They seriously need to be deflated big time....

I havent been here that long but from what my friend told me they have been super inflated :/

Subeta needs to check some more map pieces everywhere. Just enough to balance the prices but not make them SUPER cheap. just affordable :/

i'm not sure which map you looked up, but Uncharted Land Map Piece #3 is 13m.
and the last piece is 20m omg why

this doesn't make any sense...now i see the difference. Yet...i guess i'm confused too. I got the map i think a long time ago and they were never that bad to buy. I wonder what got them uber inflated. The only time i can think of is the plot for it but...that was some years ago

@ I was so hoping with this whole cruise plot we'd be seeing the uncharted land map events, especially when we had the sea battles. But no such luck so far....

Super inflated doesn't even cover it. I remember a few years ago when I got the map, the pieces were priced from 100k to around 4 mill, but 20 mill? That's really bad. I feel sorry for you guys

They still are given out by REs - i get them all the time and think it's overdue, that the prices have finally gone up again to their due worth, when they were at 15 - 30 k only.
Also, they are certainly going to deflate again, once the rush for getting to Omen Islands is over once more.

They're definitely still given out during random events because every once in a blue moon I'll get one. They're just a lot rarer to get now then they used to be. I completed the map ages ago, before the name change to Omen Islands and ended up getting most of them through random events but this was years and years ago.

The inflation makes sense considering how much rarer actually getting the map pieces are than they used to be, and as stated by the earlier poster, they'll likely deflate at some point once demand isn't as high.

Hmm.. looks like I was thinking of the treasure map pieces. If it's an issue it could be brought up in suggestions and making them possible to get once more may be something that Keith could look into.

I looked into getting them recently and noticed the same. That was before the Cruise event started so they were inflated to begin with. From what I read in this thread now it's even worse.

Definitely waiting until the price goes down. Not worth it to invest that much.

I've been getting the regular map pieces from REs, but none of the Uncharted Land Map pieces. They were both not showing up in REs for the longest time, and there was a lots of complaints about that. Then I've seen the regular ones showing up, but none of the Uncharted ones, I wonder if I am unlucky, or if they were overlooked.
They Uncharted pieces were in the crystal shop during the Pirate/Islander war, would kind of like them to show up in there again.

It's not just you, I've gotten plenty of Treasure Map Pieces by RE but none of the Uncharted Land Map pieces. I'm pretty sure that those stopped showing up in RE after the Islander's event, which is like 3 years ago (?).

Yeah the prices are quite ridiculous. When my boyfriend joined in January, he was hunting down all the pieces. I forget what he paid for them, but I don't think it was 29mil...

It's not that the demand for the Omen Islands are high, it's that the number of existing map pieces onsite is low, and it's just getting lower and lower because it doesn't get added onsite anywhere. So waiting for the demand to die down doesn't make sense. If anything, they'll get more and more expensive as there are less and less of them out there, unless they're added to the site somehow (crystal shop, RE etc)

I thought this plot would add some map pieces too, but we just got challengers as we passed Omen Islands...

I haven't seen any of these pieces in ages!!! I am so glad that I completed the map before the Omen War though, the prices right now are ridic.

It would be awesome if they would address this issue. I know there was a suggestion topic not too long ago about making the Island more worth it if they weren't going to do something about bringing the map pieces down.

Actually I got an uncharted lands map piece in an RE yesterday....but its the first one I've gotten that way in years. I hope to see them more often in REs, at least until they become affordable. I mean you shouldn't be able to get them for less than 100K, but they shouldn't cost 20 million either.

I got my map like...ages ago. I think the same year that they were released, but even back then they weren't 'Ohmigawd' expensive. More like the entire set was around a few mil or something. :'I

I got a uncharted lands map piece a few days ago in a RE. But I have gotten more of the regular map pieces from RE than the uncharted ones. Maybe we can get Keith to put a few in the crystal shop or token shop? Or increase the chances of getting one from a RE? Just a thought.

It makes me glad I was able to complete my map shortly after I joined Subeta. The pieces were a lot cheaper three years ago.

Omg, I got mine recently for about 15 mill... and they were about 21 mill for the whole thing. o_O

Did everyone buy the pieces recently while we were passing by the Omen Islands for the site event?? They're like 47.2 mill now!

I checked these a while ago when my brother joined and the prices were way inflated and they are even worse now. I'm so glad I got the map finished years ago when I didn't have to chop off an arm to do it.

Why is this so expensive? There isn't even that much you can do at the Omen Islands. Ocean Depths is nice, but it's not worth 25 mil.

I don't remember ever turning in the map but I must have done so, probably a long time ago. It's crazy how expensive it is now; I don't think I would have done it if the map was as expensive as it is now. Just not worth it, not even for OD

I just joined not too long ago and so far have been very impressed with how (in general) affordable most things are. Sure, there are expensive things, like there always will be, but there seems to be a very good balance between inexpensive things for newer players and cool expensive things that you've just got to put on your wishlist and save up for. These darn Uncharted maps are the only thing that's killing me. My whole goal was to turn one or two pets to Hydrus, but at these prices? I'm all for taking my time, earning the money, and saving up, but yikes! In this case I'm ready to just forget it. >.<
