I run a tumblog and I'm featuring something called Crochet Palooza. On it I'll be posting weekly patterns of things that I find awesome.

The first couple of weeks (or just the first one) will be of hats! Winter is just around the corner and I have a few ideas of what I want to do. I already have the following planned:

Rigby from Regular Show
Jake from Adventure Time
LSP from Adventure Time
BMO from Adventuretime
Princess BBgum from Advernture time
Chinchilla
Soot Ball from Spirited Away
No Face from Spirited Away
Racoon (that's not Rigby)
Owl
Whinnie the Pooh characters
Gir from Invader Zim
Zim from Invader Zim
Piggy from Invader Zim
Dawn's hat from Pokemon
Calcifer from Howl's Moving Castle
Turnip Head from Howl's Moving Castle
Luna from Sailor Moon

**I'm also straying from any Pokemon ones since there are millions and I will eventually make my way to them XD
**I'd like to stick to animal-bases since LSP and PBBGum won't exactly be easy, but I like a challenge. Is there a carton that you like and would love to see in hat form?

The hats are crocheted and have the earflaps unless I decide to do something different :p

All of your help is greatly appreciated!

I loooove crocheting!!! One of the best past times that I've ever taken up

Let's see... I'm trying to think of strong prints and colors, how about Flintstones and Looney Toons (Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, etc.)?

Oh you guys are awesome, lol. I will definitely use some flinstones characters like the dinosaurs, and probably the girly characters from looney toons haha.

Since you're making Dawn's hat, why not make Bianca's hat as well? Actually I crocheted her hat for my cosplay of her, haha. And I think Lyra's hat would be cool too. I'd be really interested in seeing your tumblog :3

zomg, I didn't even think of them! They fall under the pokemon category, so I'll make them once I finish the other things.

haha, Bianca's hat would be quite interesting. My main blog is Pokenerdtm, but the crochet one is crochetatier. There aren't many original creations on it, but I plan on changing that soon.

I actually just found a knitting pattern for an appa hat! I will try and make one for crochet, though! OMG, I remember that show! It was such an odd show, lol.

And yeah, I was like "HMMMM. What are some ideas??" and he popped into my head! The show was rather weird.

Oh that's totally fine. I was the same way when my mom tried teaching me when I was 7. I just now picked up knitting after refusing for years. BUT, I found that a majority of crocheted clothes looked hideous and decided that knitting would be my best option. Plus, it's cheaper in the long run to just buy yarn and make my clothes hah.

I have a really adorable Totoro hat from a Halloween costume. It includes the eyes, nose, and whiskers, not just the ears. I think you could make an excellent crocheted version with a little stuffing or wire to keep the ears up.
