I rubbed a hand over my forehead, willing the searing ache to go away. Ever since last night's incident and the sudden change in the weather from the storm I couldn't open my eyes without a headache bombarding me. As everyone voted, I let my mind drift into sleep. As long as I could stay conscious...

A loud snap woke me from my sleep. I grabbed the table in front of me, blinking my eyes. Everyone was staring at me. Oh, gosh. I really did fall asleep.

"Ahem, sorry about that, everyone."

I noticed the stack of papers in front of me. Quickly beginning to sift through them all, I cocked my head, recounted and then had my thoughts confirmed.

"There is a current tie between Trypanophobia and Try. I will consult one banished member for their tie-breaker. They will have 24 hours to respond. If I get no response, we'll move on and no one will be banished."

Oh, good I didn't miss any voting. But why do people vote for those who are citizens? I mean, isn't it obvious by now who is and is not a civilian? That's the object of the game, right? Do people not realize this? Or is it just voting randomly always and hope you get lucky? I don't understand... :/

The game works so that players don't know who's who, except for the mafia, who are aware of each other so that they can work together. Everybody else has to either guess or try to be strategic while going through the UN list. If you think you know who is part of the mafia, you can vote and say why and hopefully people will follow your lead. Otherwise... it's pretty much just random.

@ I suppose it is random much of the time. I just thought that others would be able to discern by now who would be in the mafia. I mean, it's not terribly hard to figure out at least those who have special roles, correct? Ah well, this game seems to be getting over with soon. By the way, I wonder what would happen if all the civilians were banished/killed, as well as the assassin... that would be interesting, lol

If you think you know who it is, try and get the first vote in. Hopefully people will bandwagon you then. Otherwise... Idk how many people sit and take the time to track stuff to try to be strategic. But if it was really easy, there'd be hardly any point in playing. This round is a bit unusual that we haven't caught anybody yet though, tbh.

Everyone else has pretty much summed it up. A LOT of it is random. I had thought about putting in little hints from time to time, but every time I tried, it was far too obvious and would make the game way too easy. Now, for those more dedicated players, there is a way to strategically vote. It has to do with tracking everyone's votes and their behavior. I use to have a little google site dedicated to the current round where I had a place where you could see everyone's previous voting records, but I stopped making those for some reason.

The basic gist is that if all the special roles, asides for the Mafia, and the civilians are banished/killed, the Mafia win. But if the Mafia are all banished/killed, the civilians win. I think we've had an equal share of both the Mafia and the Civilians winning.

Bandwagoning is very common especially at the beginning of a round because no one really knows who to vote for so they're like "well, what the heck, I'll vote for them too. I haven't got any better idea." Later on in the round people sometimes are more likely to make more educated guesses, but they're still guesses. And it's not like you can really tell others if you figure it out or something, because you can't post "OHEY THIS PERSON IS MAFIA. VOTE WITH ME." So even the detective role, who may have discovered who certain Mafia members are, still can't do anything more than vote for them and hope others follow.
Personally, I think the fact that it isn't ridiculously easy to figure out who the mafia people are is what makes this game more fun. Even more fun is when you're down at the very end of the round, and there's one mafia and one citizen, and each one votes for the other, and someone has to come in and break the tie and basically decide which one is the mafia. And the outcome of the game lies in their hands. It's exciting!! (remember that round @? gosh that one was nerve racking haha)

As far as the mafia winning this round, it could still go either way. That being said, the fact that we (or rather the rest of you since I've been dead since the first night lol) haven't discovered any of them so far isn't a good sign haha. But who knows, maybe you guys will get lucky?

I track everything from who they vote for to how often they post/vote.

It's quite a bit of work getting it set up if I forget to start when the round starts, but it's not incredibly hard.

I hadn't had a chance to start tracking anything for this round, though, so I'm stuck at random guessing. :c

See, that's what I need to do when a new round starts. I always plan to but then forget and once you're a ways in and you're busy, it's a bit daunting to go back through so many pages to figure things out.
Sigh. Next round. Next round, I will definitely do that. @n@

I honestly don't remember the exact persons involved, I just remember it happening once xD
Now that was a tense voting day haha.

If I hadn't died so soon, I might have tried tracking votes. Maybe I'll do that next time. There's also little gimmicks you can pick up on after playing for a bunch of rounds, but I don't want to tell everyone. Do you have any of those? (you don't have to tell me what they are, I'm keeping mine secret haha)

I thanked Madeline for her vote and began my trek back to City Hall. Would try be a Mafia? Could we have possibly voted out our first Mafia? It would be a glorious day if that was the case.

As soon as I reached the room, everyone began to stare me down, curious as to the outcome.

"Try," I called as I made my way towards my seat. "You have been voted out."

She stood up, sighing deeply. "I'm just a citizen."

Everyone groaned, most likely wondering what would have happened had the vote gone the other way.

Oh, my! I forgot about that round! Now THAT was intense! If I recall correctly, the Mafia ended up winning, right? I seem to remember groaning when the citizen was chosen for the tie-breaker. Haha.
Actually, I would be intrigued to find out your gimmicks you have picked up on...I love picking up on little things that can help in voting.

If it would make it easier for you guys, I may be able to find time tomorrow to go ahead and set up a page for you all the keep track of the votes that have gone out from day to day.

Rayrayfunray rubbed her eyes and shook her head to clear the fuzziness. Her attempts didn't seem to help much at all. She squinted her eyes, staring up above her. A neon light blinked Vertigo over and over again, imprinting the name in her mind. She moaned and again furiously rubbed her eyes.

Maybe loading up on alcohol at the nearest bar hadn't been such a good idea after all. Then again, it was taking her mind off of the last few day's events...

She stumbled along the dark sidewalk, avoiding the identical twins that were headed her way. She tripped over her feet as she swerved out of their way.

"Hey, watch out!"

They both sputtered at once. She squinted her eyes again. That was strange...

Shaking her head, she rubbed a sweaty palm across her forehead and turned around. Her body collided with another.

"Whoop, shorry!"

Several pairs of hands clutched her clothing, dragging her into an alleyway. She laughed, tugging at their hands and trying to free herself.

"This funny is..." her mind went blank as something collided with her head.

I frowned at the sight in front of me. Another masterpiece from our local Mafia. Here is this party's piñata. Since the fun has just begun, the note read. It had been attached to the sickening sight in front of us.

The citizen, RayRayfunray's body was hoisted in the air, streamers and confetti pasted to her skin. Inside her hollowed out body protruded candies. This was getting to a point of ridiculous. How could they keep up with these acts? We had to stop them...

It is now day time. Everyone, please vote!
