I started playing yesterday, so I thought I should make a topic now that my account is old enough...
I'm Alice, or Amora, and I played neopets for quite some time, a friend mentioned this site to me in passing so I thought I would check it out. Already, everyone's been really kind to me! I like it here.

Erm, I'm seventeen and I'm a big Marvel fan-- the comics and the movies (and the one anime they put out a few years ago). I also like Supernatural, Sherlock, Doctor Who, Merlin, The Hunger Games... er, that's all I can think of.

I hope to have fun here! Thanks for being such a great community.

I'm still getting used to everything and working out the twists and turns, but everyone is just so kind-- I think that's the main difference between here and neopets!

yes it is hahaha. and thank you, they weren't cheap at all.

a lot of users are big on fashion, and most of us have accounts on this site. style-file is a cool way to keep up with other avatars and stuff, it's run by members from the guild Chic.

but anyways I KNOW, people on neo are so just... ugh. most of them are so immature its unreal.

Oh wow, that's such an awesome site!
I'll have to check it out. I've only got about 100k so I don't really have more wearables than what you see on my avatar now...
But I'm going to assume it's a thing you work up to!
I really like the custom wearables people have for fandoms... But I can't spend real money on websites unless I manage to find a card in the small place I live in. It's sort of unlikely, considering only one store stocks the cards you use for neopets... But someone told me you can spend SP on the credits?

What is your owl by the way? I really like that Subeta has a wishlist feature!

And yes, they really are. I think that, already, I've noticed people here tend to be older. When I was thirteen and playing on neopets it was fiiiine, but now I'm seventeen and still don't have a life. Subeta is much better for that age though. XD

my feather is the snowy one, but these are both hp tribute items (as i'm sure you could have guessed).

i just posted the eagle owl one in case you were curious. i think those are the only two? there might be one more, i'm not sure. if you hover other the image, you can click on the the little black + in the corner that will appear and it will add the item to your wishlist.

anyway yes you can buy credits from other users with sP, usually found in the advertising forum. like these:

then you can redeem them from your inventory to use or you can always purchase them again in the cash shop

and yes our community is sooo great, its one of the reasons i'm still around and haven't gotten bored/quit completely. it does have one downfall though, and that is if you break the rules then you're likely to get jumped, so make sure to check out the stickies in each forum haha. if you accidentally put a thread in the wrong forum, you can just ping a minimod to move it for you, each forum's minimods are listed inside at the top.

Oh wow, that's such an easier way of adding them to my wishlist.
Those cards are so expensive, but it's better than on neopets where you can't buy them at all or even gift items to people! It would be a good get-rich-quick thing for a new user like me if I could actually find the redeemable cards in a store here, huh? xD
I don't think I'd spend my money on something that wasn't for me though... It would be more satisfying if it were.

Okay! I will be sure to check out all the rules. I read the FAQ and the site rules when I first joined, but I thought they seemed just a little vague for the forums.. It's good to know they all have their own sets of rules that you can read when you come to them, rather than being bombarded.

And you're allowed to link offsite here! That's really cool, in my opinion. Seems to be a lot more freedom.

you can do almost anything, besides post porn haha. there is also a language filter (you can turn it on and off in your preferences) so you can say whatevaaaa you want
