 @FloydYou can drink at 18 where you are? Lucky :p Um, I like hard lemonades, Smirnoff, Kahlua makes some delicious mixed drinks like a mudslide...um...I like anything with rum, but be careful with that. Rum tends to hit you out of nowhere. Pina coladas are always a good fallback, and margaritas are pretty good too. Also happy birthday!

 @Floyd - Happy birthday! =D Eh, I'm 23 and still don't like alcoholic drinks much. But the lemonade-like drinks are okay, if you don't drink too many of them (and avoid drinking in the heat). Edit: I do love Bailey's, especially in my coffee! Last Edit by:

 @Floyd Long Island Iced Teas are good. But I'm a rum drinker meself, so I like Kraken - although Captain Morgan Black is also good. (Kraken is much better, though!) Happy Birthday.

If you like ciders you should give Strongbow a try. Very good stuff. I'm not entirely sure where you live but Alexander Keith's cider is excellent as well if you can get it (it's super appley!). As for lemonade, Mike's Hard lemonade is quite good. They have a blueberry cocktail thing too and pink lemonade. I agree with @Hamartia too, you'll probably like Long Island Iced Tea! Also, THE KRAKEN! When it comes to hangovers, I got some advice: always eat after you go out drinking. It'll settle your stomach if you have something substantial and drink some juice with it. Gatorade is the best because it'll hydrate you and give you electrolytes. Popcorn is pretty unoffensive for a snack but fast food probably won't do you much harm either. My favourite is shawarma, they're so delicious! EDIT: Derp, I forgot to ping you, @Floyd. And Happy Birthday too! n.n! Last Edit by:

@Floyd Happy birthday! Captain Morgan 100 proof Spiced Rum mixed with Arnold Palmer Half & Half is my favorite. I also like cheap red wine and flavored vodkas. Malibu Rum and Fruit Punch together is also a lovely combination, dangerous because you don't feel like you're drinking, but oh so delicious. |

Cherry coke + vodka is so good, I drink it all the time for like any time of the day lol. It's not a very classy drink though so maybe not for your b-day. Happy b-day btw!!

 White russians are amazing. It's kahlua, vodka, and half and half or milk. Not sure of the measurements but you could look it up online. Other than that I just generally have rum and coke or Dr. Pepper and vodka. And smirnoffs are yummy :3 |

I don't really like alcohol. I turned 21 in april and am now legal to drink... I drink even less now. Appletinis are good if you're out somewhere, schnapps are good, flavored vodka.. that's about it. I grew up around alcoholics so the smell of beer makes me want to gag and ruined alcohol for me.

"1/2 oz Blue Curacao liqueur 1/2 oz Sour Puss® raspberry liqueur Pour both ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a shot glass, and serve" If you don't have the shaker/ice, just half-and-half will work for shots! Pour into lemonade or sprite for a mixed drink. I love me a porn star lemonade.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I recently actually found out about this drink, and it's probably the best thing on the earth. It doesn't even taste like alcohol. What you do, is get a shot of Peppermint Schnapps, and before you do the shot, pour some chocolate syrup in your mouth. Then do the shot. It tastes like one of those Peppermint Patties. Best thing ever.

What I like to drink that hasn't been mentioned yet is MIdori, which is a melon liqueur, and Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey. Both are great because they don't have the strong alcohol taste, just that nice burning feeling as you drink it~ Smirnoff Ices are always excellent also, and much easier to drink. :3 edit; derp, Happy Birthday! @Floyd Happy Birthday! If you like non alcoholic ciders then I would probably recommend Kopparberg cider its lovely and comes in lots of flavours like mixed berry and strawberry and lime  Or if you want something stronger I love Sailor Jerry, its rum, and is delicious with coke! Enjoy

Usually my boyfriend and I make "jungle juice" though which is basically a cocktail of 151, vodka, and whatever juice we happen to have lying around the house- usually cranberry mixed with pineapple or mango. 151 is strong as hell so you can only add a little and it tastes like pure juice but hits you HARD out of nowhere. If you want straight up liquor, a shot of Jameson Irish Whiskey is good, but it will burn like hell. If you like cinnamon, the Fireball Whisky is AWESOME. Mikes Hard Lemonade is TASTY. I like the lime, the pomegranate, and if you can find the raspberry one (if it's in season) it's MY FAVE. Or perhaps you want something to spike your coffee? Get some Baileys AND Kahlua. "Yo dawg, I heard you like coffee, so I put some coffee booze in yo coffee." XD Want beer? Get Shock Top. Want it to have a different aftertaste? Get Shock Top Raspberry Wheat. It's SO GOOD. :3 Hi. My favourite summer drinks include granville island raspberry ale, mojitos and white wine sangrias! I make my own with gin soaked peaches, basil and sparkling peach water (with any cheap white wine). Delicious stuff. Around the fall/winter I usually go for something rich like Guinness. Apple ciders and mulled wine are also really good in the cold months

happy belated birthday!! personally i prefer just a standard (not light) beer, which is usually cheap haha... so if youre the one buying the drinks it wont be too expensive <; my first one was a miller light, but regular miller is just perfect for me, honestly. i find that sweet alcohol is really gross to me because the alcohol makes it taste incredibly weird with sweet things! but it really depends on what ranges of taste you have and your preferences. o:

@Floyd Well I don't know about drinks from bars and such, since I'm not yet legal...  But my favs are just plain Smirnoff Vodka, Jägermeister, and many different kinds of beers! I'd suggest Pabst Blue Ribbon, or Bud Light as they're both cheap. Also, for the summer, try Coors Light Iced Tea! A ton of people don't like it, but I personally love it. |

I hate Jagermeister; either you swear by it or you absolutely hate it. If you want to start trying beer, I would try a pear or apple cider and/or some hefeweizens and pale ales. Those are very light, won't fill you up, and are good to start off with. Just depends on what you like. The best suggestion I can say is to have an open mind and to give the beer in your glass a fighting chance. If it's cheap, it'll probably taste that way,.. and don't forget the wine!

You can also try Gin with tonic water and a lemon. That's really good. My mom makes this drink with Wine and passion fruit juice. Its really good and sweet depending on how much passion fruit juice you add.(Passion Fruit Sangria) Last Edit by:

Happy Belated Birthday! (: Hmm, booze... I really like Captain Morgan's Spiced & coke. Mmmmm. Tastes like vanilla ice cream <3 Aftershock is good for shots and comes in several flavours. The original cinnamon is awesome but there's a blue one too which is citrusy and really, really good! The downside is that it's kind of expensive. :c Raspberry vodka & lemonade (with a few optional 'real' raspberries thrown in!) is lush. In fact, most flavoured vodkas are pretty yummy with a decent mixer. Pimm's & lemonade also = classic summer drink, but again, pricey. And if you like non-alcoholic cider, I suggest Brothers. It's only about 4% so pretty weak, but tasty! They do the most amazing strawberry and toffee apple flavours. I'm also a fan of Jack Daniel's and the occasional G&T. (:

 pucker is good stay away from any dark liquor at first, i used to live off of captain morgan and coke (my favorite no matter what) just like @Haze c:but now i'm pregnant so i can't. i don't know how many times i got sick off captain when i FIRST started drinking, stick with malibu, pucker and other flavored liquors to start out with if your new with drinking.

Wow, we like our liquor here on subeta, apparently! I'm not a big drinker of pre-mixed drinks or cocktails... I actually thought I "didn't really like alcoholic drinks" until I actually hit 21 and was old enough to start buying nice beers instead of the cheap stuff my friends were buying. Turns out I really do like booze, just not Smirnoff or Pabst Blue Ribbon (which you probably don't even have outside of the US, but you aren't missing anything). So if you try some stuff and you're like, "man, this is crap!" it might not just be you; it might actually be crap. I'm going to second what @sanguineheart said here. If you just want to get a little tipsy and have a good time, yeah, you can pretty much mix anything into a cocktail, but if you want to drink wine/beer though, there are tons of different stripes and flavors of stuff to try, so go out on a limb and try something new. Wine is heavily regional and a little expensive, but I really like drinking local/craft beer because lots of places in the world have local breweries, and the difference between a cheap beer and a great beer is not a huuuuge price jump (whereas getting a really nice bottle of wine can be pretty pricey where I live).
