What happens when your dreams become reality, you can hear other people's thoughts, or control the weather? You start to wonder if you really are normal. You think you're safe, until others use their new found powers for their own benefits. Now there are government agents in the once peaceful streets, looking for those who are different, the Gifted. Some agents come door to door, interrogating suspects and the innocent alike. Why are you different? Why do they hate you? You haven't done anything wrong. But the real question, will you stand up or hide in the shadows?

Played by User not found (1): Amber12
Name: Jessica Ingram
Nickname: Jess
Age: 17
Appearance: My current avatar
Attitude: Jessica is always very happy and optimistic. She has a hard time trusting people, but goes out of her way to help her friends. Jessica hates when people call her Jessie. She can be very quiet and shy when meeting new people, but can be quite silly once she gets to know them. She has a really hard time talking to guys. Jessica is the type of person who will sit and listen to people rant without judging, but rarely speak her own mind. And for the safety of everyone around her, don't give her coffee!
Citizen/Agent/Gifted: Gifted
Power: Jessica can control, conjure, and manipulate fire. She hasn't quite learned how to completely control her ability. When she gets angry, any nearby fire will flare up.
History: Jessica was born into a happy family, her brother was born 3 years later. They all live a normal life, even with the odd agent coming and asking questions. Jessica hasn't told her brother or her parents that she's one of the Gifted, and worries constantly when the agents come around.

Name: Amy Wilhern
Nickname: None
Age: 23
Appearance: Amy is average height and has a muscular build, her skin is tanned. She has grey eyes which are framed by red hair that falls down to the small of her back and jagged bangs. She usually has her hair pulled back in a braid. She wears a green tank top and a black biker's jacket to cover the scars on her arms, grey cargo pants, and black boots.
Attitude: Amy only talks as much as needed and prefers to keep to herself. She will socialize on the rare occasion, but prefers to work alone. She has been known to become chatty when given coffee.
Citizen/Agent/Gifted Agent/Gifted: Gifted Agent
Power: Amy can heal a person by transferring the injury to herself. When the injury heals, it leaves a small scar as a reminder of the wound. Depending on how bad the injury is, it will heal slightly faster than normal, but she heals normally when she injures herself. Amy is not aware that she is Gifted.
History: Although young, Amy has been working for the government since she was out of high school. She is highly respected for her work, even if she is a lower rank than most. Amy isn't one to talk about her past with other people, but there are the odd rumors floating around. Some think she was abused and that's how she got the scars. Others think she had a run in with one of the Gifted. The truth is, even Amy doesn't know. She can't remember the first 15 years of her life.

Played by crack_weasel
Name: Lillian Chan
Nickname: Lily (sometimes endearingly called "Lily pad" by her close friends)
Age: 8
Appearance: Inheriting her father's Asian traits, Lily has dark, narrow eyes and fair skin. She also has jet-black hair, which she always has in high pigtails tied with butterfly bands. Still having a bit of baby fat, Lily has more rounded facial features (including very pinch-able cheeks. She hates it when people do that, though.) Her favorite outfit is an over sized cyan T-shirt with butterflies printed on it, which she usually wears with blue jeans and gold strapped sandals.
Attitude: Lily is very outgoing and has no qualms with talking to strangers. However, due to a traumatic experience a few years ago, she suddenly gets very shy around people wearing sunglasses. She has a bright personality, and is almost always smiling.
Normal/Gifted/Agent: Gifted
Power: Defying gravity. She can't fly, but she can jump much higher than a normal person, and can slow down a fall. Though she has not yet refined the ability, she can also move incredibly fast in both speed and agility.
History: Lily's mom died soon after giving birth, and for the first few years of her life, she was raised by her father. However, one day when she was 5, he suddenly disappeared. Unable to fend for herself, Lily tried to find him but was attacked in an alley by a gang whose members wore sunglasses. In her attempt to escape, she found out she was Gifted when she tried to avoid them. Even with her power, Lily couldn't escape. But before any physical damage was done, she was saved by a man who happened to be passing along at that moment. Mentally damaged from the incident, she was taken in by her savior Allen Carlson. Even after she recovered, he decided to raise her permanently after realizing she was an orphan. Lily quickly grew attached to him and eventually stopped searching for her father. Now she lives as normal of a life as a Gifted child can have.

Name: Allen Carlson
Nickname: None
Age: 36:
Appearance: He has very angular features, and due to his severe smoking habit, he looks older than he really is. Even so, he is incredibly physically fit, and ironically hardly ever gets out of breath. He has dark brown hair, and sports sideburns and a short beard. With a medium height and medium build, Allen pretty much looks like the Caucasian everyman. Of course, one look in his intense green eyes proves that he is anything but normal. That, and his strange wardrobe choice. Allen seems to have forgotten that this is no longer the 1930s, because he seems to be stuck in it. He typically wears a white long-sleeved dress shirt and black slacks, complete with black suspenders and black loafers. Occasionally, he'll wear a tie with the ensemble, but not often. If anyone asked, he'd say he just likes dressing that way. But no one ever asks.
Attitude: Allen is very aloof, and hardly ever talks. When he does, he is direct and comes across as being rigid and stern. However, over the years he has developed a soft spot for Lily, and has gradually assumed the role of a father in her life as opposed to a protector. He is very protective of her, and is untrusting of everyone, especially with the Agents running around.
Normal/Gifted/Agent: Normal
Power: None............that is, unless his marksmanship and skill in hand-to-hand combat would be considered a Gift.
History: As a child, he lived a completely normal life, devoting his spare time to martial arts. He taught himself how to use a gun when his father handed down an original Beretta 92 pistol. He eventually became a police officer, but later retired from the force once many officers began being recruited as Agents. He became a free-lance law enforcer, acting on his basis of morality rather than the law directly. He almost stopped doing that altogether once he found Lily, in order to protect her. However, he won't hesitate to act if he sees something that is within his power to fix.

Played by Izumi_Sama
He goes by Lee.
He is Nineteen.
Lee is six foot two and 175 pounds with an athletic build. He has a white diamond stud in his left ear and his eyes are a chocolate brown.
He comes across as cold and rude but thats only because he does not want to get close to anyone. However, Lee will always have your back (no matter what) especially if you are a Gifted but that doesn't mean he trusts or likes you.
He is labelled as Gifted.
Classified as being Telepathic. However, Lee's telepathic powers increase when he makes physical contact with someone. From a distance he gets a feeling like he knows what you might be thinking or what you might do, might be feeling, or what you might say (not always necessarily right), but when he touches someone he knows what is going on in their mind, what they're about to do next, and so on. He is able to turn this on and off, so he doesn't drive himself mad with other peoples "feelings."
History: Lee's Gifted parents were killed when he was four causing him to be placed in an orphange. He had not awakened to his powers yet and when he was six he was adopted by normal Citizens. His adoptive parents were not aware that his biological parents were Gifted and raised him as a normal child. Lee became known to his powers when he was twelve, but never told anyone, including his parents. He used it to manipulate people and get things he wanted. This went on until he was fourteen, when the Agents started to be more prominent on the streets although he was not afraid of them. However, after being arrested for petty crimes he let his powers slip during the interrogation by anticipating everything the officer was going to say. With Agents watching this interview, they started to watch Lee very closely.
In the middle of the night, fifteen year old Lee watched his parents get taken away by Agents for "holding a unreported Gifted" for several years and made an example of to everyone in the city. Their faces were plastered everywhere walls, windows, street lamps and all over the news, deemed as criminals who were "planning the destruction of the government." Lee never saw his parents again, and went into serious hiding from the Agents until people forgot about what happened. By seventeen he walked the streets again, dyed his hair blonde, changed his name to "Lee" and is keeping his family name a secret.
Extra: Lee is not his real name. He adopted that name to keep himself and anyone he assoicates with safe. Lee is not scared of Agents and he hates everything about them. He wants a revolution and wants to find Gifteds willing to join him.

Played by archegos
Name: Evelyn Anderson
Nickname: Evie
Age: 30
Appearance: Evie is tall and lean but doesn’t carry her figure with much posture, pride or confidence. Her face is subtly expressive, but her eyebrows often furrow upward a bit of their own accord and cause to her look consistently worried or spacey. She’s hygienic and well put-together, but doesn’t do much above and beyond that. She almost always wears black, especially coats and manageable heels and turtlenecks.
Attitude: Evie consistently gives off a gentle I-could-be-your-theattacker vibe and seems to have an almost inexhaustible patience. However, she has a few holes in her armor of easy-goingness: she cannot tolerate excessive dramatics, and completely loses grace for someone after about the second time they lie to her. Evie will listen to you and your problems for hours and genuinely want to help, but as soon as she catches you exaggerating or lying, she will carefully put up a hand to signal you to stop, say something witty and biting, and then excuse herself.
Citizen/Agent/Gifted: Agent & Gifted
Power: Evie can tell when you’re lying. Or, rather, her gut can--upon hearing a lie, she feels a slight pang in her abdominal region, without fail. It’s mildly uncomfortable but not very painful, but prolonged time with liars can get exhausting.
History: Evie grew up in a friendly suburb with two parents that loved her: her dad was a car salesman and her mom was the manager of the local crafts store. They were sweet, caring folks that went to church and bought her ice cream and all that jazz. They were rather disinterested and dull, though, and when their daughter tried to talk to them about anything from philosophy to the strange thing happening to her every time someone said something wrong, they waved their hands and said something along the lines of, “Well, that’s nice.”

While her parents busied themselves with their sunshine-y lives, Evie began to experience a number of minor traumas. When she was 16, she swears she fell in love--and the 18-year-old boy responded in kind. Except every time he said, “I love you, too, babe!” she felt a pang somewhere in her stomach. When relatives would come over and tell her how great she looked and how beautiful she was, she felt a pang. When friends told her they didn’t mind hearing her troubles, when other friends complimented her, when date after date tried to say something sweet--little stabs of discomfort right in the gut. Finally, she gave up. When she was twenty-three she made a pact: the world is full of selfish, stupid liars and I’m sick of it. I’m out. No more friends, no more dating, no more family--she put herself through college, got her Masters, and went to work for the government with the express goal of catching people who lie. They recognized her abilities pretty quickly and sent her into a special program intent on finding individuals that might to be useful for research. She soared, and her patience, organizational skills and hard work landed her a comfy higher position.
But, to this day, she is completely unaware of the darker side of the program. All she knows is that she’s supposed to find and turn in people with weird abilities, and then they are used in research that could help everything from finding a cure for cancer and other diseases to improving back surgeries. As far as she’s concerned, she’s doing the world a favor--but, perhaps subconsciously, she hasn’t submitted herself to any of the testing. The frightened looks on a lot of the incoming subjects’ faces haven’t settled with her very well.

Played by Curiosity
Name: Beryl Eveens
Nickname: Bear (Her twin's pet name for her ; now used because some part of her arms are always bare)
Age: 17
Appearance: A slender body of 5'4 usually clad in torn dark gray jeans with a pocket-filled belt hanging off her hips. A black 1/4 sleeve top exposes an inch of pale skin near her stomach and the top scoops down to her collar bone. A crimson red jacket is thrown over one of her shoulders, matching in color to her old beat-up converses. Never changing are two silver rings, one on her right thumb the other on her left ring finger and a thin black cord that hangs from her neck the end resting in the middle of her chest hidden from sight. The most attention grabbing of her features is the fact she only has one sparkling teal eye, the other covered by a white medical eye-patch.
Attitude: Although she's missing her other half, the bite and cheek are all still present, though lacking in the previously innocent playfulness. On the outside you'll find a sarcastic, detached girl who doesn't care about anyone but herself. Internally an all-around sweetheart suffering from her share of guilt. Someone who can't stand getting close to anyone else to only end up losing them, to either the government or hurting them herself.
Citizen/Agent/Gifted: Gifted
Powers: The ability to manipulative blood, stretching from something as simple as sealing a bleeding wound or forming it into a lethal weapon. Her recovery time and ability to restore blood is much quicker than the normal human. The only downside is that blood is a limited source. The liquid having to come from somewhere, either herself or other people. Her brother's power also transferred to her, giving her the abilities to pin-point any other of the Gifted. Identifying any of their powers after a brief physical contact, even something as simple as fingertips brushing.
History: Beryl's family was ripped apart by the government, both parents were searchers who scouted around looking for the Gifted. Little did they know two of them were living right under their nose. Both Beryl and her twin brother had abilities that would be defined as abnormal marking them as targets for the government. Unlike her brother, Beryl had no knowledge on how to control her powers, she would have said that she didn't posses any. But her brother's ability allowed him to pin-point any gifted people in the area along with their gift, knowing his sister had one. Together the trained, trying to master their gifts, however one day the were caught, their parents had come back early from a raid. At the age of 13 the twins were separated forever and to this day Beryl blames herself for not being able to stop the flow of blood from her brother's chest.
Extra Information: Her eye was lost the day her twin died, as her parents tried to kill her as well. It was the first time she used her powers offensively and had little control over it. Her parent's suffered from it, both losing their lives to their daughter's "gift". For the past 4 years Beryl has mastered her own powers as well as her brother's, now even able to classify someone's gift after making eye contact.

Played by Goldy
Name: Jamie Horton
Nickname (if any): None
Age: 19
Appearance: Jamie keeps her brown hair around shoulder length. She weighs in at 105lbs which fits her 5'3 frame pretty well. Her build is average, because of her ability she doesn't need to use a lot of physical force. Her face is oval in shape with a medium sized nose and bright hazel eyes. Generally she wears cargos or jeans paired with a green t-shirt. She seems to always have a slight tan, shown by her ever present watch tan from being outside a lot.
Attitude: Jamie is jumpy around new people but if she sees somebody around enough she'll talk to them. Unless you seem 'shady' to her she's generally open and helpful. If something seems off she'll hold her opinion of you for a little while then decide. When Jamie doesn't trust somebody, depending on the person, she'll either be very hostile or generally try to avoid you. Jamie is usually happy and goes along with whatever is happening.
Citizen/Agent/Gifted: Gifted
Power (if any): Jamie is a telekinetic. She hasn't really tried to move anything bigger than a large tree but she think's that she has enough of a Gift to move heavier things. Jamie enjoys manipulating small things, they cost her very little energy, if any, and they help keep tight control on her ability.
History: Jamie grew up with her family until the government really started to look for Gifteds. When others started being investigated she ran away from home, living in the wilderness for the past couple years. She misses her family but believes it's for their own protection, they know that she is a Gifted. To get food she usually relies on her skill controlling things like rocks and arrows to hunt rather than a bow or a guns accuracy. When she finds a town she tends to try to blend in until she needs moeny. Jamie earns earns money street performing, showing off her ability before disappearing for stretches at a time so that the government has difficulty investigating her.
Any extra information (if any): She used to do gymnastics and can still apply her old skill when needed.

Played by Labelle-Jeile
name: William Jeile (pronounced Jail)
nickname: none
age: 28
appearance: Very beautiful, has long layered curly cream colored hair, ice blue eyes like a husky's has really fair skin and ruby lips. People often mistake William as a girl at first glance but when they see him up close realize it's just a really gorgeous guy. What he wears depends on his mood typically he wears black leather pants and a white ruffled shirt tucked in slightly.
personality: Very manipulative, and charming/charismatic. William always charms everyone he meets and makes everyone love him with his personality. Although William may seem kind, charming, and innocent at first underneath it lies probably the most wicked soul among men. William isn't afraid to crush anyone to get what he wants and is willing to kill a child if it got him what he wanted.
Gift: Although he can make anyone fall in love with him if anyone finds out his true face he'll no longer be able to control them any longer such with the case with his sister. His main gift is to send people in a trance anytime he sings and has the ability to induce sexual arousal, and can inspire anyone. Plus although it isn't a power he's really gorgeous.
Lee or Evie could probably see past his charade.
history: William doesn't really have a sad past in fact his life would rival many . He was born into an extremely rich family, adored by everyone he encountered and graduated with honors and because of his personality or power he got everything he wanted. The real truth about William's past however was that although he had a great power to inspire and create peace, he was born without a conscience, and instead became a sociopath. William found out about his power when he was just seven years old when he got a nanny he didn't like fired by taking her cigarettes and burning his arms with it framing her, and that no matter what the nanny said only William was believed despite all evidence against him. Finding his power a little disappointing William decided to study powerful leaders when he fell upon three books that would change his life entirely. One of them was a book about Alexander the Great and how he was able to take over the world in his youth the other book was a dystopian novel titled "Brave New World." and finally the third was a book about the third Reich and how Hitler rose to power. When William turned eighteen he slowly and gradually poisoned his father and was granted power over attorney and inherited his father's entire estate and company which at the time was a weapon and research facility which soon turned into Division Six.

name: Jareth Pierre
age: 36
appearance: Very dark complexion but mostly surrounded in a shroud of darkness or enveloped with darkness making him look like a man composed of shadowy mist. When not in that form he's bald with a goatee and dark brown eyes and a worry line. Very muscular, and always wears a black leather trench coat a turtle neck and black pants with military boots.
personality: To the point, and very loyal to not only division six but to William as well. Never really talks on account of his Caribbean accent but when he does his voice is stern. Jareth has no shame in killing anyone not even a child, which he's done once after he had his way with the child's mother. The only time he feels guilt is when he disappoints William which he hardly does.
citizen/agent/gifted?: Gifted/ Agent
Gift: Shadow /darkness manipulation can create portals through the shadows, and create darkness. His main weakness would be anyone who generate any form of light because then it could overpower the darkness.
history: Jareth Grew up in the slums of the Caribbean and raised himself until one day he discovered his gift which he used to kill and torment as revenge for anyone who had hurt him when he was little. At the age of eighteen he discovered he could create portals through the shadows which he used to get to America, and it was there he discovered it was no better. When Jareth was 28 he had his way with a woman and murdered her in front of her child and afterwards killed the child so she couldn't squeal on him. Well as it turned out the woman was just so happened to be married to an Agent who then captured Jareth trapping him in a room that disabled any use of his powers. Just when Jareth was about to give up William freed him and offered him a position at Division six starting their friendship.

Name: Labelle Jeile
nickname: Belle
age: 23
appearance: Has a skin pigment disorder making her skin completely white like bleach white. Has waist length wavy scarlet red hair that covers part of her eye. Has crystal blue eyes and blood red lips. Labelle's most prominent feature is that she has the body of Jessica Rabbit including bust size. Labelle usually wears purple, gold, green, or dark red.
personality: Labelle can be very sarcastic and teasing but when speaking to people comes off very charming and elegant. Labelle can be very promiscuous when she finds a guy she likes or tries to seduce her way into getting what she wants. She doesn't really think about what her actions do to others until it's too late, and has a softness for children since she can never have one. Labelle never talks when her brother's in the room and will remain reserved and quiet.
citizen/agent/gifted: Citizen mostly, will do agent work if her brother commands her to.
history: Labelle is William's younger sister and the target of his abuse and probably the only one who knows about William's true wickedness. Labelle hates her brother with a burning passion and loves the idea of him failing. Whenever William is upset, or aggravated he takes it out on Labelle and lives to make her life miserable. When she was 18 she had an affair with an agent and as a result got pregnant. When William found out he ordered for the child to be removed and be used for research resulting it to be experiment 18. Labelle wasn't allowed any contact with her child or any details about him she doesn't even know what he looks like or what he looked like.

The girl's just a trick...

@Amber12 - I've got a pre-existing character that fits right in with having gifted powers :] I'll try to see if I can get a friend or two to join. I'll also be making an agent if that's all right. Oh, and coconut.

Name: Othello William Hayden
Nickname (if any): N/A
Age: 18
Appearance: At 5'8" with a lean muscular build, Othello has fair freckled skin and shaggy, salmon-colored hair. His face is still boyishly round with a turned up nose and bright, large light blue eyes. An avid tennis player, both his arms and legs have defined muscles, but he usually wears a large navy pull-over that makes his muscular arms not quite so noticeable. The rest of his outfit consists of simple t-shirts, jeans, and worn out tennis shoes.
Attitude: Extremely goofy and hyper, Othello can be borderline obnoxious and annoying at times. He doesn't seem to have a serious bone in his body, but on rare occasions his mood can turn far south.
Citizen/Agent/Gifted: Gifted
Power (if any): While Othello may be considered 'gifted,' his power causes him more grief than anything else. Othello is a medium of sorts, becoming possessed at random by ghosts needing temporary use of a body. Othello, unfortunately, can't see ghost or even sense them, only realizing his body has been taken over by becoming a floating, translucent spirit himself. Having ghost like powers might seem like fun, but he fears he may not be able to re-enter his body. Othello's only true sense of warning that danger might be near is getting a nosebleed, which doesn't necessarily mean a ghost, but anything that can be potentially bad.
History: Named after the signature character of the tragic play by his Shakespearean-enthused parents, Othello grew up around the theater scene but found it quite boring. Truly marching to his own tune, Othello's never been able to make friends easily as his silly songs, jokes, and general randomness created far more enemies. The sudden death of his parents in a car crash at age 14 still didn't keep him from being his oddball self, and he ended up moving in with a guardian. His guardian, however, never put any real parental restrictions on Othello, letting him pretty much run wild. Given his reckless nature, Othello pays no attention to the agents and even if he did, he'd find them more of a challenge than something to fret over.
Any extra information (if any): His favorite music artist in the entire world is Michael Jackson. Don't diss MJ or he'll freak out.

Name: Gilles Montagu
Nickname (if any): Salt - he rarely ever goes by his given name.
Age: 42
Appearance: At 6'3" with olive skin, Salt is somewhat lanky but has a strong build and large hands. He has very masculine features, a squared jaw, and a salt and peppered crew cut hairstyle. He also has neatly trimmed black facial hair, but a few grays are beginning to show. His clothes consist of a black suit jacket with white collared shirt underneath, a gray tie, and black suit pants. A pair of aviator glasses are usually in his jacket's breast pocket or covering his dull green eyes. He has a pair of very polished black combat boots that conceal a knife in the sole.
Attitude: Extremely arrogant and somewhat of a prankster. He's capable of having quite a ruthless mean streak.
Citizen/Agent/Gifted: Not-so gifted agent
Power (if any): Anything he touches that contains sugar turns into salt, hence his nickname. May all your sweets suffer.
History: Salt probably would have turned out a normal guy if he wasn't in the strange predicament of having perhaps one of the worst "gifts" ever. Never being able to enjoy anything sweet and having to worry about his sodium intake, Salt made it his goal to make other people with gifts suffer since he never got to do anything "cool." However, even normal people and other agents have to put up with his revenge, as he makes it a habit of turning sugar packets into salt and ruining donuts shared in the break room. Don't mistake his somewhat childish pranks as a sign of weakness though. When it comes to being an agent and hunting the gifted, he's one of the best at breaking people.
Any extra information (if any): He's divorced and has a 12-year old son. His son, other than practical jokes, is about the only thing he seems to like.

...with a dash of wit.

@Amber12 this sounds awesome I've been looking for an awesome superpower type role-play to join. I'll go ahead and post my skelly if that's cool. Oh and I almost forgot not a big fan of coconuts

Name: Tobias Crutch
nickname: None
Age: 12

appearance: basically my avatar except that his hair is almost black, so really dark brown and has black eyes always wears a color scheme of gold yellow and light blue.
attitude: Tobi is very kind and innocent to a point that he is naive. He never has a hard time trusting people which can lead him in very bad situations and because he lived in a jungle on a remote island with very few people he's never received an education so he's not too bright. Tobi is also very adventurous always looking for new things to discover and is a brave person never backing down from anyone or anything making him reckless at times. Another thing is that Tobi would never take a life no matter how awful that person was to him or others he won't do it.
Citizen/Agent/Gifted: Gifted
power: energy manipulation in other words he can manipulate his own energy to increase his physical attributes such as strength and senses, draw energy from his body for energy blasts and can sense other people's aura's. His main weakness is that if he uses too much energy it could tap into his life force and kill him or he could overwhelm his body by drawing more energy than he can handle also killing him.
history: Tobi grew up on a poor island that's unknown to most people, and because Tobi was born during a war people on the island thought he was an omen besides his mother who did her best to protect him. His dad on the other hand would beat him. When Tobi turned seven his mother who was gravely sick decided to take her own life and Tobi not wanting to live in the village anymore decided to take his chances and live in the jungle which fit him perfectly, but when turning twelve he met an adventurer and decided that he wanted to see the world too. (That's to just sum it up there's more but I'll explain later in my posts.)
Other: Travels the world with his best friend Prince.

name: Experiment 18
nickname: Prince (due to his attitude) not by choice but because that's what Tobi named him when the two met
age: technically 5 but mentally and physically twelve
appearance: Has fair skin and choppy flaxen blonde hair, but the thing that really defines him are his lavender colored eyes. Prince typically wears a short sleeved turtle neck hoodie and grey capri shorts.
attitude: Cold to people he doesn't know or trust but kind and mischievous to his friends but because of his personality he only has one friend and that's Tobi. Very brave and pompous at times very different from Tobi in that he can be very cunning and unlike Tobi he isn't afraid to take a life. He can be a brat at times, but deep down he really is a nice guy he's just harsh on people.
Citizen/Agent/Gifted: Gifted but ex agent he quit after befriending his target.
power: (SAME AS TOBI) energy manipulation in other words he can manipulate his own energy to increase his physical attributes such as strength and senses, draw energy from his body for energy blasts and can sense other people's aura's. His main weakness is that if he uses too much energy it could tap into his life force and kill him or he could overwhelm his body by drawing more energy than he can handle also killing him.
HISTORY: Prince was created in a government facility to be the perfect weapon and to track down other gifted and to bring them in to either join the government or to be killed. Wanting the weapon to be easily controlled scientists agreed to make him a child rather than an adult, the age acceleration process took five years to complete hence why he looks and acts twelve when he actually is five. The scientists decided to give Prince the same power as Tobi after they had watched him take out government officials trying to reprimand him, and when Prince was created he was the perfect killing machine. Things however changed when Experiment 18 met Tobi because they were evenly matched and the same age the two became friends rather than enemies. The two now travel the world together both thirsting for adventure.

OOC;; @Amber12 Couldn't wait to post my skelly, too excited about this roleplay, hope thats okay ^^;;

He goes by Lee.
He is Nineteen.

Xx

In the middle of the night, forteen year old Lee watched his parents get taken away by Agents for "holding a unreported Gifted" for several years and made an example of to everyone in the city.

{ Coconut! I love coconuts. c: #Awrn
Name: Alec Preston Northe
Nickname (if any): Alec
Age: 21
Appearance: round face, freckles, has gold-toned oval glasses, and wears them most of the time despite just being mildly hyperopic. He's a little on the short side (5'6''), and has rough, medium-length brown hair. Brown eyes with green highlights around the pupil. He's a little on the husky side, and isn't particularly physically fit. His voice is somewhat raspy-sounding and a bit throaty due to vocal damage. Clothes tend a bit toward the hipster side. If the weather's cold, he likes black turtlenecks and jeans, in the Steve-Jobsian style. In hotter weathers he wears vivid plaid shirts and shorts.

Attitude: Alec was home-schooled throughout his youth by his yuppie parents Neil and Jonquil, and so is a bit socially awkward. He is competitive, idealistic, and often a bit full of himself. He had hoped, as a child, to become a surgeon or a pathologist, like his father; but his frequent childhood hospitalizations for illnesses like TB dashed those hopes, as on-record he is insanely disease-prone and few people want to take a risk on him. He's a little bitter over it, naturally, and still loves science and medicine. He loves to feel like he knows more than other people, and likes to brag about knowing things they don't. For the most part, he comes off confrontational and annoying to people he hasn't met.

Citizen/Agent/Gifted: Gifted

Power (if any): Aside from parasitic infestations, birth defects and things of that kind, Alec can synthesize, and therefore infect himself with, any disease (bacterial, viral, etc.) he wishes. The one upside to this is that he never really gets seriously ill- he can cure his own diseases as well. For the most part, he can keep this under control, but being a walking biological weapon has its natural drawbacks- the best he can do (offensively) is be a biohazard, unless he wants to stab someone with a syringe filled with his own blood or something, which isn't very practical. At this point though, he is quite safe to be around and has it under control.

History: When Alec was a young teenager, his mother became severely ill after being exposed to environmental contaminants of Alec's origin. She keeled over doing laundry due to myocarditis, which later realized upon hearing the details from his father was his fault. Fearing his father's rejection, he confided in his father's best friend, Jim, who although he helped Alec figure out exactly what was happening, also didn't tell Alec's father at Alec's behest.
After his wife's death, Niel moved out of state in an attempt to get his life together, but ended up an alcoholic wreck instead. Neil began to have severe issues holding down his job and behaving functionally, Jim, a psychiatrist, moved in with his friend out of concern for him and Alec. Alec went to public high school, but had no friends and was known mostly as confrontational and dispassionate. As Alec got older, he never got on with his father, and was taken care of, for the most part, by Jim. It eventually happened that, in an effort to right past wrongs, Alec did tell his father what he could do and the truth about what had happened to his mother. Niel kicked Alec, and Jim, out of the house, furious that he had been lied to for such a long time, and a few days later hung himself from the living room fan. Alec inherited his house but put it up for rent instead of moving in, and moved in with his girlfriend, so the only job he actually has is being a landlord. He won't entertain the thought that his actions could've led to his parents' deaths, as that would be incongruent with his self-image.

Any extra information (if any): N/A, I think I covered it all, except that he knows Othello. }

Oh, what a lovely bunch of coconuts--this looks fun!

Name: Evelyn Anderson
Nickname: Evie
Age: 30
Appearance: 1 . 2

Evie is tall and lean but doesn’t carry her figure with much posture, pride or confidence.

And, yes, those are pictures of brunette Gwyneth Paltrow.

@AMBER12 Hullo again I'll join with a pair of twins!

Name Eris Doukas
Nickname Havoc
Age 17
Appearance Eris is about 5'5'' tall, but has more of a curvy figure than the average teenager. Her face is a bit more plump than the rest of her, giving her an almost cherubic image, that is distorted by the two very different eyes; the left is bright green, while the right is a curious golden color. The proportions of her body may seen a bit strange on further inspection, seeing that her legs are a bit shorter than average while her arms are quite normal. Her skin is very pale and she has few notable blemishes, aside from the distinctive scar across her right eye [the golden one]. She doesn't know much about fashion of any kind and as such, always wears what other people like her brother give her.
Attitude Seeing as she has been isolated almost all her life, Eris is much more innocent and gullible than the average person and as such always gets into trouble. But she also has a distinctive suspicious trait that may make her seem very awkward and hard to understand. She doesn't quite get what is considered rude or not, often stumbling into less than stellar situations. But because of the earlier dependance on people, Eris has got an independent streak a mile wide and will only let Ares help her in any way.
Citizen/Agent/Gifted Gifted
Power Ability to call on ''Storms'', usually uses the lightning and thunder [when either of the twins feels extremely threatened, then the ability to ''fuse'' together appears.*]
History Eris showed sign of her gift very early on in life and at first nothing serious happened. Both her parents still believed in greek gods and the first time her gift actually caused harm and wreaked havoc onto the surrounding, her parents quickly changed her name into that of the goddess of war and strife, Eris. At that time, she was about three years old and didn't quite notice the difference between how they treated her and how they treated her brother. They kept her isolated and moved far into the mountains and didn't let her come into contact with the rest of the world. The only people she saw were her family and the tutors that came to teach them. Eris' father wanted to change and let his daughter choose how she wanted to live, but her mother had become crazed at the thought of the amount of power. She struck down the father in full view of Ares and that's when he awakened his gift for the first time.
By now, the father was missing and the mother had become insane, treating both of the twins like her personal war machines. Eris still had no contact with anybody else until the fateful day came when her mother tried to force Ares into full-out destroying the town at the foot of their mountain. By then, they were almost 16 and balked at the thought. It was also the first and only time they fused together. After successfully stopping their mother, an Agent appeared who took them both to laboratory where scientists experimented on their separate abilities, but more so on their ability to fuse. That was how both earned the scars and the fact that the eye won't go back to normal.
Any extra information Currently on the run after blacking out the laboratory. Acting as street entertainers for money.

Name Ares Doukas
Nickname Ruin
Age 17
Appearance Standing at 6'3'', Ares makes for an imposing sight next to his much shorter sister. His skin is a olive tan color and his hair is a soot black color. Ares as well has two different eye colors, the left being golden and the right icy blue. His skin is more blemished through old scars across his hands and arms, callouses on his hands and surprisingly, feet. But the most distinctive is the scar across his left eye. His build is very lean and his posture always screams predator to those who may be weaker.
Attitude A rough person, but much more laid back than his sister. But he is also suspicious of strangers and almost over protective towards Eris, being raised for the purpose of protection. He dislikes attacking, much more preferring to defend and protect. Other than that, a very sociable person.
Citizen/Agent/Gifted Gifted
Power Ability to control earth [when either of the twins feels extremely threatened, then the ability to ''fuse'' together appears.*]
History Grew up quite normally until Eris showed her gift to their parents. He was set aside for that moment and was encouraged to go and make friends elsewhere. At first, he was very jealous of his sister but when their parents had Eris train her gift up until she fell over, Ares became more and more worried. Everything continued normally for him until he saw their mother strike down their father, where he awoke his gift. Their mother then drilled him in it's use, always telling him he was there for Eris' protection, nothing more. That mentality settled within him and when the day came when his mother told him to destroy the town by their mountain, Ares couldn't do it. Not even when she threatened Eris.

Is that okay?

Ah, yes, the fusing.

The two pretty much ''pull'' together mentally, both sharing awareness of the other's body and can act through it. Through the experiments, they can't get the one eye to go back to normal and have a ''dull'' mental connection.

~Here's my girl, hope she's alright, -hands you a coconut-
~Sorry with the picture, just ignore the hat/clothing. The eye/skin/hair color is what's significant

Name: Beryl Eveens
Nickname: Bear (Her twin's pet name for her ; now used because some part of her arms are always bare)
Age: 17
Appearance: -One teal eye- A slender body of 5'4 usually clad in torn dark gray jeans with a pocket-filled belt hanging off her hips.
For the past 4 years Beryl has mastered her own powers as well as her brother's, now even able to classify someone's gift after making eye contact.

coconuts are tasty covered by chocolate

@crack_weasel
Yes, I'll just let the few people finish up their skellies tonight. If they aren't done by tomorrow, we'll have to start without them.

OOC: Okay, sorry to keep you guys waiting, I had to work yesterday/today and didn't have the time to post.

BIC: Jessica had been so excited for summer vacation; the heat and the sun, going to the beach, hanging out with friends. But of course, all her friends were away vacationing, the beach had been closed for investigation about one of the Gifted, and it had poured rain for the last week. And as luck would have it, she had to go down to the store to buy some items her mom needed. Jess pulled the hood of her rain coat down farther. It wasn't that she hated the rain, just not at the beginning of summer vacation. She paused by the window of a store that had TVs of all sizes displaying the news. A woman in a pin striped suit was going on about how many Gifted were being arrested, the rate at which crime was increasing, the number you could call to report a Gifted. Jess was about to walk away when she caught the end of a sentence, "...Furthermore, the city of Smith Falls will be closed off for a more focused search of these 'Gifted' people. Government agents will triple their search efforts...." She couldn't believe it. They were closing the city? The agents, she could handle. Closing the city, they'd gone too far this time. The rest of the walk to the store was filled with silent curses towards the government. Jess reached the store, looking up at the awning that was bulging with too much water, "Well someone's going to get an early shower." She lowered her hood as she entered the store, nodding to Nick, the owner. "Lets see," she mumbled to herself, grabbing a basket and taking another glance at the list. She found everything easily, double checking her list and the contents of the basket, she headed for the cash. "Oh shoot! I forgot the hot sauce," she spun on her heels and bumped into someone and dropped her list. "Oof! Sorry 'bout that," she apologized as she bent down to pick up the list.

Amy sighed, looking out the window at the grey landscape. She didn't hate the rain, just the paperwork that seemed to follow it. Rainy days seemed to be either paperwork days, or door to door days. And she wasn't about to go out into that downpour to ask people questions. Amy looked back at the rest of her papers, which were mostly just 'needs to be sorted' ones. "I'll finish later," she muttered, heading for the staff room. A couple other agents had the same idea as her, coffee. She pour herself a cup and headed for the fridge. She rooted around a bit before finding her secret stash of doughnuts, plopping a boston cream into her mouth as she closed the door. Amy took a bite and smiled, still sweet. She didn't know who the prankster was, but someone always decided to put salt on the sweets in the staff room. So far, no one had found her stash. Flopping down in a chair, she munched on her treat and sipped her coffee happily. Amy just hoped no one came over to talk to her, she always got chatty when she had coffee.

ooc: So in order to keep people from getting confused with who's talking I'll colorize the text
Orange= Tobi
Purple= Prince

BIC: In a ice cream parlor sat Prince and Tobi eating their ice cream, both had bruises from fighting agents sent from the government trying to bring them in, and as usual they failed to do so. Prince who had every type of ice cream flavor imaginable on his cone took a lick of and looked out the window as Tobi ferociously ate his ice cream, manners never really being his forte. "Man it sure is pouring out today we might have to put our plans on hold until it lightens up." Tobi said after he was finished licking the last molecule of strawberry ice cream "Yeah you're right I guess we'll have to find a hotel somewhere, the only problem is I think were running low on money and I can't access my stupid bank account." Prince replied rather annoyed resting his chin on his hand lazily, there was always something about the rain he always thought was soothing, or rather relaxing, but before he could even relax Tobi snapped him out of it. "Why do we need money?" Tobi asked confused, because where he was from there was no money if people wanted food or water they'd either have to grow it themselves, hunt, or trade whatever they had of value. Prince who was about to relax soon snapped at Tobi "Hello we need money to eat, and sleep not everyone has lived in a jungle and hunted for themselves like you, you know." Prince then crossed his arms and thought about how to make a quick buck when the television came on about hunting the gifted. Giving a scowl Prince threw away his ice cream making Tobi look at him strangely for a moment, Prince loved sweets and he would never waste them except, well today of course. Prince sensing Tobi's reaction just shrugged and said simply "Lost my appetite." Without another word about it the two boys began to walk out side trying their best to remain unseen, after all their pictures had made the news quite often and the last thing they wanted was to get caught.

While the two walked Tobi was knocked down by Jessica and as he got up Prince snapped at her harshly "Hey watch it!" Prince then turned to Tobi and asked him "You okay Tobi?" "Yeah I'm fine and it's alright I know she didn't purposely knock me down. I'm Tobi by the way what's your name?" Tobi asked Jessica looking at her sincerely kind revealing his pure and kind hearted nature.

"So much for summer."

Lee muttered to himself as he heard the rain start to heavily come down. He patched the roof with some scrap metal in the abandoned warehouse he's been using for four years, and although it didn't stop the rain completely, it didn't flood his only home. It was pretty clean considering it hasn't been used for a very long time, and whatever he has managed to salvage from the streets he has brought here. Nothing that can use electricity, obviously, but things he can sleep on and store. Whenever he needs a shower, or food, or the ability to have clean clothes he seeks refuge in this small house owned by a family of three. Lee confided in the woman who owns this house on his situation after she caught him breaking in to her house three years ago, and if she wasn't related to any Gifted's she would have handed him over to the Agents. But as long as he doesn't stay for more than a day she will offer him whatever he needs, but of course he pays for the food he eats and the energy he uses. His parents and adoptive parents left him a very large amount of money that will last him for quite a long time and the woman who helps him luckily worked at the bank so she got him an account under his fake name and a new credit card. He owes his life to this woman but he knows he has to stop coming around soon.

He heard that the government were putting more Agents on the streets, some of them even Gifted. They are like hawks and no matter what street you were on or what store you were in, they were there. They were every where. He wasn't scared of them but he knows he cannot take them alone. His powers do not give him any ability to fight, the only thing he knows about fighting is what he taught himself. Lee knows the Gifted's are on edge and the Agents are waiting for even the smallest outbreak but he is tired of walking on egg shells. The government needs to go down.

Lee put his hood over his head and threw on his backpack as he started to make his way to the local store. He tuned out all the feelings of people he passed by, seeing how all they seemed to be thinking about is their hatred for the rain. But when he passed an Agent, even though he believed most of them didn’t have a brain, he liked to get in their head even if it wasn’t interesting. Lee pushed open the store doors, the little bell chimed as he entered. He gave a slight wave to the owner as he picked up a basket. He grabbed everything he needed, most of it necessities like water and food that doesn’t have to be cooked. Just as he was about to cash in he saw a girl crash into a kid. He walked over to them, and picked up the paper for her.

“I didn’t know girls bullied little kids.” Lee teased, tossing a glance at the two boys and handing the girl her piece of paper.

OOC: I'm not going to have Emerald meet up at the store right now so we don't have an orgy of people there.
That way we can extend this and it not seem weird that everyone knows each other right from the beginning.
But she'll meet up with at-least one person by my next post or so.

BIC:
Emerald motioned for the bar-tender to fill 'er up. One last drink before she hit the road.
The bar had gotten too crowded for the day. But no one wants to leave the bar, I mean who would? It was pouring.
But Emerald did not feel like being around too many people right now.
As soon as the bar-tender slid her glass back to her, she downed the sucker and got up.

Since Emerald only lived on the basics she paid her tab and handed him a good tip.
"Thanks again." She said, putting her wallet away.
"No problem Emme, you sure you wanna go out in this? I can have someone give you a ride."
Emerald shook her head.
"No, I'm fine. I really appreciate it." She turned to walk out.
Joe, the bar-tender, quickly replied with, "Hey it's no problem for my favorite customer."

Emerald smiled back at him and left. Thankfully the bar had an outside balcony above the entrance so she didn't get soaked when she got outside.
She loved this bar because it was downtown, meaning less people to see her transform.
Either way, she wanted to make sure she was safe from agent eyes.
Walking into the alley she transformed into a snake and began to slither to a dry place to stay for the night.

I love getting achievements! Anyone who wants to help in any way shape or form go on ahead! I won't stop you! <3

Glancing up at the sky released it's sorrow, Beryl rolled up the sleeves on her crimson jacket up to her elbows before ripping down a poster from the alley wall. It wasn't right to close this town just because a large amount of Gifted resided here, it was right and everyone saw that, though the blame was falling on the gifted's shoulders instead of the government's. Which she supposed was the plan all along, build up more resentment towards the abnormal beings of the town in the hope more people would turn them in, it was a brilliant idea and it seemed to be working fairly efficiently. Over the past weeks the amount of Gifted in the area was lacking, many were bailing out of the city or trying to blend into to the rest of society, though the pulsating power flow from the town's local store caught her by surprise as she passed by, looking across the street at the group of Gifted, three boys and a girl.
Well that was curious, she stepped into the road and made her way over towards the doorway,"I'm sorry, but can I slip in there?" she questioned, tapping the girl's shoulder while making eye contact with the guy scolding the other pair of boys. Was it just her or did their faces seem strangely familiar, she ignored the thought as she maneuvered her way around the four, arm brushing against the younger boy's outstretched hand.
A fire wielder, energy manipulation, and a mind read, three out of the four, not bad, a smirked crawled onto her face, the telepathic may or may not know what she had discovered, but why not voice it and save him the trouble,"It's dangerous for four of you to be standing right here with a report number hanging right above your heads, I would try and get out of the city if I were you," Beryl suggested, tone quiet and dry as she smoothed out the crumbled the poster for all to see.

Jess rolled her eyes, "Is he always like this?" she asked the other boy, not knowing if they were brothers or just friends. They looked around her brother's age, so she was surprised when Toby asked her name. "Um..... my name's Jes....." she didn't get to finish when another boy, probably more around her age handed her list back to her. She laughed at his comment and smiled, "Thanks. Oh, yes, that. You know, I just go around bullying younger kids in my spare time." she joked sarcastically, her cheeks turning slightly pink. Shoot, I'm blushing. I never can talk to guys my age without blushing of making a fool of myself. He looks familiar... "Are you new in town, or have I seen you around before? You look familiar." She smiled at him, trying to be polite, "I should probably get home, I don't want to get mom worried." she said, hoping to avoid the embarrassment part. Jess started to walk past the boy, but stopped to let another girl go past, who turned to speak to them. The girl unfolded a poster, and Jess just stared at her in confusion, "What are you talking about?" she shook her head, "Listen I don't have time for any of this, my mom's expecting me home." There were getting to be too many people surrounding her and she was getting nervous. Jess started to make her way towards the check out, hoping she wouldn't be stopped again.

[[ Woot woot! This is starting wonderfully! Fair warning, there will be a brief appearance by a random government worker but he's not another character, just basically a stand-in. c: ]]

It was the last day of the agency's mandatory annual weapons training course. It had a been a rough month: one of the newer agents had fumbled a newly-issued grenade and would have blown his hands off if it weren't for the emergency safety shut-down system in the training items. Another stabbed himself in the leg with an assault knife while trying to pull it out of his boot, and another broke his ankle in the martial arts sparring portion.

But Evie had no such problems. She was thirty years old, for heavens' sakes, and had gone through this training as well as much more intensive ones every year since getting out of grad school. Yeah, she had screwed up at first. She was a skinny, sheltered girl that never played any sports besides gymnastics and swimming. But it had been a long time, and it was only common sense that the training, well, trained her up. Now, at the final shooting range, she handled her worn-down, polymer Smith&Weston 9mm like a professional, neatly hitting each target at or near the center.

"Agent Anderson." A gruff, commanding voice echoed in her ear piece. "We think you're ready for a new training segment. Stand by while we replace the targets with a simulation."

She nodded and held her gun steadily in front of her while the target room went dark and silent for a few moments. Then, as it lit up, she recognized 3D recreations of the streets in the most Gifted-packed areas of Smith Falls. She waited. The gun was cocked. Her eyes carefully scanned corners as the simulation started slowly taking her down a main road. Then, with a loud scuffling, someone tumbled out into the street in front of her. She stopped her finger from pulling the trigger just in time--it was just a kid. The dirty-looking 3D boy approached her, looking frightened, and then conjured a smooth orb of fire in his right hand.

A Gifted. She knew what training specified. The boy was a clear threat, to society and especially to herself. Her finger tightened on the trigger just slightly. The boy took a step forward, right into a range that was very clearly a danger to her life. But, still--

As she hesitated, the boy threw his fireball at the screen and she jumped a little bit at the noise and the light while the simulation powered down.

"I'm going to need to see you in my office, Agent." The voice grumbled into her ears.

"Roger that, Chief." She muttered as she took off the ear protection and hung it on the wall, dropped off her weapons at the counter, and pushed out of the double doors to the office area. The Chief's was just two down on the right, and he was marking something down aggressively in a binder as she walked in and shut the door behind her. He motioned for her to sit.

"What happened in there?" He demanded as he shoved the pencil back into a cup on his desk, folded his hands, and looked at her beneath bushy eyebrows.

"He was a kid, Sir."

"No, Agent, he was a menace to society. And he killed you. You're dead, Agent. How does that feel?"

"Not like what I expected it to feel like. Everything's pretty much the same." She retorted quietly. It had taken her a while to get up the confidence to crack jokes with the Chief, but after she started, she quickly figured out it was the only way to make friends around here. She watched his mouth twitch as he pretended not to be amused.

"Real funny, kid. Look--you're a great Agent. You shoot on target and are a thing to be reckoned with in hand-to-hand combat and you work real hard. But things aren't what they used to be. We had to close down the city today."

Her eyebrows raised. What? Closed? As in, no one gets in or out? A chill ran down her spine and she shifted uncomfortably. The Chief continued.

"That means we're on our own, and you know as well as I that there are a ton of Gifteds squirming around here. It's going to take just about the whole force to round them up, and that means people like you that are regularly in interrogation might have to go out there and do some dirty work. And I have to know you're able to."

"I am, Sir. It's just, they are people, and--"

"For the last time, get that idiotic idea out of your head. I don't know why these people exist. I don't know what suddenly happened to the water supply or whatever that made people start to sprout wings and have magic powers. But look--they are different. Completely different. Whatever gene gives them sparkly abilities also makes them completely insane, I'm telling you. It's a disease. These people start getting powers and then pass it down to their mangy kids--and every last one of them is violent, irrational, and completely heartless. You got that? It's something in their brain. It's something that the powers do to them. They cannot be trusted. You should know that--how many lying dogs have you caught? Look, the only thing they're good for is research to help the rest of us, and the only way to do that is to capture them or even kill them if it comes down to that. You understand?"

"Yes, sir." Her stomach didn't wrench at all during the whole speech. He really believed all of this... and what would he think of her if he knew her own small gift?

"Good. Your training's over. You passed with flying colors--that last part was off the record. But I'm going to be giving you some assignments out on the streets, and I'm warning you now that you'll be using that gun. Now go take a break. You've been training all day and it's a miserable day outside."

She nodded, rose neatly, and walked out of the office and down the hall to get herself some coffee. Her black, heeled boots made a soft click on the office floor. It was cold in the training rooms, and it was cold outside, and she would love something warm right about now.

After getting herself a nice black cup of steaming drink, she took an empty chair next to one of the other agents--a young one, Amy. She offered the other woman a tight smile and wrapped her hands around her mug. "You a fan of the rain?" She asked, bringing the swirling dark to her lips to take a sip and leaving a faint mark of lipstick on the rim.

#Awrn ooc: Hey guys my post might be short because my internet just stopped working I'm using my phone right now so I apologize in advance for any mistakes.

BIC: Tobi could only hear part of Jessica's name and when he was about to ask again he heard the new girls comment and looked at Prince seriously for a moment. Prince in return gave the same look and almost as if it were a psychic connection between them they knew they had to leave. "Hey Tobi we need to start heading out if we want to reach New York on schedule." Prince Told Tobi who snapped out of his serious nature and back into his lighthearted manner "Oh yeah that's right. I guess we should start heading out. Well it was nice meeting all of you but we have to get going. Be safe." Tobi said to practically everyone and then gently making his way out of the crowd that started forming he and Prince began walking towards their goal. Although they were going to New York it wasn't for a tourist visit. While they were in town they heard a rumor of an underground fighting tournament for gifted going on in New York and the two boys wanting to work on their abilities decided they wanted to enter. The only problem was they had no idea where it was located because of the Agents no one could just find the tournament you had to be invited and being invited was hard work. The tournament had a street name Hell's Arena because in this tournament death was possible. Still the two boys were determined to find it mostly because they thought they could probably get information on any new projects the government had been planning.

“You seem like the bullying type.” Lee replied, laughing slightly.

Lee felt her embarrassment; she seems to have trouble talking to him for whatever reason. His smile instantly turned to a frown when she mentioned that he looked familiar. ”Maybe she has just seen me walking around or something.” Lee thought to himself, trying to remain relaxed. He watched her leave, not bothering to say bye when he didn’t know who she was. It bothered him that she knew him somehow, and no matter how many times he told himself that it was nothing, he couldn’t let it go.

As the red head bumped into him, he read every thought that was going through her mind. She too was a gifted, along with the two boys and the girl that just left. He looked at the poster she was holding and scoffed.

‘The city is being closed. I doubt people are allowed to enter or leave, especially teenagers.” Lee replied, shrugging his shoulders.

This wasn’t the best place to talk about things anyway then again no place was safe. The two kids, who seemed strange to him, made their leave. It was kind of upsetting that even though they were so young they were being hunted down like animals. They deserve to live like normal kids.

“I’m Lee by the way. I suggest we leave and go somewhere else if you want to chat.” He said, turning to the girl. He honestly had nothing better to do with his time. If there are more Agents on the streets, there should be more Gifted’s too.

[[Gosh, I'm quite excited~ #Awrn ]]

''Hey girlie, you seem a bit hungry...''

The voice drifted out from one of the dilapidated warehouse entrances. The grimy androgynous figure held up a hand and motioned with a crooked finger. ''I have some food inside, if you want it you can come in.'' The voice snapped the lone female out of her thoughts while she stood in the rain, watching the clouds gather and feeling the spark of power throughout her body. Different colored eyes gazed almost serenely at the man and she slowly shook her head. ''No, thank you.'' The man narrowed his eyes and stood up, drawing to his full 6'3'' height. ''I said come on in, girlie. Didn't you hear?'' She tilted her head and stared at him with honest confusion. ''I thought that declining properly would be enough...'', she mumbled.

''Well, it isn't. So come on-''

As the man reached out to grab the girl's arm, another hand intercepted. ''Don't touch her.'', the young man gritted out. ''Eris, what the hell are you doing here?''
Said girl pouted lightly and crossed her arms, almost ignoring the silently fuming man. ''You said to wait somewhere safe. This is safe.'', Eris said while pointedly looking at the billowing clouds. ''Friction creates static energy, static energy means a storm and-'', the pale girl grinned,'' and a storm means power. This was basically all I could describe as safe.'' Both men looked at her incredulously. ''People like this guy are not safe. If I hadn't appeared now, who knows what could have happened!'', the younger man said in a raised voice. Turning to the would-be criminal, he pushed him away and motioned to the knife tucked into his belt. ''I really don't want to show you how well I can use these, so please just go away. I forgive you this once since Eris is still okay.'' The man nodded uncertainly and backed off, disappearing back into the warehouse.

''Did you at least get what we came for, Ares?''

The red head asked in a small voice, not quite sure if Ares was angry at her or not. He only sighed sadly and shook his head. ''They already got to him.'' Agents were appearing everywhere and pretty much cutting off any chance of disappearing from the map. The black haired young man felt his stomach rumble and motioned for Eris to take his hand. ''Come on, we'll find a place to get some food for now.'' Eris silently nodded and took the proffered hand, not even shivering as the rain soaked the drenched green top even further. ''You shouldn't always have to take care of me, Ares.'', she stated dryly. ''But what if I want to? You're always such a clutz!'', Ares grinned.

The two walked down the street and spotted a near-bye store, both drenched to the bone and only the male one glad to be out of the rain. But the commotion at the entrance made Ares pull his sister behind him. He glanced at the group that was slowly dwindling. ''-go somewhere else if you want to chat.'' The young man let out the breath he had been holding. What a creative pick-up line. He thought dryly, a smile slowly forming on his face but a frown quickly replaced it. Oh god, what happens if somebody tries it on Eris? It'd probably work, her being as oblivious as she is. A slight panicked expression crossed his face for a split second as he recomposed himself. ''Excuse me,'' he coughed gruffly, ''we'd like to pass.''

Having heard the almost shouted thought, Eris only grinned but scowled at not being able to help herself. Ares, you are such an... Said young man only twitched lightly. ''Yes, that'd be very friendly. We'd like to dry somewhat'', the red head stated lightly, glancing down at the wet clothes they wore. She could live with it since rain was the lifeblood of storms.

We really need some new clothes. Ares thought with a frown when he spotted the tear in Eris' jeans.

Agent Salt was absolutely delighted with the decision to shut down Smith Falls. The citizens would anger, riot, and then be arrested. All of them could and would be interrogated. Nothing pleased him more than breaking someone down, having them spill their heart out. It was beyond satisfaction. Sure, a little force in an interrogation was fun, but offering them salty laden foods, beginning to quench their thirst with bottles of water, and then denying them the bathroom until forking over information was far more entertaining. Most people would break then and the few ones who did have accidents weren't his problem - he wasn't a lowly paid janitor but a government agent. A respected one at that. He already managed to have one gifted teen brought into the agency, breaking down the teen's own mother to coughing up where she had been stashing the freak. That one had telekinesis like the psycho dog from the Carrie movie. Too bad that kid got shot with an unsuspecting tranq gun instead of dropping a bucket of pig's blood on her head. That would have been hilarious.

Salt didn't quite know what happened to telekinetic teen afterward and frankly he didn't give a crap. Why was she gifted with the power to move objects? All he could do was turn sugar into salt. What kind of power was that? He wasn't a menace to society - just his co-workers and their break room. The joke was on them too cause no one could quite figure out who was screwing with their doughnuts and sugar packets. It always put a smile on his face and now feeling miffed over his not-so gifted powers, he left his desk to tamper with the sweets in the break room. Unfortunately, he arrived too late as he could see two female workers occupying the room. Dammit, that one's already enjoying her sweet, sugary, delicious doughnuts. I'll have to get her next time.

The olive skinned, forty-two year old man strolled into the room with a pleasant smile on his face. "Not heading out today because of the rain," he said making his way over to the coffee maker and pouring himself a cup. He always took it black. "Gotta round them all up - gifted and non-gifted alike. They know something." He took a sip, feeling rather smug. "They always know something and I know just how to force it out of them."

//

"Alec, you're such a stupid jackass hipster screw off," the eighteen year old ginger screeched in a high pitch voice. It was a falsetto he purposely used to annoy the ever living piss out of Alec. "Why did you want to go to Portalnd anyway - cause it's the Hipster Capital of the world!" He always asked his friend a question but answered anyway because Othello William Hayden never quite knew when to shut the hell up. "You're so dumb. We could have gone anywhere but you let me get sleepy behind the wheel and we ended up in this dumb city called Smith Falls. Why Smith Falls? Is he really that clumsy! I mean seriously, you let me fall asleep and we end up here! RUDE!" He continued rambling, being stirred up from the annoyance that the radio announced that the current city they were in was now shut down. Their road trip had started with Othello kidnapping Alec from his Ohio bedroom, shoving him in the "borrowed" car Othello took from his guardian, and hitting the road to have the best summer road trip ever. Now the two were stuck downtown in the rain with not much to do and a ginger kid's rumbling stomach. "Hey fatty," Othello finally stopped ranting so he could hit his friend in the arm. "You got any snacks on you?"

(( @Itsumou - you're up, Alec :] ))

...with a dash of wit.

OOC: @Shaxxire Sounds good, you just hop in when you're done

BIC: Jess paid for the food and headed out of the store, passing a boy and a girl on her way out. She smiled at them before heading out into the rain again. Five minutes later, she was home and soaked to the bone. "So much for my raincoat," she muttered, placing the bag on the counter. After hanging her coat up to dry, she headed upstairs and changed into dry clothes. She peaked her heads out of her door, making sure nobody was upstairs. Jess closed her door, she'd be able to hear if anyone came up the stairs. Taking a deep breath, she exhaled and made a small flame in her hand. She smiled, she was pretty good at creating and wielding fire like a weapon. The only thing she couldn't do was control it when she was angry. Jess moved her hand away, letting it float in the air before moving it around the room. She practiced a little more before letting it fizzle out. Why did the government hate those who were different? Then again, people in general were afraid of the unknown.

Amy looked up at the woman who sat down beside her. Great, just what I need. Someone talking to me and I've had coffee, now I'm probably going to spill my life's story. "Actually, I rather like the rain. I just thought that I might as well get my paperwork done before it backs up. God forbid that should happen. I don't think we've met before, too many people in one building," she joked, "I'm Amy." She looked up as another agent strolled in, why did she not know any of these people? They looked older than her, so maybe she wasn't a high enough rank to work with them. Then again, she did prefer to work alone. She looked up at the man who was being rather smug, "No, it's not because of the rain. I'm keeping on top of paper work. You know, the stuff that has all the data about these Gifted people and where some of them were last seen. It comes in handy when tracking them." Amy took another bite of her doughnut, she had to stop drinking coffee, it made her talk too much. She leaned back, proud of her secret stash of goodies. "Hey, do either of you know who keeps putting salt on the sweets? I mean, this one's fine today, but they're usually salted before I can get to them."

Watching the majority of the group disperse the redhead glanced up towards Lee,"Beryl, but you probably already knew that right?" the smirk still in its place, she was about to suggest a different location when a gruff voice cut into her thoughts. Tilting her head towards the new arrives giving them a small smile,"We were just about to head down to a cafe, if you'd care to join us, warmer there, plus they serve really good hot chocolate and coffee," she offered, her tone as light as the other girl's. While she slipped her arm into blonde's figuring it was easier to communicate with him like this.
'Two more Gifted, thought they may want to join in the future conversation, hope you don't mind. The cafe, it's 12th Ave, two blocks off to the right' She arched a brow in Lee's direction, mildly curious if the telepathic abilities of his worked only one way, after a second she gave his arm a apologetic squeeze seeing as this could be a little awkward for him.'Sorry, didn't mean to be forward but the mind-reading works better with physical contact, right? she thought, wondering how much knowledge she was actually giving him access too, some things in her past she'd rather him not know...

Evie enjoyed listening to others. She was an observer, a great accumulator of outside information, and was already enjoying her impressions of the two agents in the room. "I'm Evie. I guess we much just be from different departments. Nice to meet you." Her smile was a little warmer now--the woman wasn't lying or exaggerating about anything in her short greeting, and that always made Evie more prone toward friendliness.

And a list of recent sightings? That could prove extremely convenient. It might be useful to take a look at what she might encounter before the Chief just poured her out into the streets.

"Do you know how restricted that information is? I'd love to take a look sometime today before we head out. And I'm afraid I don't know anything about the sweets... what about you, Agent Montagu?" Her tone was friendly enough, though it lacked the warmth that she had when talking with Amy. She had seen the older agent around the place a few times--and had heard other people call him 'Salt'. Huh, strange that his nickname was exactly the problem with the office foods. She couldn't even remember his first name--she'd only seen 'Montagu' written on various assignment sheets and watched him walk into interrogation rooms she'd just left. They had nearly the same job. But she'd heard the rumors about how he was able to break even the most tight-lipped subjects... and she wasn't fond of his methods. She much preferred her own--sitting quietly, friendly, offering the subject some tea and letting them talk, occasionally responding with a curt 'You're lying' at every misstep. It worked well; people were so shocked at her confident accuracy that they usually fumbled about for a while until she continued to pursue the areas that they were lying about the most. It was when they didn't talk at all that they brought Salt in. 'Force it out of them,' indeed...

As Tobi and Prince walked away they noticed the rain getting heavier until it got so bad they had to take shelter in an abandoned factory. Rushing inside it the boys took off their wet clothes and waited for them to dry before putting them back on. The factory once was a toy/gags factory or at least that's what Prince had come to guess from all the old products lying around. One could only guess at how old the factory and when Prince got up and looked at an old framed photograph on the wall he figured it must have been pretty old. Once the boys were seated on the floor Prince grabbed his purple back pack and pulled out two small cans of juice and some trail mix handing Tobi his juice. Tobi being the wild savage he was shook like a dog to get the water off and after shaking it onto an angry Prince he grabbed his juice and opened it.

"I guess we'll stay here for tonight. Not a bad place to train though I can almost draw my energy out just need to work on it." Tobi said and then looking at Prince determined he crushed the now empty can of juice. Prince who listened intently just gave a smirk and nodded and in his usual manner spoke "Yeah, you also need to work on your fighting skills too though. Don't worry you got the basics down I just need to teach you the more complicated stuff." Then getting up he dusted the dirt off his pants an got into position. Because he was created in a government facility Prince was taught how to fight they even brought in martial arts experts to make him the perfect killing machine. Sometimes Prince wondered if any of the agents even remembered training with him or if they even knew about him.

Alec rolled his eyes, turning his body away from the punch and lazily shoving Othello's hand away. "Where would I keep them, Othello? Up my ass? In case you forgot, I barely had time to even look at the kitchen, much less grab anything." He stuck his hands into his jeans and pulled out his wallet, tapping it emphatically. "Of what I've got, I've already decided that I've got 50$ I'm not spending on you, ginger- not until we get to Portland. That's for the bookstore." He'd never been to- or even heard of- Smith Falls. But maybe now that they were here, maybe there was something to do in the city. He could only hope- his laptop was in the trunk of the car. It hadn't even been plugged in yet. Not that he used that for much except Wikipedia and webcomics. He didn't expect this 'shut down' would last long- this was America. There was no way. It was probably just swine flu or something.
"FYI, bundle of sticks, nothing called the 'hipster capitol of the world' could ever be the hipster capitol of the world. That doesn't even make sense. What self-respecting hipster would make a pilgrimage to someplace known for hipsters? None of 'em, that's what."

He stepped listlessly beneath an awning on the sidewalk, looking up and down the street. From the temporary shelter, he looked the rain pouring down on the street and unfortunate individuals stuck outside. Imagining the status of things back in Ohio, he was glad he kept his phone off- not to mention he was glad to be far away from Quentin. Jim was going to flip his crap- well, he'd probably already flipped his crap when he saw the car was missing. It was best for the car and for Othello that Alec had gone along. Alec would take better care of it than Othello would alone, and his being with Othello would keep Jim from calling the cops and reporting it stolen... hopefully.

Jim AND Othello should both be grateful, he told himself as he folded his arms. Besides, his girlfriend and Othello had gotten up to their own ridiculous loveery all across the nation, and he, Alec, got left behind. This was his belated teenage rebellion, he told himself.
"I was just rambling when I said I wanted to see Powell's City of Books," Alec justified quickly as he looked up at his friend. "I didn't expect you to drag me out of bed to actually go there. I swear, sometimes it's like you never need to sleep," he whined, zipping his maroon jacket- one he'd blearily dragged from off of the coat rack- up halfway. "I've only even got the clothes I took to Jim's house. If we're going to do anything, we should go to a laundromat or something, but I guess we can get food first."
He looked up and down the street, squinting through his fogged-up glasses. "What were you in the mood for, anyway?" He asked. "Looks like there's a bunch of people down that way- maybe that's something good?" taking his glasses off and wiping off the condensation on his shirt, and happened to glance back into the windowfront he was standing in front of. Pointing with the earpiece, he looked back at Othello, snorting.
"Is that supposed to be the local news? Is this more stuff about zombies? 'Gifted' something-or-others? Just goes to show you what the mainstream media will do to sell you a story."
