They are way too common. Not too long ago the vending machines stopped giving out elixirs to fix the low pricing. Now it's gonna be dirt-cheap to have Glacier pets. I bought my Glacier potions at full-price. Now the Buckets of Polar Ice Water are ridiculously cheap. They went down over 60% in the past few days. That seems like a real problem to me. It's barely even worth it to do the ice fields. I mean, anyone that wants a Glacier pet can just wait a day and find a Bucket of Polar Ice Water. In another day or two they'll be practically unsellable.

(HA is Reaver. Fable II version.)

I agree with this. At this rate, it won't be worth going to the Polar Ice fields any more. I used to be thrilled when I got one, but now.....

I totally agree. I've found two buckets in the past two days and that seems a little ridiculous. I remember when I waited weeks to find one so I could make one of my pets Glacier. The dramatic rarity decrease seems like a problem to me.

Yeah I was happy to find my first, but now it's actually more of an annoyance because I can ONLY find the water, and there are other items to find now =S

To be honest the only reason I'm still doing the ice fields is that I'm hoping for the new prizes that you find along the way. I don't really understand why the buckets seem to have been made more common/easier to find. I have 7 now, I think before the new Arctic Frost map I had 2 or 3.

It's only been changed for about a week, and the buckets have dropped in value by at least 80% (Their long-term average price used to be around 750K, now it's down to 150K)

Guys, I'm pretty sure the massive influx of buckets is because so many people are going there now. I mean, I saw in another thread that it's got the same chances as before the revamp, but with all the attention on it, it makes sense that more buckets are coming out because so many more people are going there.

Give it a few months, people will forget about it, and prices will climb up again.

As explained, after awhile the prices will go back up because people will stop playing the game religiously.

what?! no way! I've gotten two (maybe three?) buckets in one day, and that's just not normal since I went to the wastes often before the revamp.

anyway, I personally don't have a problem with the deflation, I just think the frequency of bucket-finding success should be toned down

Before the revamp I got two buckets in a row two separate days.

I had 14 buckets before revamp and after revamp even with going back as many times as possible I've only found one so far.

Yeah. I'm playing the Arctic Frost Wastes the same amount (Actually, less) then I did before. And the amount of they're giving out is way too high. It can't just be a coincidence. If it's supposed to be the same, then it's gotta be a bug. Because there is no way it's the same. (Not to be mean, I'm just stating my experience here)

I have had a similar experience. I've player the Polar Ice Field 'game' religiously since I joined Subeta. (Even setting alerts so I wouldn't forget). I would go weeks, in in some cases, months without finding a bucket, but I've found 2 buckets in as many days. While it's true that this could just be a statistical anomaly, it strikes me as odd that this happened at the same time as the revamp.

Or are you saying that the number of other users playing this game has a direct affect my my chances of finding the polar Water?

I'm wondering if maybe there should be at least a few more steps added to get to the polar water. This, I hope, would help decrease the chances of finding one a little bit without being too draconian, as well as increase the chances of finding some of the other neat little items. (I want that book too! XD )

i was just reading this thread, remembered i needed to go look for the new items, and get only the polar ice water instead.
this is my 3rd find since the update to the game.
i remember when it took me over a year to find my first one.
they're too common now and the glacier potion is pretty soon going to be dirt cheap.

I haven't been so lucky. I know that on the day of the update I was able to get through the whole thing on my second or third try, but after that I've been "getting lost" after the first or second click.

Maybe the influx of people playing the game has dramatically increased the chances of finding the bucket . Or increased chances is a revamp oversight , like the bug that post revamp caused that made people lose after 'keep moving' without an option .

I don't think the chance has increased. When I was going as often as possible to try and find Mama Mush a month ago I found about three buckets. And now I've been going as many times as possible since the map has been added; with no bucket in my possession. So it's all luck and perception. Maybe a slight decrease in the chance of finding the bucket - but to be honest, they've never been *that* expensive.

I've only ever gotten one bucket on the old ice fields but on the new one I've gotten 3 without even trying.

Maybe it's just random, but I had been going to Polar Ice field several times a day to try to get the Mama Mush opponent. For several months. I believe I only found my way to the end once. In the last week I haven't played anymore frequently (sometimes even less because the alert wasn't working) and I have seven buckets.

It was actually really funny. I showed this site to my rl friend, and sent him the link to the ice fields so he could try his luck. And he was like, so what's the point of these ice fields? And I was like well, blah blah get a glacier pet! And he's like, oh well I got that bucket thing. And I started flipping out like what?! You're lying! Nope. First trophy he got was a Polar Ice Fields Competition.

Anyways Im here because I just got one, but rest assured even though I already have two I'll probably just throw it in my gallery. Or make a glacier potion then throw it in my gallery.

I've always thought the bucket was a little too common, in the past 2-3 years or so, I've found at least 25 buckets. Oddly enough I haven't found one since the revamp. Thank goodness I finally decided to sell them all a month ago, I was hoarding them all haha. The price really has plummeted.

I was gonna make a thread about this being a possible bug, since I've gotten 6 or 7 since the revamp, and only one or two before. But then I saw a lot of people saying they were having terrible luck. So I really have no idea. Maybe some kind of weird glitch where if your name has X characters you get it a lot? (Stupid suggestion, but it would explain why some people are getting a ton and some are getting none)

Considering that the Arctic frost was the main focus of the site a few days ago I'm not surprised they deflated. They were never "Super hard" to get, it was a matter of luck really. And with Every user on the site trying say 2-3 times a day there are bound to be more in circulation.

Add in the fact that there are new items to be found, such as highly sought after wearables, and people will continue using the Icy fields and so they will continue to deflate if people continue to get lucky. Eventually the prices will level out. Like when Christmas comes around and new glacier pets are released.

I haven't noticed any differences in the chances of getting a bucket, I'd blame it all on the fact that people are playing the game way more than before because of the new items that you can find. I know I have; I used to play it once a week or a couple of weeks after I got the trophy, and now I can't wait to get the alert to try again.

It's only, because that many people are playing the game now - maybe that is also a reason, why they took out the alert, because even more users would try otherwise. I have only received a single bucket on the first day of the change, my percantage has in no way increased. Actually I get stuck right away a lot more often, when usually I can progress pretty far until lost. I used to set alerts and thus do it regularly a couple of times per day.

I have plenty of buckets in my vault, actually trying for all the other stuff, but I've only gotten 2 items of those so far.

I'm playing as often as the alert lets me and I've found one so far which is very much within normal

As well as one frozen fish and one frozen book.

It took me 4 months to get my first bucket, and that was right before the revamp. Since the revamp, I've had an additional 10... more often than not when I play, I get the bucket. So I am in the same boat as others when I feel like something has changed....

Do agree with everyone, i get a bucket every day now...when in old days i was lucky to find a bucket a MONTH. i have played 3 times today and got lost immideatly...hopefully they have done something with ice fields then. i wrote keith to lower the chances to find the bucket, but higher the chances to find the ITEMS from ice fields...cuz i haven't found any really

Something has definitely changed, I always played and now I am getting buckets all over the place :/

I've also been lucky with the new items though, so I'm not complaining

@ Unfortunately there's no trick.. it's random.. but a lot of people try to keep the same combination so as to keep things consistent - usually it's always the left option or the right option. I would happily rub my 'luck' onto you if I could
