Why did you change the battle weapons?

I bought the weapons and have trained my pets as best as I can and now my pet cannot even use them even though I bought them and I trained her and she has used them before. I liked coming in here and battling with my pet and now I can't. >.<

 @Just_Call_Me_Tracy They changed the weapons because they are revamping the entire way battling is done here, the weapons revamp is just the first part. And you can still battle, your piet is a tier 6, same as mine and there are plenty of decent weapons out there for it to use. Just look around the battle forum. Last Edit by:

@Just_Call_Me_Tracy Well then you'll just have to train your pets until you can use them I suppose. I understand your frustration, I was upset as well when I learned I couldn't use half my battle set but I asked in the battle forum what to replace them with out of weapons I had and everyone was very helpful.

yeah I have to agree. I cant use my weapons set anymore until I pretty much double my battle pet's stats. :/

I agree with the OP. I can't use ANY of the weapons I already have. The reason I have expensive weapons is because I figured weapons are a better investment than training my pet, since I usually can't get online often enough to train my pet effectively. My pet is pretty weak compared to a lot of pets (at even 430's right now, which is like tier 4, my lowest weapon is tier 5) but my weapons were usually able to make up for that and I could easily beat all the plot challengers that I wanted to. I thought since I can't be online often, saving up to buy good weapons was the best way to make sure I could have a decent chance at beating plot/seasonal challengers.
Training a pet takes less than a minute, but you have to have that one minute available every few hours, which simply isn't possible when I work for many hours each day, several days in a row. Compared to questing, vending, or restocking, which take a good chunk of time, but it can be 4 hours in a row on one day a week (like my day off) instead of a few minutes spread throughout every single day. Buying weapons just worked so much better with my schedule than training. If I'd spent the same amount of time training as I did saving up for weapons, my pet would be a whole lot stronger now, but I'd have worse weapons. I don't expect stuff to be handed to me, I completely feel like the amount of time you spend on the site should equal how "good" you are at the game, but it sucks that stuff I spent forever getting can't even be used now. I have literally 4 mil to my name right now so I can't afford to just buy new weapons. And I shouldn't have to buy new weapons when my old weapons have sufficed just fine in the past. I'd be happier if they just made weapon damage/shield/healing scale with your pet's tier, at least then I'd be able to use the weapons I have instead of them just being shinies to look at in my armory. Sorry for the long rant, I didn't realize I had so much to say about this when I started. I hope this made sense. If not, I can try to explain more when I'm not so tired. I |

 @Affirmation it sounds like you're someone who would benefit from autotraining? Yeah it's pricey but at least it's an option. I know how you feel though. I've also spent far more on weapons than on training because that's what I like. Fortunately I've been here long enough that my pet is good enough to use most of my armory. @Potter Well yeah, if I'd known this was coming eventually, or if this had been the system from the beginning, I would've invested in autotraining (after it became an option, of course) instead of weapons. But since it came so late in the game for me, it's going to be hard to switch to that and I'll have to temporarily sell off some or all of my cool weapons to pay for it. ;-;
I also like weapons better than strong pets because then even my untrained pets can benefit from the good weapons I have without me having to buy different ones just for them. I |

 I have invested most of my sP into my battle set. And my pet's tier isn't up to par with the weapons that I have so now they're kinda useless to me at the moment. Fortunately, even before the revamp, I've been training.

 Gonna be honest. I feel so Loving bad for people who focus a lot of their subeta time on battling. Not because of this new weapons revamp, but because people who don't battle as much piss and moan about anything and everything to do with battling. I know it sucks that you are now unable to use your weapons due to the tier of your pet, but guess what, they aren't going to change it back and this change is to improve the whole of the battle sector. Invest in new weapons or just keep training your pet until they are strong enough to use them.

It really sucks that people lost their weapons(I lost a few too, don't worry) but I think people are looking at this revamp from a small point of view. You have to look at the big picture and understand that this will(hopefully) help everyone in the long run and give the whole process a lot more depth and fix a lot of things that really shouldn't be happening in the battle system. I feel for you I honestly do, I remember you from the battle forum and you had a really oddly statted pet with super high hp and level and low everything else; but it's not impossible to continue training :/ Training is only going to help you with battling anyway Last Edit by:

At the risk of repeating myself from the other threads, there's a reason most online games don't allow level 5 characters to battle with level 70 weapons. The old BC was very broken and very hard to get into. It was a vicious cycle where there were any pet could us expensive, extremely powerful weapons, and because small pets were using such powerful weapons, staff had to plan the opponents around them, which made them very difficult to beat unless you had really expensive, powerful weapons. This really balances out the game, and makes it much, much easier for smaller pets to jump in. Yes, you can't use that uber weapon that you used to, and can only use a low tier weapon, but the thing is, you won't NEED that uber weapon. Tier 1 weapons that only do 10 icons are more then enough to beat Tier 1 opponents. I understand that having all the weapons tossed up and jumbled around sucks, especially if you're now in possession of what's equivalent to a 50 million sP paperweight, but unfortunately, it was a change that was really needed, and there wasn't really any other way to fix it.

Yeah, the weapon revamp is a little meh. It'll take me a while to get used to all the new stuff, but hopefully when everyone gets a hang of the new system, it'll be awesome

For what it is worth, I do feel that battling is in a temporary state of chaos due to the weapon revamp, but the opponent revamp should fix that. Before, people without gods/high end weapons were screwed over and challengers were more difficult than they should have been. This revamp should fix that problem so that opponents of each tier are designed for pets using weapons in that tier, not for pets of a compatible tier using stuff like gods or MCAB and whatnot. This should make battling easier and less exclusive on us all.
I am also not able to use my favorite weapon that I spent 400M on, but I am not complaining because I know there is a way out of this: training my pet. Buying discounted Kumos items and intelligence boosters.

My sole bone of contention is that until opponent revamp happens is that ill be unable to beat felibot coz the previous healing sets got downgraded ;o;

@Affirmation - that is the whole reason why they are doing this revamp. Because people with small pets could buy or borrow big weapons and whoop on whatever they wanted. What is the point of a battle system where everyone can beat everything? They needed a way to diversify the pets, and the way to do that was to make it so smaller pets have to use the weapons they should be using. The fact that you said you figure buying weapons was more important than training is the ENTIRE PURPOSE of this revamp lol Last Edit by:
