Pet Displays on my Profile Page

 ).I want to display the overlay that shows on my pets profile also on my profile page instead of the original graphic. I'm totally coding illiterate so need to know step by step how to do it. Thanks for any help that can be offered.

 @SongSparrathis information can be found in the CSS Compendium under User Profiles >> BASIC -- Pet headshot overlays Quote: So you've got an overlay for your pet, and updated its pet page to show that, but your user profile still displays the old headshot? That's normal, because your overlay isn't the image selected by Subeta to be set as the headshot. There's a workaround to that though! if you need any help deciphering any of the above, I'd be happy to help you

My bad I should have said I'd seen that but had no idea where the code went, and how to actually write up the code for the size of the overlay. I'm a bit confused on what to change and what not to as in, I want to keep Lucy's picture the same size as it is (just cover the existing graphic with the new) and not add boarders or anything (If I start trying that sort of thing I'll get totally lost lol). By the way I love your art, you're damn good, do you do overlays by any chance?

@SongSparraokay. Lucy is "pet_5" so your code heading should look like Code:
your width and height of pet images are currently 100 x 100, so that's what I'm keeping it at in the above code. the overlay you're using should be resized to 100 pixels x 100 pixels if you don't want to mess around with stuff. Let me know if you need help resizing something, it's pretty easy c: IF you don't want borders, then just don't add the code ( border: 1px #color solid; or whatever) the author of that post just decided to show people how to do a couple of fancier CSS tricks, sorry if that confused you any. and thank you c: I don't really do "subeta style" if you're looking for overlays that could pass off for normal subeta pets... nor do I take "public" (sP or subeta currency) commissions, just small private USD ones, so I'm sorry to disappoint.

Ok resizing I've done so that's ok the thing is where does this code go? Is it in user options/custom CSS? If so does it just go under the other CSS stuff (like the code for removing banners etc I mean)

@SongSparraLol this goes in your profile code (somewhere before </style> ) There are two ways to access this: navigation >> personal >> edit profile Then go to the widget that says 'profile' and edit that code OR Just go here !!! But you have to make sure that there's a profile widget on your profile page Also make sure you're putting that code between <style> code here </style> (just to make sure) (all the stuff you mentioned is custom css, which only affects what you see, not what somebody else sees) Last Edit by:

Man told you I'm bad at this! I put the code in and put in the url (also tried the Direct Link for Layouts http at tiny pic just in case) but when I opened my profile Lucy just looked the same?? JUST READ about the profile widget... what's that? Last Edit by:

 @SongSparraokay, good, you have the profile widget on your profile. this is the code you put on your profile: Code: #pet_6* .avatar_head {background-image: url(image URL); width: 100px!important; height: 100px!important; Lucy should be pet_5 anyway, you need to fix a couple of things, and then the code should look like Code:
(you missed a space and the end bracket, so the code never worked)

Bet you're wishing you never replied about this now  . I've copied everything across as said, have tried all 4 of the codes available at tinypic just in case and it still doesn't work. What if anything is suppose to be in the widget box as that is blank at the moment.

That's it I officially give up. I actually copied and pasted the code you have above, removed the spaces between the parenthesis and url as you said and it still isn't working so that's it I resign myself to the fact I'm a NOOB for this stuff and Subeta has won

 @SongSparraTry this. It's taken pretty much as is from Hongke's guide, because it seems there are some bits of it if taken away the code doesn't work. Ok copied and pasted that (gathered I had to remove the quotes from around the http address so did) and still no luck. Is there suppose to be something typed in the widget box at all I never found out about that as the box is there but it's blank?

@SongSparraSomething is odd here. Because if you look at my profile you'll see that the code works (with your example) I might be repeating some questions from Chen but you are typing it in here right, inside the style tags and all?

@SongSparraI noticed you changed the image url. Any particular reason why you did that? And does the overlay work if you use the url I have in my code (which Chen also used)?

The change in url was due to me trying the 4 options just in case one worked lol. So no, it doesn't make any difference *sigh*

@SongSparraOkay I edited the above code. As said I keep forgetting to change around between the pet numbers. Lucy is 5, but since my last pet is 4, I just work with 0. xD

@Opuslol thanks for taking over. I'm mostly stuck on mobile so I can't test these things out easily >< And I'd forgotten what the dimensions behind the bg image url() was for... ha... this case is rather strange (and when I copied things earlier chunks seemed to disappear at times too), good luck fixing it! (It will be done!)

@ ChenAhh, yeah mobile's make things difficult. And yeah this thing intrigued me sinc eI couln't see why it wasn't working. ^^; Oh and I don't even know what those dimensions are for, I just know tht when removed the code doesn't work. @SongSparra You probably didn't see it pre-edit then. x) Last Edit by:

@Opusokay, I looked at what was different in your profiles. For some reason, @SongSparra doesn't have the .avatar_head in her profile settings/page code. I think you'll need to click on "Reset V2 profile", and let's see if the .avatar_head setting comes back? otherwise we need to alter Hongske's code.NOOOO DON'T LEAVE! @SongSparraokay, go change Lucy's headshot to where you like it (so I know what numbers to give you to change your code) you also need to give me the URL of Lucy's overlay (you can just grab that from her profile code) @Opus hahaha... ya. The older version of the "v2" profiles (okay, the "v1"s were super super ancient and you couldn't customize them...) structured things differently. The newer "resetted" v2 profiles had more css-flexible features (like giving us the ability to alter pet overlays )Last Edit by:

(I would dig it up but it's not exactly easy for me right now haha) @Opus ya, I wasn't aware that they added stuff to v2s either, but the restructuring was good (I guess it's unannounced, like the pet page restructuring?) @SongSparrayou already have that widget - it's the one that says "mail user" and "send buddy request" cool, okay your code should now be Code:
