Hey guys, haven't been on here in a while. Not sure if this belongs here or in the general creativity forum, but I wanted to show off the newest quilt I worked on. :3
See quilt here! From top left to right: Super Mario, 1-Up Mushroom (Super Mario), Link (Legend of Zelda), Heart Piece (Legend of Zelda). I kinda goofed while putting the batting inside so it bunched up in the middle-- picture doesn't show it off that well.  I sent it to a friend of mine who moved about 6 1/2 hours away from here. I had so much fun sewing it, I'm making another one! It's going to be Adventure Time themed! Anyhow, now that I've dated myself, any other people got sewing projects they've been working on?

That might be the coolest quilt I've ever seen. It looks really fantastic! I have some pictures I should be inking, but I'm neglecting them for now.

@Reishika Thanks! And dawww, vulpix is one of my favorite pokemon! I would like to work with clay, the community college I attend has some pottery wheels that I'd love to learn how to use. @Ikanii Thank you! And what do you mean by inking? Like coloring in? I'm not super familiar with that kinda stuff, heh. @Ipsi Ah well, can't impress everyone! May I ask what you don't like about it? Anything I can improve on? EDIT:...of course, now I see the edit.  @Kramer LOOOOOOVE! That quilt is awesome. Your friend must be awesome, and lucky. I'm not into sewing, but my aunt was. She's always sewn things. I think we have this quilted-looking bear in our living room, still. We've had that bear for...10-15 years, I bet. It's really interesting since it's basically a square-patched quilt in the shape of a big teddy bear  Not to mention, I /think/ she sewed two Raggedy Ann big dolls for us, which are sitting on top of our China cabinet in the dining room. Again, that was forever ago, when I was in elementary. The most recent would be the college throw blanket that she recently made for me. It's themed around the college I'll be attending this fall |

@KramerOooh! Definitely give it a try! I wish I could go to college but.. No job or money. However experiencing using a spinning wheel is awesome! Make as much as you can! I wanna buy one but.. Oh my God, I love it. I can't wait to see the Adventure Time one when you're done! :'D I haven't really been sewing anything lately. I tried to sew a dress for a Rarity costume that I was making, but I'm taking an... extended break from that. haha. |

 That quilt is super awesome! I don't know much about sewing, unfortunately. It's a skill that I want to learn eventually. However, my grandmother can sew wonderfully and has made some quilts before. c:

 @Kramer Wow, that is an amazing quilt! Great job, how long did it take you if you don't mind me asking? I don't sew, but I do enjoy latch-hooking and cross-stitching  I need to get back on those projects! i miss them. |

I don't at the moment, mostly just lurk around, heh. I should probably consider setting one up for my jewelry and sewing stuffs though! @Chidiot Daww, that's awesome! I was kinda inspired to start sewing because my grandma sewed a bunch when I was younger. She made it sort of a side job for herself. No one else in the fam sews, so I decided to take a fashions class that my high school offered. The rest is history. @Reishika HOLY COW. Didn't know they were that expensive. >_> I'll definitely have to try it though, sounds fun! @HeyBrittany I totes will. Maybe I should make a ping group for this motha! And that's really cool dude. I would really like to sew a Poison Ivy from Batman cosplay for Halloween. c:@Penguin Hmmm, it took me about 40 hours, give or take. And duuuude, I forgot all about latch-hook. I haven't done that in YEARS. I should take on of my 50% coupons for Jo-Ann fabrics and pic up a kit! @Sugah @Slenderman @Psychedelia @_Cresenta_ @Prosaic @Primistra @iHEARTsnooze Thank you guys!

@Kramer Do ittt! A few years back I made a mini latch hook rug. It was this pattern ! There's something so relaxing about sitting down with all the pieces and putting it together. |

Admittedly, I never knew what I was supposed to do with my latch hooks when I finished them. I just always assumed they couldn't be rugs because they didn't have rubber bottoms to them. Silly little 12 year old me. >_> But yours. Yours is freaking SAH-WEET. @Ikanii Cool! I'm actually putting lots of my stuff on there right now, I'll make sure to find you.

Well, I can't say it'd be cheap. At least $80 minimum for money spent on it plus time working on it. The one in the picture was a little smaller than a twin. It was around 72"x76-ish" I think-- I recall adding on a few inches more than the pattern I made since I had the fabric to do it with. I could certainly make ones larger if wanted, however. I'd just add a few inches onto the squares used, the largest I'd probably go is probably a full/queen. King size would probably be too much for me, heh. @Torbjorn Well thank you! @Margarita Thanks! I kinda cheat the traditional hand method and just go at it with my sewing machine. Although it'd be maaaaad sweet to get one of this big 'ol quilting machines...
