Me too, but about a year ago there was always at least one-thousand people on at a time which was busy but still small and comfortable enough that I liked it.
That probably seems like a lot but it was just enough to keep everything moving.

I go on and off between playing Subeta so I'm not sure exactly what it was like a year ago... normally I see the "Users Online" number fluctuating around 600-800 though... I don't always look at it, but I don't normally see it much over 1,000.

Only once have I ever seen 2k users online, after that.. it just seemed to drop! It has been much more quiet recently.

I've notice that too. Generally when I'm online there are only about 400 - 700 users. When there are events though, there's a nice spike. There were 1.2k users online for few hours while the battle challengers were actively updating. So those people are out there somewhere.

Yeah, new people come in everyday. Some people just get bored though. There are nice events that go on yet its never going to be a permanent thing for anyone. Some people may have completed their goals on here and decided they were bored and decided to leave. If I ever do that, i'm atleast going to put my pets up for adoption instead of leaving them in the account to just sit forever >.<

An amusing tale...

i think it depends on a lot of things, such as the time of year it is. right now everyone's either back in school or getting ready to go back to school and such. a couple months ago i think there was a point in time where we hit the 2k users mark? it wasn't that long ago, either way. but yeah now that school is back and all it's just been fluctuating between 600-1000 - and then plus there's events and stuff to consider and whatnot. i never really pay attention to how much it constantly changes....

I always leave for long perios of time and end up coming back. Right now I set myself goals on here. Such as writing stories for my characters and training them to try and defeat all of the opponents at the Battle Colliseum.

Or that's when the multi's come out.

I seem to think that during the summer during events numbers used to hit 1000+ pretty steadily, but I haven't seen that much lately. Getting some actual data charts would be really cool.

The forums seem slower than normal too, but I think I remember keith saying that the number of post per day is up, so maybe it's just the forums I look at.

A year ago it was nicely populated. Not too many but not too little. Usually around one-thousand people on at once.

Yeah i hate when the boards are completely dead. There are times when I've finished my quests and there is just nothing else to do because no one is around.

Yeah I used to play everyday...and then I literally remade an account today. It was like an amazing re-discovery lol. Although, my old account got deleted which is a bummer. I would assume most people just got over it.

Well, Subeta isn't a very popular virtual pet site like Powerpets and Neopets (both which I have huge grudges).

But yeah, I don't think I'm going to get the Super User! achievement anytime soon (Be online when there are 2,000 or more users!).

About a year ago it wasn't uncommon to have 1,000+ users on at a time and now everybody moved on from the site.
It kind of worries me if it continues like that.

On and off hiatus, if that makes sense.
I'm guessing it's because everyone is in school, or all of the most active users grew out of the site.

There have been a lot of older users leaving due to various reasons. I don't think it's enough to disturb the community though since there have also been a lot of new users. Could just be people are busy with other things.

1000+ users is really only common during more major events, I'd say 600-800 is more "normal" for down-times. Oddly enough, summer actually seems to be one of the least busy seasons of the year for the forums - lots of people go on vacation, see friends more, get summer jobs, etc. Summer is more unpredictable for most people than the other neatly-scheduled seasons, so people have an easier time fitting Subeta into their schedules when it's part of their daily routine.

I only recently started trying to be active on the forums after a little over a year of being on the site.
I just putz around and post at random but it does seem kinda dead and gets a little boring after a while.

No seriously I haven't noticed a decrease in activity here to be honest. I usually notice 1,000 people on during the yearly events. Other than that, I always thought there was usually less.

I have a feeling that the popularity of IRC as another way for groups to talk is also contributing to the kind of lackluster forum energy lately!
Personally I think one of the best ways to stay active on the forums is by finding a group or forum with a specific purpose/goal with lots of people to talk to. Ones here on General Discussion include the Restock and Chat board and the sP Sprint, but there's pretty much some on every forum! Just groups where you can get to know some people who frequent the same threads and stuff. Then you always have a place to go back to when the rest of the forums look uninteresting!

I'm very on and off with Subeta, myself. I'm just back from a long hiatus

During events, the users online is usually ~1000, 900-1300 at most. Otherwise it seems 600-800. The hours I putz around at though, I'll see 400. It seems pretty typical to me, and larger than when I first joined!

As for the super user achievement, the second time that happened it was a pretty advertised plan and during a big site event. Unfortunately I was at work

It seems pretty average to me. I think that unless there's an event going on, it usually stays around 700-900. Personally, I like it :] Though I'm not really a huge forum-goer myself, I always find somewhere to be when I want to.

I guess I came to the forums at the wrong time, lmao.
I'm pretty guilty of starting threads and then... "forgetting" about them when I get a million pings and am too lazy to reply to all of them, oops. But it sucks going to other threads and never having someone reply. Kinda makes it feel like people don't want to talk at all.

Oh, I'm definitely guilty of using an irc more often than finding boards on the forums.
The way I see it though the forums kind of already have their little groups of friends, and I get a little bit intimidated by the thought of just jumping in to the chat out of nowhere. I mean I suppose that's how a forum works but still, haha.

Can't be bothered replying to pretty much the same post over and over.

Then browsing around for some thread to post on it seems like the ones where people actually reply are the ones with the stupidest subjects.
Could probably start a thread asking people what their favorite color is and they will swarm like mad, but make a discussion and it's some barren wasteland.

I think everyone feels that way in the beginning! But everywhere I've gone, people are quite fine with - and even happy about - others joining in, since that creates more discussion and that's what everyone is going for! So yeah, if you see something that looks interesting, just jump in. I've never seen anyone get upset about it before! But I swear, I know what you mean about that anxiety, it really can be intimidating. It's just worth it to work through it.

IRC = Internet Relay Chat, and it's just like an instant messaging system kind of thing but tons of people can join. It seems like a lot of cults have their own channels, and Subeta has one too, although I haven't been on that one in a long time so I forget the login info! Most are on Mibbit or Rizon - I use chat.mibbit.com to get on, then you need the Channel name to get to the one you want. I don't know how new it is, it's been around for a bit but it seems like it's becoming more and more common for groups to make one for themselves. It just lets you talk in real time with people instead of waiting for replies on the forums.
