell, so here is a picture of her dress, which may help as it has that darker shading on it where there isn't as much light Tinkerbell

@bjorn - Thanks, I appreciate it. I will see what I can do about the dress. Maybe I can add a subtle texture. Also it may be that the highlights are too bright, that can cause a plastic look too. I will tweak the brightness of the highlights a bit and see if that works.

The wings look better now. It may be my computer screen but the bottom wings look like the same color as the dress and not so much like the above wings. It's probably because it's such a small area we just don't see the detail in them but I had to point it out.

@Rawhide - Okay, I think I got the wings to look better. I played around with the colors so that the bottom wings don't match the dress now. Or at least on my computer screen the don't. I hope I get enough people to submit her soon too. I still need to finish the item art though, it needs shading and highlights.@bjorn - I tried adding some "texture" to her dress, which is hard to tell because she is so tiny. I think it helped make the dress look less plastic like though. Or it could have been that I made the highlights not so evident. @Witch - Thank you for the comments. So it seems that the pink hair is the popular choice among those that want to buy one, so I think that will be the color I go with.

Tumblr x My CWs x CW Wips Love the shading! It's quite a bit better than before . The wings look perfect now as well, love the shimmering effect. Not sure what else I can add that may help, it looks fine now. (I like the pink more now btw, I think that glow encourages this change) I'm glad the troll was easy enough to submit and that my input helped out! I certainly hope that the narwhal can get fixed up too.

@Witch @bjorn @Mortician Thanks for your comments and help. I tweaked the finished overlay art a tiny bit, fixed some pixels so it looks more clean and recognizable. So the overlay art will be considered finished now. Now to work on the item art.

The overlay looks really good! I think the pink hair was a good choice, as I'd have to side with @Rawhide about the blonde version  Are you positive you want that to be the item image? I think they may let it pass, like they let the Earthen Clod rock equal the troll, but it seems kind of a stretch. Mainly I think the problem is you say it is pond water, but there is no water around the pixie, except it's dress being the same color. This may just be me, but I don't want them to deny because they don't think the item image correctly represents the overlay :/

@bjorn - Well my idea for the item is based around the fairies from The Legend of Zelda. There are Fairy Fountains in the game that you can go to to heal your hearts and there are always fairies flying above the fountains. So I think if I explain the idea to them, they might let it pass. I will try it with that item art and if that doesn't work I can make something else or tweak the bottle in a way that allows it to be used.

Ahh okay. Then if you say that in the tribute section there probably won't be a problem Maybe you could put fairy wings on the vial to make it more obvious? All up to you though.

You did a great job. @bjorn The heart she holds in her hand sort of represents the heart on the jar (well, I don't really know ) , I don't think it's too much of a stretch. Maybe the name though would have to be changed if there are any issues. Maybe Vial of Pixie Heart or something? Lol, you're welcome. I have an "OoOh Shiny obsession/disorder? It makes it very difficult to concentrate I also have 9 cats and why they all think that in front of the monitor is the best place in the house to sit, I'll never know.I like the item art, I still don't know anything about shading so maybe someone else will come along for that. I can say that now that I see the aura around the heart on a background I really like it more, it really stands out now. I'm wondering if it would be too much work for you to put the same aura around the vile? It might give it a little more oomph.
