I'm looking for some new dessert ideas that can be seasonal or anytime of the year. Or even some tips and tricks that you've learned from baking.

Feel free to post a link to the recipe or the whole recipe in the post. I'll be posting some ideas that I've found that I really liked or want to try it.

Something I love making and always goes great at get-togethers are Brownie Cups. You make a brownie batter (can be from a box mix or one from scratch) and scoop the batter into cupcake pans. Sprinkle some peanut butter chips on top and bake for 20-25 minutes at 350 F. I usually give them about 20 minutes and I check them.

One other thing, this site has some really good recipes

Sorry for all the edits. I kept messing up the link

Have you ever made lemon meringue or key lime pie? They're perfect for summer : D the recipe I use is a family one, but of course you can find one on the internet. I usually add a little (..lot) more lemon juice than it calls for.

I have a ton of food blogs and recipes bookmarked, but it'd be a long, long post and I've only tried about one of them.. haha... but two of my favorites are Smitten Kitchen and Whisk Kid : D Whisk Kid is usually dessert only, so you can look there for more ideas.

Oh, but I did try Smitten Kitchen's icebox cake... I made the cookies wrong and too small, so it didn't really.. turn out right... I love to bake, but I always mess the recipes up. /le sigh

Thank you both for some great ideas!

I had a great time making Rainbow Cupcakes because of how colorful they are. What I learned from making them is to make sure the colors are put evenly among the cupcake liners or else some of the latter cupcakes won't have all of the colors.

Oh my gosh, this thread is making me very hungry.

For summer, I'd definitely go with desserts with different kinds of fruits and such. Delicious but also healthy!

Parfaits are one item I'd definitely recommend, and also this unique "Berry Pizza"

Peanut butter pie is delicious and refreshing on a hot day as it is usually served close to frozen! If you can't find a good recipe online I can post one.

Please don't tear this world asunder,

One of my favorite things to make is cookie dough cupcakes. You can use store batter or your own. Whatever cookie dough you use, substitute two tablespoons of milk for every egg. One the cookie dough is made, you roll it into 1/2 inch balls and freeze them overnight. The next day when you make the cupcake batter, once all the liners are filled, set a ball of cookie dough on top, pressing it in slightly. As it bake, it sinks, so don't put it in too far or it will end up sinking all the way to the bottom and cooking (I've had this happen so many times ^^.

Another thing I've recently learned to do to sculpt cake (like for cake pops), is to crumble the cooked cake and add icing. This give it a good molding consistency.
