firefox defaulting subeta to https?

i'm on windows vista home premium using firefox 14.0.1.

earlier today, my popup notifications and trades stopped working on firefox, though they both continued to work on chrome.

my girlfriend had pointed out to me when i'd pasted her a link, however, that it was an https://subeta.net link instead of http:// and i think that is what might be causing my issue .. i'm not sure if this is a firefox thing or a subeta thing, considering it doesn't do it on chrome. ;0; seeing as firefox is my main browser, however, so i'd prefer to simply have subeta work there rather than having to switch browsers to use trades and see notifications. :l

anyone else having this issue, or just me? ;;

@Savior
It's possible you've mis-clicked somewhere and Firefox is now making all of Subeta's links HTTPS.
However, I would like a complete list of Add-Ons you have, please.

@Savior
Well, it isn't your addons.
Have you tried to enter the trade area and put "http://www." in front of the page url?

@Savior
Let's hope it fixes itself.
If you can't figure it out still, I suggest the Firefox forums.

@Svanhild

resetting settings didn't fix it, and it turns out my girlfriend also tried to open a subeta page in firefox (trades, to test) and it defaulted her to https:// too. so i've got a feeling it's something on subeta's end, though it's odd it doesn't do it in chrome.

Same thing is happening to me. But only with trades. All else is working fine. Was working fine a few days ago and now defaults to https as well.

@Savior Ahh glad it's not just me. I've got Firefox and Chrome open so I can still use the wardrobe and trades. Not ideal, but meh, it's a (hopefully temporary) work around.

I'm using firefox 14 and like Zucni posted, everything is https right now. Trades have also stopped working for me too

Edit:

If I click on a link (new trade, my offers etc) it won't change the page content, the page just becomes blank. However if I open the links in a new tab, I can see the content that way. I can't create a new trade but I can cancel a trade using the same right-click method

This is happening to me, too, since sometime this morning. I haven't changed add-ons or settings since then.

Downgraded to FF 13.0.1 so I could use the wardrobe (some days ago), one of the WIN 7s - home pro or something maybe?

Incidentally, it (firefox) wouldn't let me into the news page for several tries, telling me that Subeta was using an invalid security certificate. Sadly, I didn't save it. News page came up just now when I tried to get the message though, so it seems to have sorted itself out, at least for me. It was some sort of built-in security verification thing, though, so I'm sure I could find some trace of it in firefox's documentation somewhere, if it's important.

@Savior ~ I am having the same issue, just started for me today (seemed fine yesterday) and I use ff 13.0.1

I also can't go backwards in my shop search tab (I keep a tab open and for shop searches, and I usually go backwards through search's I've made for the day to recheck prices... and It is stuck)

I'm going to go try chrome and see what happens

Do any of you have the "Enhanced Cookie Security" box checked from when you logged in? That was causing a problem with another user earlier.

I was on my other computer, running ff 11 beta, and everything worked fine
Not sure what that means. I'm going to try and downgrade once again I guess on this computer and see what happens?

Downgrading did not help me. Neither did clearing cookies or following any other suggestions. Ended up downloading Chrome to access my trades.

I'm also experiencing this on each page throughout the site with Firefox. I logged out, cleared cookies and cache, and now it won't even let me log back in.
Edit:
Finally was able to get back in. Still https, though.

I'm getting this too. I haven't had to re-login on this computer for I don't know how long.
I have several bookmarks on my bookmark toolbar saved as http: and when I click on them they redirect to https:

This happens to me too now. I noticed it on the news page because I have a bunch of custom css that suddenly stopped working.
Firefox 14, Windows 7. Not using enhanced cookie security.

@Destiny

That doesn't help at all. I recently downgraded from FF14 to 13 and it's allowed me to access my wardrobe, but nothing else. I can't add new trades at all. And as for logging in, that took me the better part of 15 minutes to do. I have my pin activated and either the pin page wouldn't load, or I'd get redirected back to the login page. I made sure to check, then uncheck the security cookie box as well, but it was never check for me in the firstplace so I doubt that was the problem

I just downgraded (again - it wants to re-update every time I open it. If someone knows how to turn that off, please let me know) to FF13 - I'm still getting the https: - I can't see trades, and in my quick stock, hitting the ALL button at the top only affects the first item on the list.

I'm looking at the 14 interface, but see if you can go to options > advanced > update and then tell it to not check for updates.

Yup, it's doing this for me for a few days as well. I downgraded to FF13 because of wardrobe problems. I'm only having problems with trades though, as far as I've noticed. (Which isn't a big deal for me since I don't use trades often.)

@MamaBear
Thanks! I had it set to let me choose, and it was doing it anyways. I set it to "never check" for the time being, hopefully that helps. If not I'll have to try to find the update and delete it without screwing everything else up.

I just noticed mine's doing that too. Normally, it's just an "HTTP Secure" but I think someone's goofed further up in the coding or something, be it Subeta or Mozilla themselves. I also haven't messed with my Firefox settings in an age except to downgrade it once to try and fix the wardrobe, which didn't work and Firefox automatically upgraded itself anyways.

Edit:
Oops, forgot:
Windows 7 - Firefox 14 - no FF addons modified or installed that would cause this.

I have https too and get a message saying something along the lines of "you're trying to access an encrypted page with non secure informations. Informations you see or type on this page could easily be read by a third party".
I don't use enhanced cookies.

I never log in with advanced cookie protection checked.

I notice something somewhat that may or may not help.
On this computer Win XP sp3 FF14 I have every page on Subeta turn https.
On another computer Win 7 FF14 I tried logging in and don't have any issues with https.

My computer runs Win 7 with a FF browser. I downgraded to FF13 and I never use enhanced cookies...ever! I have been having log in issues since yesterday and am constantly redirected to the https:// address. After numerous attempts I do log in, but it is a royal pain. Downloaded Chrome to save myself some grief in wardrobe, etc., but now I can't even save wardrobe changes in Chrome. The site is DEFINITELY having issues and I wish someone would tweak to the problem and try and fix it.

I have been getting that the last couple days as well. Thought it was wierd, but wasn't impacting my browsing subeta as far as I could tell. But now I can't use trades, which I suppose could be a result of it.

I hate to say it, but I'm having the problem while running ff14 with Win 7. Forgot to include program specs in my last post. Sorry.
